Even though I always prefer Bitcoin over the other mentioned but you gotta be fair as well, growth is easier for asset that starts from low.

S&P500 is literally basket of stocks, it's like comparing apple to orange.

Gold on the other hand has always valued high from hundred of years ago.

I'm not gonna refute the fact that Bitcoin is fastest growing asset that goes from cents to $122,000 at ATH that's billion percent gain.

But comparing it to something that supposedly stable, large in valuation already between the range of time you selectively picked, feels disingenuous.

S&P500 is literally basket of stocks, it's like comparing apple to orange.
Invest your money in S&P500 is safe because it will certainly grow up with time and with long term investment, you will get profit. Invest money in a basket of stocks like this one, will be helpful for both risk management and profit earning opportunity. If you invest money in a single stock of a company, there is risk of losing money, even all of your initial capital if that company has a bankruptcy for example.

Gold on the other hand has always valued high from hundred of years ago.
There is no doubt about gold that is a very traditional investment asset, store of value, with very long history of existence and success. It's not bad to have gold in your basket of investment assets as it gives safety for your capital as well as chance of getting profit. However, if people want something more, with better ROI, they will look for something like Bitcoin.

In coming years and cycles, Bitcoin ROI will become smaller but it's reasonable because with bigger market cap, Bitcoin won't be able to have very high ROIs like it had in the past.

It is interesting to watch Bitcoin growth and rank climb in the future in comparison and ranking table with the other assets.

-snip-
Bitcoin's limited supply and the speed of its adoption do their job.
I agree with the speed of adoption as one of the major reasons for the huge and speedy price hike because without it, there can't be any liquidity inflow. But for limited supply, well, for me, it is highly overrated than it helped, and what's currently happening lately proves it, to the point that Bitcoin hardly make any move during halving now, which supposed to create the scarcity.

It rather helped in the psychology it created in people's mind, where halving was instrumental in relation to the traditional 4-year cycle. But in the actual economics, I don't think it's significant as people say.

It's already happening. Just look at the last bull cycle. Bitcoin only went 80% above its previous ATH, while the previous cycles had much bigger gains. I wouldn't be surprised if that keeps shrinking next cycle.

Iirc bitcoin once climbed to #5 at around $2.2T market cap, even ahead of Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, Tesla...There was even some thread about it, and I was pretty confident it'd make it to 2 in the next bull run. But look at how NVDA and the rest of big tech are performing. I don't see it climbing to 2 in the next few years tbh.

"Rapid declines" are simply Golden Opportunities disguised as something "Bearish". Cool

If a person truly understood the basics of Bitcoin, how it works, what makes the network stick together, and also understood that the legacy financial system will always print more money to sustain itself, then those "rapid declines" will be something more Bullish.

With Bitcoin, there is no death spiral like Terra tokens (LUNA and UST), FTX exchange's token FTT, and other shitcoins, meme tokens. With Bitcoin, there are things like bear markets, bull run drawdowns, bull run corrections, bear market dips, crashes but eventually bear markets end and new market cycles and bull market comes to make new all time highs for Bitcoin.

With Bitcoin, "rapid declines" are great opportunities for buying cheaper bitcoin that did not exist in bull markets. Intelligent and experienced investors are not fearful with "rapid declines" but are super excited with such and they even are well prepared for buying dips.

With Bitcoin, all the we PLEBS need to understand is that the Federal Reserve and the Central Banks around the globe will ALWAYS print more "money" to sustain the legacy financial system.

Fiat currencies' value go down = Hard assets' value go up. It's truly an easy decision to HODL Bitcoin.
