What it is
xCoin is a proof-of-work coin. Ticker XID. Mainnet started September 26, 2026, 00:00 UTC. Rules were frozen at genesis.

Every spend is signed with ML-DSA-65 (NIST FIPS 204) from block 1. SLH-DSA-SHA2-128s is also valid. There is no classical signature type on this chain. Node connections use hybrid ML-KEM-768.

Read the repos before you run binaries. Build from source if you can. Do not paste a seed into mining software.

Mining
Algo is MetalDAG: memory-hard, 4 GiB dataset, dataset grows 128 MiB every 14-day epoch. The bottleneck is memory bandwidth, not a warehouse full of cheap hash chips.

That is why they point at machines people already have, especially Apple Silicon: MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, Mac Studio, iMac. Unified memory is the point. Project docs say 16 GB RAM or more for the 4 GiB DAG; an 8 GB Mac is not a good fit.

Recommended miner is MMM.

The project site shows a live M3 Pro session around 8.61 MH/s. Your number depends on the machine, heat and power mode.

Pool example from the project:
Code:
pool.xcoinminer.com
port 3335
payout address starts with xpa1r

Coinbase matures after 1,000 blocks, about 3.5 days at 5-minute blocks.

Money rules
• Cap: 100,000,000 XID, 8 decimals, enforced every block
• No premine, no founder allocation, no sale
• Warm-up: 6.25 / 12.5 / 25 XID per block, 20,000 blocks each
• Then 50 XID per block from block 60,001 to 220,000
• After that, 10% less every 110,000 blocks (~382 days)
• Floor 1.5 XID per block for a long stretch, then a fade. Last coin around 2363
• Schedule hash is committed in genesis. Anyone can add the table up to the cap

Genesis
Block 0 mints nothing. Coinbase carries the charter hash.

Code:
Genesis hash:
3bc1a36df7d786a5c4584e21d248e0a3785a96aaa60a5b3959dfad50283379f2

Charter hash:

Who runs the software
Distributed Ledger Technologies (Passaic, NJ) ships the reference code and public infra. They say they do not sell coins, do not list XID, and have no admin key that can freeze or reassign coins. Rule changes need a protocol upgrade that node operators choose to run.

Related sites they list
• Wallet demo: https://xpayapp.com
• Self-custody account UI: https://xalon.com
• Spot market (separate site, one pair XID/USDC): https://ayedex.com

That last one is an exchange with its own rules and fees. Not required to use the coin.

No price talk from me. If you mine, check the explorer first and confirm you are on mainnet. A 16 GB+ MacBook or Mac mini is a reasonable place to start; it is not a promise that your electric bill will love you.

Disclaimer
I am not the founder, not on the DLT team, and I do not speak for the project. I am a community member posting a summary from the public site and the public GitHub repos so people here can look at it themselves. Check the official pages, the explorer, the charter and the source before you mine or send coins. Nothing here is financial advice.
