Nigerian soldiers put their lives on line just to protect us, and they carry out their duties diligently without even minding they are being paid peanuts at the end of the month. For a very long time Nigerians has been agitating that the salary of our military personnels should be raised, I'm so happy that the federal government has answered that call now. The increment in our military personnels salary won't change anything in fighting insecurity when the high hierarchy in our military and federal government aren't ready to fight insecurity in the country. So if we will want the fight against insecurity to improve, we have to demand it from Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the high hierarchy in our military.

Its now many have come to understand why the insecurity is still increasing in Nigeria today,  even if our military is paid millions per month,  if the political interference contributing to this uncontrollable insecurity is not handled, the situation will still keep repeating itself.
The only reason why this insecurity cannot be controlled in Nigeria is basically because of the corruption that exists in all public sector of the country, especially in the military where the top personnels are used to archive the goals of our politicians which is nothing but to steal the resources of the country without been questioned. Its a good news seeing this increment but their need to be total revamping in the military sector so the bandits will lose their strong backbone.

The increments won't change anything, it's good the government answered and increased their pay but I don't think that will change anything, the inflation on goods and product are high even the money will not sort all their problems but it's just better than before , military personnel are actually trying, especially fighting for the country ,but because of the rate of corruption I don't think they will want to go beyond their capacity just because of increments that is been made, our government should just do better for her people, aside the increase in pay , their is still lot of things our government should do for those soliders is not really easy to fight for a society, lot of sacrifice are been put in front of them .

The increment will actually do alot for them comparing to the little amount they were earning all this years, low salary can equally cause the soldiers to engage in evil just to get paid so they can fed their families back home, it is understood that the inflation in the country is very worrisome and it takes an average Nigerian to survive. The way this country is now I can't trade my life defending it no matter the amount I'm being offered so those that are in any sectors in the military are really trying and after all the sacrifices they are underpaid and not recognized properly.

If they are paid very well they will give everything for the country because money has power and once it has been increased they will surely put in their best to protect the country. The government should prioritize the arm forces as they lay down their lives in other to safeguard this country.
