Practical benefits from taking care of yourself is it's own benefit because practically it will show on you. A big win after a long losing streak gives me a thrill and it definitely gives me a different feeling. I have won relatively big wins many times in gambling after losing small amounts but I have not used it to make any purchases. I agree with all that you say except the vacation. There is always benefit in a vacation in some exotic places as you totally get out of the 9 to 5 rat race for a couple of weeks and also you recharge your batteries from any burnout you may have from a prolonged busy schedule at your work. The only success I try to reinforce is to show my proof to fellow gamblers here but I have been on the losing side with 0 success from many years now so I got nothing to prove.
