Sad news for those in that area who use and see the casinos that are affected as best casinos, people will still find other casinos to start using, there are a lot of very good casinos to use.
This are the casinos that I saw on the list and I think I should put it down because most people really don’t like clicking on links.

The only casino I have actually seen is Chips casino and I think it was on this forum or on social media i really can’t remember.
They said about 850 workers will be affected and that’s a sad one too.

A lot of people are just saying it's a sad news since those that works with the casinos will become jobless but I don't see it that way because if a casino goes bankrupt and shutdown, it is mostly an avenue for a new casino to emerge. What this means is that some of those who became jobless after the closure of the former casino they work with will have to apply to work with new casinos and of course it is easier for them to get a job in another casino since they will ask for work experience and they will also want to employ people that have knowledge in casino games so it's not totally a sad news for them.

This is not a good news at all and it going to make so many workers jobless except new casinos are going to be created in due time. Those that have been working for these casinos that will be closing soon are not going to be happy and some of them will be losing their source of income in due time, mostly for those that don't have any other work apart from the remote job they are handling for these casinos. Most of the players using the casinos would have to look for another casino they will be using as replacement.

I went through some of the responses to the X post, and the majority of the people are blaming the tough economy for this closure. Maybe people can't afford to gamble, or these Maverick Gaming-owned casinos are no longer competitive. Brick-and-mortar casinos are competing with online casinos, with the latter growing rapidly to become the norm among young people.

Well, this is how business is if you’re not competitive enough, you eventually go under as for the workers who would lose their jobs I believe whatever skills they learned while in the casino is transferable to other fields that are similar so it is nothing to worry about. Well not a very good story for casinos lovers in the affected area and even for the management of these different casinos. Because this is not a too much good news as these casinos were businesses that, were run and managed by people. Infact it used to put food on the tables of plenty people because slot of persons were employed by these casinos. So from the economic point of view it's not a good news because at this point government too is going to loss out on the tax that they use to get from these Casinos.

But from what I read on the link that is provided it's due to financial crisis, which maybe as a result of growing competition from new casinos. If the revenue that they are making is not enough to running these casinos then automatic close down is the only viable option here.

I'm actually surprised that even more land based casinos are not closing down because of online gambling. I think they stay open mostly thanks to older people, as retired folks make up the majority of land casino visitors today. Without them those places would have no business at all. Even so, it feels like we will see more closures year after year as older clients pass away, get too old to go or switch over to online casinos.
As for the workers I'm not so sure it will be easy for most of them to find a new job quickly. Between automation and AI taking over, finding work in a dying industry is becoming very difficult.

The very reason is obvious that due to many employees they have and then the operational cost becomes a lot of expenses to them that they can no longer sustain, they'll have to end up closing it all. They're like the normal companies that have no option when they're either drowning in losses, the cost gets higher and it makes no sense to do more business, simply filing a chapter 11 - bankruptcy is what they'll make them avoid any further obligations.

I believe it's lack of funds that is the cause of the problem in the OP. Land based casinos are more expensive to operate than online casinos.

Based on the article, they are losing market share to the competitor, they cannot rebuild, and they cannot keep up because physical casinos have a small market, their patrons are only in these areas, and the tourists, if they cannot offer better amenities and features, will go to the next casino.

So if they have small market shares and they cannot keep operational expenses, then their only option is to downsize or stop the operations; stopping the operations is the best option.

The sad part here is the number of employees who will be out of a job. I really wish that it were a switch to online gambling because somehow they could still absorb some of the employees for computer jobs and other employees who are necessary in their office where the website is running.

I think they were talking specifically about casino employees here, not the gambers.  So In my opinion when a casino like that shuts down, it can definitely become a serious problem for a lot of families.
As for the gamblers, I completely agree with you here. Looking at a casino as a regular source of income is a very dangerous approach.
