Nine military personnel are among those detained.
According to local media, the case involves the FXO platform, which was promoted in Greece by an organization called AT Team Greece ("Greek Artificial Intelligence Team").
Investors were told that the platform used artificial intelligence (AI) to automatically trade cryptocurrency, capable of doubling their investments in just 50 days with virtually no risk."
Haha, 10k of them fell for an offer that says "no risk". That's not a surprise. People will always invest their money in projects that claim they can make you profit for sure. It's human nature to make money without any risk, but they don't realize the risks of trading and cryptocurrency, and that's why they bought this scheme in the first place.
If they had given it a second thought that AI is not that advanced yet to make trades with virtually no risk, then they might have saved their funds.
It is AI now, before it was the Metaverse, cloud mining, etc. There will always be something. But why is it not surprising to me anymore that army personnel are scamming people haha? Maybe I have seen too many.
