Certain people will want to start their business while others will want to run a day job.

There is nothing with either one. As long as you love what you do and you are satisfied with the pay, the latter being a personal choice, it is fine. Nobody can force you to do something that you do not find enjoyment in.

But the thing is that in jobs you might not have much of a voice to speak with unless you get promoted to high levels while in a business you have that which again comes with other mode tedious responsibilities.

It's crazy how everybody on this thread agrees that not everybody should go into business, then when somebody posts a topic about how people need to do business to add to their income, or something like "doing business is better than salary jobs", all of you will agree.
So which side are you guys on?
Different people want to do different things, and that is fine. Some want to pursue their careers, others want jobs. Some want to be entertainers, painters, journalists, freelancers, and that is totally fine. You can't expect everybody to do business simply because they need other sources of income or because "you cannot be rich by working for somebody", which is a bullshit claim anyway.

jack of all trade and master of none has no business doing business,  in business you must focus on the one you have knowledge about and can make a good money for you. Jumping on difference business because others are making money without knowledge of such business will lead to failure and that's what your friend experienced in his business.

I really do not like how unrealistic people are when it comes to this topic on this forum. It's like we all suddenly forget how difficult starting and operating a business is. I'm not saying what you said is wrong, but how do you know the business failed because he doesn't have knowledge of the business he went into? Do you mean every business that has ever failed, the people who run it didn't have knowledge of what they were getting into, or they just jumped into it?
Getting your business to be successful needs a lot of factors. Funds are a major factor, but there are so many more. It's hard as hell.

Look, whatever business you do, you should be patient, without patience you cannot succeed anywhere. So your friend must choose a suitable place and continue trading there patiently. Maybe today you can trade less, but the next day you can trade more and earn quite good benefits.

I'm with the idea that people should go after work they are comfortable with and actually good at. Don't jump into a field just because you see someone else doing well or because everyone says it is good one.

However, I don't think simply doing what you love is enough to make you successful. Loving your work can definitely give you more motivation, but success takes more than that. Effort's necessary but not sufficient, you also need actual skill, ability to adapt, market condition working in your favor...

I think that not everyone needs to be a businessman. It is not entirely true that if someone does not do business, they will be left far behind in the forest. If everyone goes into business, then who will grow crops on agricultural land? Who will do the work of a laborer? And who will handle professions like doctors or engineers? Society actually depends on people of various kinds. And to do business, it is not enough to have money alone, patience, understanding the market, keeping accounts, being an honest and non-false person, gaining a lot of trust from people, and many other things are needed, which are not present in everyone.

@OP, If the person you know changes businesses every two years, then it is more important to find out why the previous businesses were not sustainable before starting a new business. For example, there were no customers in the store, or the costs were high, or they did business in the wrong place, or they expected quick profits, in other words, if you just change businesses without understanding the reason, the same mistake can be repeated. In my opinion, whoever has the skills within them can do that job well, so we should know about our inner talent, what we can do best, knowing these things, if we enter any profession, there will never be a problem in that business or job life. Business is a path, but business is never the only way to do well in life.

Copying someones business and his business style indeed wont make copycat person successful, especially if that person did not bring anything new or innovative. Also I agree that not always doing what you love wont make you successful. I love hand labor; repairing something, building, creating. But I will never make this as my job, nor wish I have business in construction or repairing industry. When I fix or create something with hand, I, so to say, relax and enjoy the moment. That joy wont make me wealthy.

World dont need everyone to be an employers. Without employees business wont be possible.

The aim of every business owner is to make profit, in life every one want to make money by doing one thing or the other. Answering directly to the question, must everyone venture in to business? I will say is a capital no because there are different areas or things through which people can or are making money from and every one can not just be in to business, if it happens that way what about the other areas? Probably a lot of things will be going wrong because every aspect through which people are involved for making money are very important generally, I can be good in business while the other person can be good maybe in something else. Business is not for everyone and if you tried it didn't work out maybe such person should try something else.

Anytime I'm been advice to start a business, I just smile like I know nothing. If business are that easy, everyone will be doing it and I'm sure the elite in that settings will even do things that will discourage other people to want to start that kind of business. In my country, it's very hard to start a build a business from scratch, if you see a one doing any business and had been there for long and doesn't complain, that person has government backings.

I personally don't have time for business, I work and I earned well. I do have investments in other places and I can sustain myself with the lifestyle I live. I have some investment in some coins, if that changes my financial status, I will be happy and if it does not I will be happy. As long as I'm not in debts, I'm not in any financial difficulties, I will let people that want to do business badly to continue to do the business because I can't do it.

Not everyone has what it takes to start up a business but yet a lot of people have the mentality that it is the only way to  make money or become successful but that's not actually true. Before venturing into business one thing you need to make sure of is that you can maintain the capital necessary to keep the business running because sustainance is very important and not just about starting up he business without having a plan. I'm of the opinion that you don't have to stress about starting a business when you know fully well that you aren't capable of handling it financially. There are people that have put themselves in bankruptcy all because they tried to overextend themselves to start a business.

TBH, Jumping from one business to another is a solid indication of lack of definiteness of purpose and success mindset, to succeed in a business, you must have passion, vision, patience, organized plan and persistence. If you've passion for a business venture, you'll not quit at the first sight of defeat, you should persist on achieving your vision for that business. Building a business involves a lot of patience and persistence, businesses don't just flourish overnight, you've to keep investing both time and finances and remain committed, adjusting strategy when needed until success is attained.

Again not everyone can start and sustain a business, sometimes you can invest in a promising one and just enjoy the dividends. If you don't have what it takes to run one by yourself, you can invest in an already successful one and turn it into a passive income source.

I will answer this question first and my answer is NO.
Not everyone can meetup with the demands of business speaking frankly. Business is very demanding especially when you're a newbie and haven't gotten a structure to sustain the business with or without your presence.
In the case of this man there could be different reasons why he hasn't been able to succeed in his business endeavours that's why it's advisable to run a business that you have knowledge on or just learn about the business before investing your money in it. To succeed in business, first of all, a person has to research the business, gain specific knowledge and be aware of the risks of the business. There are both losses and gains in business, so if you face a loss, you have to accept it naturally and learn from your previous mistakes, be more aware and manage risks, and stick to it patiently until the end. You should not get disappointed quickly or give up quickly because of disappointment. You should remember that there can be losses in business. It is never possible to achieve success by changing your business quickly, as a result, you will face financial losses. It is very important to have a long-term plan in business, so it is not business for a person who is not patient. Not really.. not everyone needs to be a businessperson.. some people are suited to be entrepreneurs, but there are also those who are better off as employees.. there are many ways to earn extra income, it's not just about being a businessperson.. someone can start by looking for freelance work, affiliate jobs, copywriting, becoming an influencer, there are many other jobs that can be done.

Being an entrepreneur is also not an easy thing, because you can't expect that just because you have capital and a business idea, everything will go smoothly, it's actually more challenging, and for people who aren't used to business, they could go bankrupt quickly because they can't run their business properly.
