That is because of the credit scoring and they cannot ignore the benefits with it. Aside from the credit card scoring, it also includes the banking and financial scoring through how much they have in their savings accounts.

I've forgotten already that and have put majority of my money in bitcoin and holding it on my own. I can withdraw it anytime without being asked where I will use my money.

I had a hard time in withdrawing my money in the bank when I was in need, my signature was required and the teller was even suspicious if it's my money.

There is no argument about some people in this bitcoin space dealing with exchanges, neither will I defend them but if really, individuals who has third parties controlling their keys still enjoy freedom then fiat is not any better. The idea that it doesn’t loose value like fiat may be giving them a level of confidence and safety.

I believe there are still individuals who are yet to understand the concept of bitcoin, especially how to secure it but yet, are interested in bitcoin for its worth. Many are  new, and understanding cryptography is not a day job.

You can only put it to those who has been in this forum but are not utilizing self custody which is one of the major way to enjoy complete freedom with bitcoin.  And I don’t even want to believe that there are still people in this forum who have their keys controlled by a third party (that’s using exchange as a place of custody)
One thing I think they believe in which is difficult for me to accept is that some of them know the danger of keeping their coins with third party but they still believe its better than fiat where you’re automatically a customer with your own money.
