Second, Local Moderators: In recent months, the remaining Indonesian local moderators have been inactive, and moderation may have been handled by global moderators.
I suggest that pm should be send to the moderator to know the reason why it has been inactive for awhile, before seeking for replacement...And if it doesn't respond to the pm sent by reputable members of the local board, it's when request of replacement will be effective...but if you have done all this procedures already,I think the replacement appeal should be granted...because none of the local boards suppose to have inactive moderator..All the locals board mods suppose to be proactive/active at all time...

We (Croatian local board) lost our local mod Lauda years ago (not sure whether he was removed or he stepped down as it was before my time here) and we never got a new one, even though at that moment in time we were even more active than you are now. That of course doesn't mean that you won't get a replacement for sapta (that was removed) and dbshck that is inactive, but just warning you that it might take time, if it gets approved at all.
I don't know if anyone in your local board has requested or appeal for a similar replacement and it took time before replacement, based on your point of veiws...Because their own case can be given a consideration attention, due to a local board can't stand firm without a moderator...actually a request like this doesn't been granted as urgent as we may expect...but in this case, I'm of the opinion that the request should be granted swiftly...

Rooting for both of you on the application merits source, and hope at least one of you can become a "merits source" soon. July is the toughest month for Sub Forum Indonesia, with the tragedy involving a former moderator and one of our beloved moderators dbshck inactive, maybe due to personal activity in his IRL. However, even dbshck are currently inactive we still believe he will came back later and he also showing some support for the application before he become inactive.

I strongly support taufik123's application to become a merit source. He is one of our most active and dedicated long-term members.

The Indonesian subforum is in need of more active merit sources. I was previously one of the main merit spenders, but my activity has decreased over the past year. Appointing passionate members like him would be very beneficial for our community, ensuring that quality posts receive the recognition they deserve. Smiley

Comparation 2 month for merits circulation, before & after from July (at the time the tragedy and our beloved local moderator become inactive) taken from [STATS] Distribusi Merit Sub Forum Indonesia.

GL bro for the application.

I suggest that pm should be send to the moderator to know the reason why it has been inactive for awhile
IRL stuff, but before our moderator become inactive he already show the support for the application of merits source. We surely believe he will back.

Thanks AakZaki for creating this thread and maybe it will help the Indonesian Sub Forum get more attention about the needs of Source Merit that are really needed today.
There are many different points of view about this equality thread, but this is a discussion and it has become commonplace, especially about the Moderator of course this requires a direct decision from theymos.

A few months ago I also made a discussion about whether Indonesia needs a new moderator or not and got a response from one of the staff Xal0lex
Although getting a new moderator depends on statistical data or the activeness of the sub forum, it is possible that it can be granted but not in the near future.

🛡️ DISKUSI MODERATOR BARU UNTUK SFI 🛡️

What is important at this time is the Merit Source needed by the Indonesian Sub Forum, the Merit Distribution in September alone has decreased quite drastically,
while we only have 1 Merit Source and I myself have limited Merit.

I did it a few months ago, asking about the Bribery case that happened to our local Moderator, but dbshck is still not active until now.

I love the fact that you actually pointed out your concern and what you need in your local board.
One thing I know concerning merit source being given to a local board is how active the local board is, the more active the local board is the more merit source will be allocated to it.
I don't know much about Indonesia community (their local board) but I knew about Husna QA who is one of best posters in this forum, especially if talking about technical threads/ posts.

sapta is another member from Indonesia local board I knew but since years ago when he was a moderator and run signature campaigns and bounties.

About local board activity, I guess that local board has genuine activities, they don't fake active discussions to deeply fish merit in local board or to make it more active in order to get local moderator and more merit sources. My feelings only.

That local board has kind of long history but replace removed merit sources/ removed moderator usually does not happen immediately or shortly.

Another example I know is the Polish local board, there is no local moderator after malevolent stepped down.

According to this data, Indonesia's local boards are quite active compared to several other local boards.

What I would like to raise regarding equality is:
First, Merit Source: What I noticed is that there is only one local Indonesian Merit Source, so historically the merit distribution lower compared to other local boards, even those with lower activity than Indonesia, in this case let's call it the following local board:

Data as of September
  • Indonesia: 58 users, 710 posts - 301 merits
  • Italy: 52 users, 486 posts - 445 merits
  • Spain: 33 users, 324 posts - 519 merits
I think the same with our Local board and as I can see that Philippines and Indonesia arent far from numbers when it comes to local post but the ratio of merits is slightly higher in your boards. Im also the only one Merit Source of our local board and my limit is only 50smerits per month, we can accumulate merits too from other local board users but compared to Indonesia merit ratio yours are a bit higher which is quite fortunate compared to us.
