Hello Bitcointalk community 👋

We’ve recently started doing more real-money casino tests on CoinGambling.info and wanted to get some feedback from you.

The idea is pretty simple: our iGaming casino tester actually deposits their own test funds and goes through the casino as a regular player.

✅ We check things like deposits, bonuses and wagering, games, KYC if it comes up, withdrawals, support, and any issues or unexpected conditions we run into during the test.

✅ We also track how long deposits and withdrawals actually take, rather than just repeating the processing times listed on the website.

✅ Each test includes screenshots from the casino account and a step-by-step description of what happened.

🔹One important thing: these are real first-person tests, so they show one particular player experience. If, for example, a withdrawal took longer than expected or KYC was requested, it doesn’t necessarily mean every player will have the same experience. We just report what actually happened during our test without trying to make it look better or worse.🔹

We’d be interested to hear what you guys would like to see in these tests Roll Eyes

Is there anything important that casino reviews usually miss? Huh

Or maybe there’s a specific casino you’d like us to test? Wink

Yes, there are quite some things they don't really add but just repeating all of the ones that you have also mentioned here but one thing that I consider important for players that most reviews doesn't cover is that they don't tell whether the casino usually enhances their KYC after a player has been excessively profitable, an example of what I mean is this thread.  If one is excessively profitable, some casino will apply certain limits to the person account or they could close the account. Another important one is giving reviews on term that can invalidate players winnings which will help players to be informed, although I know that when one doesn't use the casino more frequently, they can not detect some thing but a good review should cover those areas too.

Checked your real money tests and it was bizarre seeing you give a proven scam site like BC.Game 8/10 when you had to complete advanced KYC verification regardless of how long it took while you gave a site like Stake 6.5/10 for mandatory KYC.

Check their ANN threads within this forum properly and you will understand that Stake is one of the most reputed crypto gambling sites while BC.Game is on the opposite spectrum.

A single hands on experience of a casino can be helpful for basic technical features, like gameplay but most of the casino is experienced subjectively. One player could say the support replies quickly while another gets ignored for days, withdrawal can go smoothly for one user but for a different user withdrawing a higher amount it gets stuck for days or weeks. If I want a review of a casino I want to know what the experience is for the majority, not an isolated players.

one thing id like to see is a clearer breakdown of how the final score is calculated for example how much weight goes to withdrawals, kyc, support, bonus terms etc. otherwise you can end up with something like the BC.Game vs Stake example above where the final scores look a bit strange even if the individual test itself was done properly  would be much more useful imo if the test result and the overall reputation of the casino were shown as two separate things

Yes, KYC is definitely something we want to cover in more detail.

We already have a verification section in our reviews, but right now it’s still quite basic. KYC can happen at very different stages depending on the account, withdrawal amount, activity, risk checks, bonus abuse concerns, AML checks, etc.

We’re thinking about making a separate page about casino verification where we can show different cases and add real examples from our own tests.

And I agree that what a casino says in its rules and what actually happens in a specific case can sometimes be two different things. That’s one of the useful things these tests can show.

Yes, I see your point. The BC.Game vs Stake comparison shows pretty well that our scoring needs more explanation.

Stake is a brand we know well and consider very reliable overall. The 6.5 score was about what happened during that specific test, especially the bonus conditions and player journey, not Stake’s overall reputation.

The same applies to BC.Game. The 8/10 reflects that particular test, not a statement that BC.Game has a better reputation than Stake.

We clearly need to separate the real-money test score from the casino’s broader reputation, and we’re going to work on that.

I agree. One test can’t represent every player’s experience.

Support can answer one player in two minutes and another much later, and the same goes for withdrawals or KYC. That’s why we describe these as first-person tests rather than trying to present them as the experience everyone will have.

The next step for us is to combine the actual test with broader, verifiable information about the casino, so readers can see both sides.

Yes, this is probably one of the main things we need to improve.

Right now the test contains a lot of detail, but the final number doesn’t make it clear enough how much weight withdrawals, KYC, bonuses, support and the other categories receive.

We want to make the 1–10 scoring much more transparent and, as you suggested, separate the result of our real-money test from the casino’s overall reputation.

That would also avoid situations where two final scores look strange when compared without the full context.

Do you check with just one account or do you check with multiple accounts? Because some casinos normally don't perform well but if they perform well for some time suddenly and you test during that time then you will say the casino is good but since it performs badly regularly other users reviews will be totally different from your review.

Op you continuously posting in your own thread while no one is posting which is actually violating the forum rules. I hope you will edit today's first post and put later posts there while deleting them.

Quite right, and that means your reviews and your website doesn't really help players who are looking for a website to gamble in. It is better that they do their research through review websites where they can get reviews from multiple players and their different experiences, rather than just your own experience. It is easier to form an opinion of a site when you get to read multiple reviews, both positive and negative.

Yes, I see your point. The BC.Game vs Stake comparison shows pretty well that our scoring needs more explanation.

Stake is actually one of the brands we know well and consider very reliable overall. The lower score in that particular test was not meant to say that Stake has a worse reputation than BC.Game. It was based on what happened during that specific test, especially the bonus conditions and the overall player journey.

The same applies to BC.Game. That score reflects what happened in our test, not the general reputation of the casino.

We will keep doing more real-money tests and, once we have more data, we will probably adjust how much weight each category gets.

If we run into unjustified issues with a bonus, wagering, withdrawal, KYC or anything else, we will show it and score it accordingly.

As for complaints and scam accusations, we try to look at individual cases rather than just the number of negative posts. With large casinos, complaints can come from very different situations: real issues, misunderstood rules, bonus abuse, account restrictions, disputes over terms, and sometimes claims that are difficult to verify. So for us, the context and evidence matter a lot.

So you are discrediting every scam accusation thread on this forum where a lot is already discussed than I have no reasons to believe your particular experiences. You should always believe your personal experience but you can not discredit others experiences as well, specially when we have a lot of information in public discourse.
For me, if a site is a proven scam here in the forum and some newly mushroomed up rating website is listing it as their first choice with highest rating, I will not trust the new website.
And what is this your experience/my experience thing? Even if there are few proven cases the casino is a scam.

At the moment, each real-money test is based on one account, so yes, it reflects one particular player experience rather than the experience of all users.

That’s also why we try to make this clear in the test itself. We don’t want one successful or unsuccessful test to be treated as proof that every player will have the same result.

Over time, as we run more tests and collect more data, we want to combine these first-person results with broader information about the casino.

And thanks for pointing out the posting rule. I’ve merged the replies into one post and removed the consecutive ones.

It is easier to form an opinion of a site when you get to read multiple reviews, both positive and negative.

That’s fair, and we don’t see a single real-money test as a replacement for broader research either.

Our main casino reviews are not based only on one player experience. Like most casino review sites, we go through the casino itself, its terms, bonuses, payment information, licensing and other publicly available information, and cross-check details against other sources where necessary.

The real-money test is an additional layer. Not every review site actually deposits, claims a bonus, contacts support and tries to withdraw with real funds, so we think showing what happened during an actual test can still be useful, as long as it is clearly presented as one particular experience rather than something that will happen to every player.

We also plan to add user comments/reviews in the future. The difficult part there is verification, because user reviews can be manipulated in both directions. Casinos can receive fake positive reviews, but they can also be targeted with fake negative ones. So if we add this, we want to find a way to make that feedback useful without treating every anonymous comment as verified fact.

I think my previous wording may have given the wrong impression. We’re not trying to discredit scam accusations or other players’ experiences.

What I meant is that we prefer to look at the details and evidence behind each case rather than treat every complaint in exactly the same way. But if there are well-documented and unresolved cases against a casino, that absolutely should be reflected in its reputation and overall assessment.

And I agree that our own real-money test should not override that. A successful test only tells us what happened with that particular account at that particular time.

This discussion actually highlights something we need to improve: the real-money test score and the broader reputation of the casino should be clearly separated. That way a casino can perform well in our test, while readers can still clearly see serious issues reported and documented elsewhere.

Many crypto casinos claim they have instant withdrawals, but when you try them out, you see it's not the case. What they consider "instant" takes a while, Even if it's just 10-15 mins but requires a manual approval by one of their staff member, it's not instant. I would be interested in knowing which casinos really are near-instant and process withdrawals in, lets say, 1-2 minutes after you request them?

Similarly, have you found any casino (besides Sportsbet.io) that supports 0-confirmation bitcoin deposits?

Do you have plans for taking a closer look at EarnBet?

Yes, I see your point. The BC.Game vs Stake comparison shows pretty well that our scoring needs more explanation.

Stake is a brand we know well and consider very reliable overall. The 6.5 score was about what happened during that specific test, especially the bonus conditions and player journey, not Stake’s overall reputation.

The same applies to BC.Game. The 8/10 reflects that particular test, not a statement that BC.Game has a better reputation than Stake.

We clearly need to separate the real-money test score from the casino’s broader reputation, and we’re going to work on that.
Thing is your team needs to conduct multiple real money tests over a certain period of time with varying amounts ranging from small to moderate to big ones in order to accumulate an optimal sample size which helps differentiate these casinos in a better manner.

Also, in that particular real money test, you still needed to complete KYC at BC.Game just like at Stake which is why the big rating difference was illogical.

Good that you are taking it in the right spirit.
I have a few questions, since as of now you are basing your rating solely on your real money testers for the bc.game (which has highest rating of 9.5 on your platform) as for any other casino.

I tried to check how many real money tests you have done and what actually happened as per your records. I have found two tests both done by the same person.

1.) it was for a $5 no deposit bonus test upon full KYC verification and that test never lead to cash out because of 60X wagering requirements and there was no score given.
Here is the link of that test on your platform: https://coingambling.info/tests/bc-game-5-usdt-no-deposit-bonus-test/

2.) Second was a test of $40 deposit and that also not reached cash out stage : https://coingambling.info/tests/bc-game-casino-test/
But here you marked their cashout process as 6/10 with the overall score of  8/10. How can you give a withdrawal score without requesting a withdrawal?

Not only that the over all score based on both reviews can be 9.0 at max (assuming if you gave 10/10 for that no deposit $5 bonus and forgot to mention it  Cheesy). But your rating is reflecting as 9.5. How is that possible?

KYC can happen at very different stages depending on the account, withdrawal amount, activity, risk checks, bonus abuse concerns, AML checks, etc.
All what you have said and in the website is good because those are the pressing issues of any casino in the industry. And the above quote is where the problem lies in most cases, therefore I will want you to do in-depth testing on that area. If the casino will verify KYC they should do it at the beginning to avoid drama when withdrawing. I don't like the clause "at any level". And if there is KYC requirement they should not come here and tell us that they are No KYC casino.

Finally, after testing the casino, and when you want to rate the casino, I think it is will be good you ask others about the casino before giving the final output or rating it. So you won't do mistake by rating a scam casino high because your one or twice times testing might not give your the best results.

That’s exactly the kind of thing we want these tests to show.

We already record the actual time it takes for a withdrawal to reach the wallet rather than relying on the casino calling it “instant”. I agree that if a withdrawal still needs manual approval and takes 10–15 minutes, it makes sense to distinguish that from a genuinely near-instant withdrawal.

We haven’t specifically tracked 0-confirmation Bitcoin deposits as a separate test point yet, but that’s a good one to add to the testing process.

As for EarnBet, we haven’t tested it yet, but we can definitely add it to the shortlist for future real-money tests.

Nice idea for testing casino.

Withdrawal and deposit speed is always my preferred testing especially on new casino that I want to explore. I believe it’s worth mentioning what’s the approximate funds you deposit and total wager in the end so that we can see how casino behaves on accounts depending on bankroll size. Some casino let small bankroll players easily off the hook while medium to high roller tier have difficulty on withdrawal.

I’m looking forward to a multiple withdrawal and deposit test on a casino to check if they will require KYC immediately, delay your withdrawal and other possible scenario which a gambler might encounter when using it.

Good point about bankroll size.

We already show the deposit and withdrawal amounts in the tests, but adding the total amount wagered would give much more context. A casino may behave differently with a small account compared with someone depositing, wagering and withdrawing significantly larger amounts.

Doing several deposit and withdrawal cycles would also be useful, especially for seeing whether KYC appears later, withdrawals start taking longer, or anything else changes after more activity.

We probably won’t be able to do this for every casino straight away, but follow-up tests on selected brands and different bankroll sizes are definitely something we want to explore.

I agree that multiple tests over time and with different amounts would give a much stronger picture than a single test.

For now, each test represents one particular player journey, so the sample size is obviously limited. As we build more tests, we also want to revisit some casinos rather than treating one result as final.

On BC.Game vs Stake, KYC was only one of the categories that contributed to the test score, so the difference wasn’t based on KYC alone. But I agree that the current scoring doesn’t make the reasons behind the difference clear enough.

That’s something we need to improve by showing the score for each category more clearly and explaining how the final test score is calculated.

You’re right to question this, and I think there are two different ratings being mixed together here.

The 9.5 shown for BC.Game is the overall casino review rating. It isn’t calculated as an average of the real-money tests. The 8/10 is the score from that particular hands-on test, while the main casino rating is based on the broader review and other criteria.

The $5 no-deposit bonus article was also a different type of test. It wasn’t created for scoring the casino. We wanted to check the full process of actually claiming the bonus and show players the steps involved.

A lot of affiliate/review sites, including us in the past, publish information about no-deposit bonuses based on the casino’s terms without actually checking whether the offer can still be claimed. That can lead to negative feedback from players when the bonus turns out to be unavailable or works differently in practice.

So that article was partly a test for us as well: we wanted to see whether a step-by-step real-money check of a no-deposit bonus would actually be useful for players interested in that offer.

We also plan to run several more BC.Game tests covering different situations and deposit amounts. That should give us more data and allow us to reassess the test score more fairly instead of relying too much on one particular session.

That said, the fact that the 9.5 review rating and the 8/10 test score can be confused so easily shows that we need to separate and label them much more clearly.

And you’re also right about the withdrawal point. If the test didn’t reach a completed withdrawal, it shouldn’t look as if we actually tested and scored the withdrawal experience. That part needs to be reviewed and presented as not tested rather than as a completed withdrawal result.

That’s a good point, especially about how “No KYC” is presented.

We want to look more closely at exactly when verification appears during the player journey. If a casino markets itself as No KYC but can still request full verification later, especially at withdrawal, that should be explained very clearly rather than being hidden somewhere in the terms.

At the same time, some casinos use risk-based verification, so KYC may not happen to every player at the same stage. That’s one of the reasons why we think it’s useful to document exactly what happened during each test rather than simply label a casino as KYC or No KYC.

And I agree with your second point as well. A real-money test should show what happened in that particular case, while the broader casino assessment should also take into account documented player feedback, reputation and unresolved issues from other sources.

This is one of the things we want to improve: keeping the hands-on test score clearly separate from the overall casino rating, so one or two successful tests don’t automatically outweigh the wider picture.

Such an addition would make your website more valuable to potential players. As regards manipulation, that's normal, directories are not meant to be a 100% endorsement for any website. It is just where potential customers can read different reviews and compare it with the information they already have about the platform, and then come to a decision.

There would obviously be fake reviews either way, as well as reviews people will consider exaggerrated and doesn't reflect the experience most players get when they use the site, like your rating for BC.Game. The point is the different opinions. And the bigger the review site gets, the easier it is to filter which side is being manipulated.

Would you mind telling us what were the other criteria apart from real money tests, which you presented as your USP here.

And you’re also right about the withdrawal point. If the test didn’t reach a completed withdrawal, it shouldn’t look as if we actually tested and scored the withdrawal experience. That part needs to be reviewed and presented as not tested rather than as a completed withdrawal result.
It is good that you accepted this mistake. So how would you address this apart from acknowledging the obvious wrong (which you are doing quite frequently)?

And if possible please make the methodology public in advance for this (from my previous feedback).

The point is the different opinions. And the bigger the review site gets, the easier it is to filter which side is being manipulated.

I agree. Different opinions are useful even if not every user review can be independently verified.

The goal wouldn’t be to treat every comment as a fact or an endorsement, but to give players another source of information alongside our own reviews and testing.

As the number of reviews grows, patterns should also become easier to spot. We still need to think through moderation and how to handle obvious manipulation, but user reviews/comments are definitely something we want to add.

Would you mind telling us what were the other criteria apart from real money tests, which you presented as your USP here.

It is good that you accepted this mistake. So now would you address this apart from acknowledging the obvious wrong (which you are doing quite frequently)?

And if possible please make the methodology public in advance for this (from my previous feedback).

Sure. The real-money tests are a newer part of the project and one of the things we want to develop further, but they are not the only basis for the overall casino rating.

Originally, we rated casinos using a broader set of criteria. You can see the general approach here:
https://coingambling.info/how-we-rate/

This includes things such as the casino’s operating history, how long the brand has been active, transparency around the operator, licensing, payments, bonuses, support, public reputation and feedback from other sources.

We have also looked at the brand’s wider public presence, including long-term partnerships or sponsorships. Of course, having sponsorships by itself is not proof that a casino is reliable, but it can be one of the additional pieces of information considered when looking at the broader history and presence of a brand.

Right now we are in the process of recalibrating the ratings for the individual categories. We want to use more data and, where possible, include broader community feedback and reputation instead of relying too heavily on our own testing.

As for the withdrawal scoring issue, acknowledging it is only the first step. We need to review the existing tests and make sure that categories which were not actually completed are shown as N/A or not tested, rather than looking like they were fully tested.

We also want to make the scoring methodology for the real-money tests public. Before publishing the final version, though, we want to collect enough tests and data to make sure the criteria and weighting actually make sense.

Once that methodology is finalized, we plan to recalculate the scores of the earlier tests using the same system, so old and new tests can be compared on the same basis.

Checked your real money tests and it was bizarre seeing you give a proven scam site like BC.Game 8/10 when you had to complete advanced KYC verification regardless of how long it took while you gave a site like Stake 6.5/10 for mandatory KYC.

OP tested using small withdrawal amounts, which rarely run into issues. Lol.
I think it would be better if the OP didn't display a score on the site at all, or test them with different funding levels and then draw a conclusion instead. It’s also quite surprising that other people's reviews carry a 5% weight.
