If AI is taking everyone's job, it would be logical to say that nobody will have money left to buy cars manufactured by AI. The U.S. is already banning china's manufactured cars for national security reasons, the U.S. is probably not going to get affected by this. Maybe countries should start thinking about their national security instead of endlessly importing everything just because it's cheaper.

The wave is moving down to US, developing countries, are not left out too, if nothing is done about this unfair trading practice, many companies would fold leaving more people unemployed.
Call it an unfair trading practice if you want but if it's for the benefit of the many, that should be treated as a positive development. Thing is, if China could sell us cheaper cars and they're working well, why would we buy an expensive one? This is a competition among makers but from the consumer standpoint we just want a cheap and reliable one, and China has delivered that.

This is only evident that things could be manufactured cheaper than it was done before china came fully into production. The electric vehicles you’re talking about are not really bad when you look at them and are very much affordable, so why not? If chains can do it then other could also do it and make it affordable too I see this as a challenge and not like a threat to other manufacturing countries, and it will only help boost the world economy and not the other way round.

That's the overall sentiment, IMO. From what I've seen, in any industry, prices are always lower, and it's really hard to compete because everyone is trying to make a living. I have read this, and it's by David Autor et al. It's China shock 1.0. https://youtu.be/OQEJrBhvOWQ?si=vUTs3kAPyaFEDjhDAnd this 2.0 might really be interesting to see, and how it would show the effects geographically now. I assume it's job losses in certain places and regions. From what I see, the government should provide subsidies to help everyone here, but it's going to be difficult.

I don't think this is a good idea, if we are thinking of a long term solution here, subsidy should not be the answer. Some nations just have to be competitive if they are affected by China's production, so they should adapt to the current situation, they need to get better technology, lower production costs, and most importantly improve the supply chain as consumers will just naturally choose which are the cheaper ones.

Instead of thinking of how to stop the Chinese from taking over the market, countries with the capability should start considering how to become more competitive with the Chinese to ensure that they do not completely dominate the market. We cannot deny that some Chinese products, like their vehicles, have features superior to vehicles of the same year from some foreign brands. Foreign brands need to become more creative. While developing countries can leverage the need that the Chinese have for markets for their products, and instead of just becoming a dumping ground, make decisions that still favor local populations and industries even while the Chinese can market their products. Countries with the capability can improve their industry and workforce to be able to compete and even slash prices to survive.

Those who only asks for protection but do not improve their strategies will remain behind.

For the expansion of a country and the economy of the country may be a disaster but for the majority of people who do like the way china because they provide prices that are much cheaper than competitors then we also can not blame the people who did eventually turn to China because it is considered to provide more benefits. As for the AI problem that became an early problem when the US and some other big companies made paid AI but China's breakthrough with free AI that they put out even with almost the same features open source then this will obviously make a different view. For the market maybe this will damage the market but for the benefit of people who always prioritize profits from the beginning then when there is a free they will not bother to look for a paid one. This is only a small part of the movements and strategies of economic market domination now. From a global economic point of view maybe this will be considered destructive because its expansion will be hard to match but for the common people who are indeed always looking for profit (albeit a little) when there are more profitable, cheaper and more complex then they will look for that and currently China consciously or unconsciously offers it.

China is certainly doing some very advanced things these days and are conquering areas like car manufacturing. No doubt they'll soon be a major producer of advanced microchips which will free themselves from dependence on overseas manufacturers. They're in the middle of transitioning to a service based economy but that has positives and negatives. The positive being that it takes people out of factory conditions and some of the dirtier jobs they've done along the way to becoming a major power. The negatives are harder to solve, if we take the financial sector for example - they're not going to capture massive amounts of foreign capital moving around because their government and legal system is so opaque. There's also a trend that many overseas companies see about doing business in China, which is they will eventually steal your idea and cut you out of the equation, which leads to less trust of the country in general. A lot of these advanced new fields they are entering are also not going to produce that many jobs, yet they have the second largest population in the planet and if the old jobs disappear without being replaced it'll cause big problems in their society. Other countries are also starting to push back on Chinese exports, because they have a tendency to dump in order to push competitors out and are not as open to receiving imports any more.

Subsidy is not such a bad idea, but yeah, I agree that other countries will have to adapt. But even if they do, they will not be able to beat China. China has the resources and the trade route. They have the relatively cheaper labour too. It's easy to say "other countries should sit up", but it's not that simple. They don't have what China has. In China, companies can get funding from the government, so they can go years without making a profit, and that will be fine. They can also monopolise the market by offering very cheap products so their competitors in other countries will go out of business. This will make it possible for China to control the price without competition. It's good to have cheaper products, but it also has its consequences in the long run if not handled properly.

The YouTube video is too long for me to be watching it, but I can understand what it is all about from what the YouTuber said in the beginning of the video which is similar to what you also posted. People like to buy things that are cheap. Other countries should look for ways they can sell their products cheap also. But I do not think they are bothered because people are still buying their products.

Actually China ambition for disrupting global trade are well planned and openly announced to the world, not something unintentional. Every five years China publishing a list of industries they wish to dominate and government make specific SOP through a blueprint to achieve this, as well as to facilitate the provision of funds and streamline bureaucratic processes. What happen in China when government release these 5 years plan which which are then broken down into annual targets and tactical blueprints at all levels are very different with practices in my country or other. I see a mass movement extending from the central level down to the smallest local level. On the central fovernment, miinistry establishes quotas, regulations, and allocations of billions of yuan in funding for strategic sectors. On state level, governors and mayors immediately competed and translating guidelines become local projects to achieve their regions growth targets. in the lowest level, from village level party committees and factory managers to start ups, entities are adjusting their daily operations to align with the direction of incentives from the central authorities. We show policy continuity even government change, the blueprint do not change, their execution speed with it instant total mobilization is amazing especially funding and regulatory. Private sector also make alignment voluntary compliance with incentives. The last strict KPIs as a career evaluation mechanism making effective motivation achieving the five year plan targets in its region. https://asiasociety.org/policy-institute/growth-visibility-bureaucratic-incentives-after-chinas-cadre-evaluation-reformshttps://ipdefenseforum.com/2020/03/made-in-china-2025-disappears-in-name-only/

The world government had strict limitations to the products China exported in excess there were allowed to do that in the furniture business. Now those limits has proven hard to curtail, they're now on the bigger sectors. The affected G20 nations could come up with a strong policy or fine placed on the Chinese government to rebalance it's economy or stop the funding of excessive exports in such sectors, where the Chinese dominance would damage or obstruct the world trade.

To me china is making things easier for someone like myself, they don't want too much profits like my people do and the create good products too. That's clearly other countries' problem, and they've already lost this race to China. China has broken the monopoly and dominant position they've tried to maintain for decades. And instead of competing fairly and improving their own competitiveness. They're all ganging up on China and trying to restrict or block Chinese products. LOL. I wonder, if the same thing came out of the US, Germany or Japan, what would they call it then? Tech breakthrough, progress for humanity...? Heh.

It will be a different name and narrative certainly, Brands from other countries have been dominating the market for a very long time, I do not see an issue if the Chinese are trying to make a break into the market. They feel threatened by the technology the Chinese will offer at a cheaper price. For we the consumers, the competition can actually favor us in some way because because of the pressure from the Chinese, other brands will have to reduce the price of their goods to be able to compete and that reduction in price will make some items more affordable for us to get because of the brand options available.

A mass chapter 11 would show the world their dependencies. Some companies would need to sort out alternative sources.
