Privacy Data Coin (PDC)

Privacy Data Coin is a confidential blockchain. A wallet transfer hides the sender, the receiver, the amount, and the asset type. The same path is used for confidential assets, public aliases, and staking.

The network is running. The desktop wallet, the node, the block explorer, and a public mining pool are available. The source is open.

Specification

• Ticker: PDC
• Premine: none. PREMINE_AMOUNT is zero in the source.
• Consensus: RandomARQ proof of work and Zarcanum proof of stake
• Proof of stake is accepted from height 0. Hard fork 4, named Zarcanum, activates after height 100.
• Hard forks 1, 2, and 3 activate after heights 20, 40, and 60. Hard forks 5, 6, and 7 are set to activate together after height 1199.
• Proof of work and proof of stake each target 120 seconds. The combined block target is 60 seconds.
• Base block reward: 1 PDC. It does not decay with height.
• Decimals: 12
• Default fee: 0.01 PDC
• Ring signatures: d/v-CLSAG. 10 decoys by default, 15 after hard fork 4.
• Amounts: Pedersen commitments and Bulletproofs+
• Address prefixes: Px (standard), iP (integrated), aPx (auditable), aiPX (auditable integrated)
• Coinbase unlock: 10 blocks. Coinstake age: 10 blocks. At most 21 proof-of-stake blocks in a row.
• Default ports: P2P 19121, RPC 19211, daemon stratum 19777

What the coin is for

PDC pays the transaction fee and is the unit sent in a wallet transfer. Holders can stake it. After height 100, proof of stake uses Zarcanum, so a stake does not publish the balance. The chain also carries user-issued confidential assets and public aliases.

Status and next work

The mainnet is operating, with a desktop GUI wallet, a node, an explorer, a mining pool, and public source code.

Current work is stability of the node, synchronization, and the GUI wallet. A mobile wallet is planned and is not released. The project will seek exchange integration and a wider community. No exchange listing is announced. Further work follows the same protocol line as Zano, with Privacy Data Coin’s own wallet and network work.
