I like the concept, real first-person tests are definitely more useful than just repeating what the casino says about itself. It is not bad if we can get an idea of how a particular gambling casino should be trusted or reliable with their services, however, it must also be noted that not all the reviews that were made can be genuine or reliable, as seeing online randomly and across different platforms. I suggest that you don't vouch for any casino when it comes to what they can do or not, except that you only share your suggestion or view on them and leave it to every user to decide on the risk they are willing to take from having a deal with any casino.

Nice OP, other reviews websites are focusing more on the games and yours is with those features about deposits and withdrawals although it's also part of the reviews of the others and you have the bonuses too.

I know that this service has profit as well but if some casinos will pay you for advertisement, I hope that it will still be genuine review that you're going to give them.

Good question, even with the best intentions at the start, what happens when an advertiser asks to tweak a review or move their casino up the list? Would be interesting to hear how you plan to handle that, for example by keeping ads and ratings completely separate.

There are handful review sites also in the forum from reputable people, and I think that they are handling it well when it's come to revenue.

But let's just hope that they won't be affected by the potential profit or advertisement they'll receive from those truly bad casinos and won't tweak the genuine review they'll give to them.

Because in the end, they can give some tips as there's always room for improvement.

Check their ANN threads within this forum properly and you will understand that Stake is one of the most reputed crypto gambling sites while BC.Game is on the opposite spectrum.

OP should put a strong disclaimer on this test on their platform; it will appear that you are recommending that BC.Game is far better to play on Stake, when, in fact, when it comes to reputation, Stake is doing better than BC.Game, that will send the wrong signal to the gambling community.

Reviews on a norm are individual gamblers experiences with a casino they must have used or tested but most certainly is that every gambler can't have same experience as they repeatedly use any casino.  Even for KYC there are gamblers that had it very difficult getting along with the casino while another gambler may have had it meaninglessly due to the kind of simple document that were asked for. Now what do we think the two different gamblers would say about their different experiences. Jeeezz! It's gonna sound contradictory giving their reviews.

Checked your real money tests and it was bizarre seeing you give a proven scam site like BC.Game 8/10 when you had to complete advanced KYC verification regardless of how long it took while you gave a site like Stake 6.5/10 for mandatory KYC.

OP tested using small withdrawal amounts, which rarely run into issues. Lol.
I think it would be better if the OP didn't display a score on the site at all, or test them with different funding levels and then draw a conclusion instead. It’s also quite surprising that other people's reviews carry a 5% weight.

That’s a fair criticism.

Most of the tests we’ve published so far have been done with relatively small amounts, so they obviously can’t tell us how the same casino would behave with medium or large deposits and withdrawals.

This is something we want to expand. We plan to run more tests on selected casinos with different funding levels and over a longer period, rather than treating one small test as enough to draw a broad conclusion.

The 5% weighting for external/player feedback is also part of the rating model we’re currently reviewing. As we recalibrate the individual categories, we want to use more data and, where possible, give broader community feedback, documented complaints and reputation a more appropriate place in the overall assessment.

I like the concept, real first-person tests are definitely more useful than just repeating what the casino says about itself. Right now it feels more like a blog with personal experiences than a rating platform where you can compare casinos and draw conclusions. Will be interesting to see how the project develops.

That’s actually a fair description of where the project is right now.

The first-person tests are still a relatively new part of the site, and at the moment they are closer to documented player journeys than a large enough dataset for comparing casinos properly.

The direction we want to move in is exactly that: more tests, clearer scoring criteria, repeat tests where possible, and a better separation between one particular test result and the broader casino rating.

Hopefully, as we collect more data, the tests will become much more useful for direct comparison rather than just being a collection of individual experiences.

I agree with that.

We don’t want a single review or test to be taken as a guarantee of how a casino will behave with every player. Even our own real-money tests only show what happened with that account at that particular time.

The goal is to document what we can verify, explain the limitations clearly, and give readers enough information to make their own decision rather than simply telling them that a casino is “safe” or that everyone will have the same experience.

Yes, that separation is very important.

The purpose of the real-money test is to report what actually happened during the test, whether the result is good or bad. A commercial relationship with a casino shouldn’t change what we report about deposits, withdrawals, KYC, bonuses or support.

As the project develops, we also want to make the distinction between advertising/commercial placements and editorial or test results as clear as possible, so readers can understand what they are looking at.

I agree, and this discussion has made that especially clear.

The 8/10 BC.Game test score and the 6.5/10 Stake test score describe those particular hands-on tests. They shouldn’t be interpreted as saying that BC.Game has a better overall reputation than Stake.

We need to make that distinction much more visible on the test pages. A clear disclaimer is one option, but we also want to separate the hands-on test score from the broader casino rating more clearly in the layout itself.

Otherwise, the numbers can easily send the wrong message when they are viewed without the full context.

👉Since several of you have raised good points about the scoring system, I’d also be interested in hearing how you would approach it.

If you were building the rating system yourselves, how would you weight categories such as withdrawals, KYC, bonuses, support, reputation/community feedback and the other parts of the casino experience?

And based on what you’ve seen on Bitcointalk over the years, which casino brands would you say have maintained the strongest and most consistent reputation here?

We’re currently reviewing both the scoring model and the brands we want to test next, so your input would be really useful for us.

A single hands on experience of a casino can be helpful for basic technical features, like gameplay but most of the casino is experienced subjectively. One player could say the support replies quickly while another gets ignored for days, withdrawal can go smoothly for one user but for a different user withdrawing a higher amount it gets stuck for days or weeks. If I want a review of a casino I want to know what the experience is for the majority, not an isolated players.
This same thing I had in mind of saying because most time what I understand from casino is that, cases are being handled based on their urgency. For instance; they could have a case of $20k handle so easily for a regular gambler than a case of $5 inquiries.
I am not directly saying that casinos are being biased towards gamblers but most times they prioritise regular gamblers than irregular players over the time. For sure, the experience of Mr. Z would never be the same as Mr. K.
Therefore, I may likely accept a collective review of the community than any site out there.

If I would build a rating system, I would primarily prioritize community feedback/reputation within this forum since it's almost always quite reliable/trustworthy followed by customer support, deposit plus withdrawal services, KYC and bonuses.

Sites like Stake, Roobet, Crypto.Games, Shuffle etc have been consistently epic over time within this forum though this is a highly subjective topic.

Genuine and honest review is what the community needs. While you're not going to sacrifice the potential advertising profit if ever some casinos approaches you to review them.

They will also understand where you're coming from.

First response here covers what I wanted: excessively in profit withdrawals. That's the true test of whether a casino does shenanigans. For me, acceptable to limit accounts. That's just profit based thinking and all good. It's when you're withdrawing a big win, or a big percentage of total deposits, that the usual rubbish happens. Delays. KYC. Accusations.

Do that test, and then test it again. And again. I'd say ratings needs to be based on successions of testing.

Good question, even with the best intentions at the start, what happens when an advertiser asks to tweak a review or move their casino up the list? Would be interesting to hear how you plan to handle that, for example by keeping ads and ratings completely separate.
That wasn't a standard advertiser request (simply renting ad space); it was a clear shill attempt designed to produce biased reviews.

-snip-

The 5% weighting for external/player feedback is also part of the rating model we’re currently reviewing. As we recalibrate the individual categories, we want to use more data and, where possible, give broader community feedback, documented complaints and reputation a more appropriate place in the overall assessment.

My assumption was this: when your username (used for testing) can easily be linked to your review site, the casino provides top-tier service to make it appear as though everything is running smoothly because they know you hold 95% of the weight in the rating.

If you were building the rating system yourselves, how would you weight categories such as withdrawals, KYC, bonuses, support, reputation/community feedback and the other parts of the casino experience?
My answer to this is still similar to what i've already said to you. While there cannot be a perfect scoring/rating system, you cannot get anywhere near accurate based on a one-off review test or even a couple of it. I would only rate a casino based on multiple experiences from players over a long period of time, amongst these players would be big winners and small ones, that's how i would get a strong idea of how a casino treats their players and score it accordingly.
And based on what you’ve seen on Bitcointalk over the years, which casino brands would you say have maintained the strongest and most consistent reputation here?
You can look around the community and find them yourself. Roobet has been here for a very long time. Whale, Stake, Rollbit and many others, there is no shortage of them here.

Checked some of the casinos you have tested and I saw only a few of them are given good score for the Bonus so I am wondering what is your main criteria to give the score related to the bonus?
Do you give good score for the bonus part mostly for those casino that offer you something like no deposit bonus, welcome bonus or free spins?
Frankly speaking, I'm surprised to see you give Rainbet 5/10 and Stake 4/10 but you give BC.game 7/10 Betplay 7/10 Vavada 8/10 for the bonus part.
Are you excluding VIP rewards offered by the casinos as a reference for you to give a rating/score for this category?

Nice OP, other reviews websites are focusing more on the games and yours is with those features about deposits and withdrawals although it's also part of the reviews of the others and you have the bonuses too.

I know that this service has profit as well but if some casinos will pay you for advertisement, I hope that it will still be genuine review that you're going to give them.

I hope you lean on that and despite that the advertising and income that your review will have, your integrity won't change with that.

Genuine and honest review is what the community needs. While you're not going to sacrifice the potential advertising profit if ever some casinos approaches you to review them.

They will also understand where you're coming from.

When testing casinos with real money as in this case, I think it should be grouped into the top tier brands that use crypto currency, the platforms that focus more on privacy and the platforms that offer high bonus and are hybrid with crypto currencies and fiat inclusive for betting.
With this in mind, a clearer result will be gotten for better reviews and I think the community would love to see their favorite platform on the test board to understand better with this grouping technique.

Is there anything important that casino reviews usually miss? Huh
Yes, there are quite some things they don't really add but just repeating all of the ones that you have also mentioned here but one thing that I consider important for players that most reviews doesn't cover is that they don't tell whether the casino usually enhances their KYC after a player has been excessively profitable, an example of what I mean is this thread.  If one is excessively profitable, some casino will apply certain limits to the person account or they could close the account. Another important one is giving reviews on term that can invalidate players winnings which will help players to be informed, although I know that when one doesn't use the casino more frequently, they can not detect some thing but a good review should cover those areas too.
How about matching in categories the different respective aspects  of each casinos showing their areas of weaknesses and strengths using bonus wagering, kyc, withdrawal speed, deposit, customer care service response and all other categories. When players makes contrast of it all they can quickly without stress knowing which casino really meets their requirements.

We’d be interested to hear what you guys would like to see in these tests Roll Eyes

Is there anything important that casino reviews usually miss? Huh

Or maybe there’s a specific casino you’d like us to test? Wink

👉Real-Money Casino Tests

The most important thing for me is the  withdrawal process which you’ve already mentioned and if it’s been tested and confirmed that I don’t have to struggle with the process before I can get to make  withdrawals or even deposit then other tests comes secondary for me. I will also like to emphasize on the trust and security but that will be confirmed and gained gradually as time goes on.

Thanks, that’s useful and pretty close to the direction we’re discussing internally.

Another option we’re considering is not forcing everything into one rating at all. For example, we could have our own rating based on defined criteria and testing, while keeping a separate community/user rating alongside it.

Those two numbers wouldn’t necessarily match, and that could actually be useful. A casino might perform well in our structured test but have weaker community feedback, or the opposite.

We’re also interested in eventually involving trusted community members in some of the testing itself, especially for things that can be independently verified. That could give us more than just one tester’s experience and help us build a better sample over time.

And thanks for the brand suggestions. Stake, Roobet and Shuffle are already very relevant names for the kind of repeat testing we want to do.

This is exactly the kind of follow-up test we want to add.

So far, many of our tests have involved relatively small deposits and withdrawals, which obviously doesn’t tell us how the casino behaves when a player is significantly in profit or requests a much larger percentage of their total deposits back.

Testing that scenario once would already be useful, but I agree that repeating it is what would make the result much stronger.

We’re looking at ways to build follow-up tests around different bankroll sizes and withdrawal scenarios rather than treating the first successful cashout as the final result.

That’s actually a good point.

If simply using a recognizable review-site username gets you better treatment, maybe the secret to instant withdrawals is naming every test account after one of the biggest affiliate sites 😄

Jokes aside, this is something worth considering in the methodology. A test is obviously more useful if the casino doesn’t know it is being tested.

For future tests we can look at using accounts that can’t easily be connected to our site and compare the results over time. Repeating the same type of test with different accounts would also help us see whether a particularly smooth experience was normal or an exception.

I think that’s one of the clearest takeaways from this thread so far.

A single test is useful for documenting one real player journey, but it becomes much more meaningful once we can compare it with repeated tests, different bankroll sizes and experiences from other players over time.

That’s also why we’re considering separating our own structured/test rating from a broader community rating rather than trying to compress everything into one number.

And thanks for the brand examples. We’ll look more closely at the long-term forum history of those brands when deciding which casinos to revisit or add to the test list.

Good question. The bonus score in the real-money tests isn’t based simply on whether a casino offers a welcome bonus, free spins or a no-deposit bonus.

One of the main things we look at is the wagering requirement and how it actually applies. For example, we distinguish between wagering that applies only to the bonus amount and wagering that applies to both the deposit and the bonus.

We also look at the structure of the offer itself: the matching percentage, whether the full bonus is credited immediately or unlocked gradually through wagering/activity, and any other restrictions that affect how realistic it is for a player to actually use or withdraw the bonus.

We also separate bonus wagering requirements from general AML turnover requirements, as those are not the same thing.

VIP rewards are currently not included in the bonus score of the individual real-money test. We look at VIP/loyalty programs separately as part of the broader casino review and overall brand assessment.

That said, the scoring system you’re looking at is something we’re significantly reworking now. Feedback from this thread has already highlighted several areas where the criteria need to be clearer and more consistent.

Once we have enough tests and data, we plan to finalize the methodology and then recalculate the older test scores using the same criteria, including the bonus category.
