So let's make it simple DogeOS is just another separate chain (L2) for doge coin. Honestly, i don't see anything special with this, and as i know DogeOS only uses dogecoin as the coin to pay gas on its network, but i've heard that they also have a plan to launch DogeOS token.
If that is the case, then I misunderstood the matter. I thought that something like Dogecoin can pass upgrade proposals (such as
OP_CHECKZKP) via a soft fork and thus integrate smart contracts and not Layer-2 / Sidechain Platforms, which will not gain that fame or bring about real change.
The doge dev was not interesting in it. They would be doing a hard fork to make it happen if they liked it, but it seemed they only try to make it simple. That's why they worked with bitgo to launch Wrapped Dogecoin in the past.
It's just another developer who is trying to create another unnecessary chain, then issue their own token to bags money. I've also heard there was a venture capital who backed mydoge team who develop DogeOS. So i'm sure they have a plan to launch alt for themselves and VC who backed them and i see DogeOS ticker already listed on cryptorank.
DogeOS has already secured funding from VC Polychain Capital of $ 6.9 M and we know these VCs often fund L2 projects which you might say will rake in other investors ' money.
There is nothing special about creating your own native token in the end, there are already many projects of this kind that do not survive in the market in the end.
https://cryptorank.io/price/dogeosThere's no free launch these days. Polychain invested in so many L2 and they get token in return. They're also a venture capital, not a charity firm.
See they get lots of tokens from the various projects they invested.
https://dropstab.com/investors/polychain-capital/portfolio The purpose to list not working eco is just to build the hype around people if there are dapps developers who interested to build apps in their L2, but since it's only tesnet. It means nothing.
