I made mistake few years back was investing into a project because people on Telegram were saying saaly keh rahy thy that its going to 10x. But within few months gaye kaam sy. At the time it felt like it was the end of the world. Ab to theak sy yaad bhi nahi kon saa project tha.

Now whenever I want to invest into a new coin/project I force myself to wait at least 2 weeks. In the meantime I try to dig more about fundamentals. Inevitably I still make some dumb investing decisions but at least not the same mistakes. Bitcoin ko top priority rakhta hun. But risk leta rehta hun.

People lost trust in new projects because most of the time it ends up being a scam or just reaches zero when the hype ends, so the investors have a short time frame to cash out for profits which is again taken over by the bots and not much is left to the retailers. That is why instead of looking for the new gem projects, focusing on accumulating as much as BTC via DCA or lump sum whenever you can will give decent returns in the long run.

That’s true, trust is a big deal. I know a lot of newer projects are built for a pump and dump, and by the time the general public knows what they are the insiders have likely already sold. I do still put a small portion of my portfolio into some of these newer coins, but only after doing due diligence and not with money I can’t afford to lose.

I keep most of my portfolio in bitcoin via dollar cost averaging. This has given me much more peace of mind over the years than trying to buy the next 10x coin.

Was it Telegram's own project known as TON? I remember I used to write articles about it because of the hype created by Telegram.

Good decision! Never go for FOMO. Let the market react first, then think about investing your money. I still believe only the top 10 coins on CMC have the potential to give more than 10x returns if a person has patience and diamond hands.

No, it wasnt TON. That one at least had some real development behind it. The one I got into was pure hype with almost nothing solid. Just another Telegram group pushing it hard.

You are right about waiting for market to react first. Most of the time early rush is where biggest losses happen. I still keep small part for higher risk stuff, but main focus stays on Bitcoin and few established names. Patience has worked better than chasing every new thing.

That's the very first reason why you should never trust anyone. Unka kaam he aapko influence karna but that might be for their own gain. There are a number of pump/schemes going out there which amuses me.

Telegram kbhi trusted signals nhi dega due to the number of scams and spams present there. Telegram pr kbhi bharosa mat rakhna vapis that's all I can say.

Don't limit yourself to 2 weeks. You can spend a few months in speculating the opportunity before you can find the entry level. Don't feel like you are wasting time in speculating those charts. Speculation can save you from unnecessary loss.

That's the way to go bro. Keeping taking risks but take calculated risks and not some dumb shit that will drain your savings.
Learning from mistakes is the best way to learn something and get better at it and I have done the same.
Even I have made mistakes in the past, ending up losing most of my money but I have tried not to repeat the same mistakes and so I'm doing decent with my crypto portfolio.
These days though, I haven't really put my money into something new, been a few years now, just holding.
I couldn't find anything that grabbed my attention.

I am sure there still would be a number of shady projects out there looking to catch attention of new users. These shady projects mostly target those willing to earn fast money because they can showcase their high ROIs or extremely profitable scenario just to fool you into investing. One user can create n number of telegram accounts so it is not that difficult for them to create the hype. It is our responsibility to study the hype and understand if the project genuinely has any future.

The best advice I can think about would be to try and avoid newly launched projects. Those will always come with its own risk. You can instead prefer investing in reputable coins like bitcoin. Bitcoin should be your first choice of investment even the profit outcomes are not what you expected.

Shady projects are everywhere, and they are not limited to crypto. I have seen more shady projects with INR than with crypto. It is like gawars from north and south of India get involved in it. Then they cry! I cannot verify it, but most people getting scammed are from the peaceful community who are not peaceful.

Yes, you are right but what about those projects that are forwarded by the home? I mean mararsa, temple & church. I can list them if you want. It is faith and it was greed that caused so many scams.

Old tricks are still working. New Telegram channels are created, showing fake earnings, and luring in inexperienced people looking to make money fast. Good filter is not getting involved with any new projects. Most of losses occur at the height of the hype period where there isnt real track record yet. In the case of Bitcoin, this shouldnt be as big an issue.

Bhai every IM or so called social media channel has its own agenda. If you fall for them, you lose everything; if you don't, you win. This is how the world we live in works now. Ignoring is the best policy. I generally stay away from everything while watching everything that the AI feeds me. It gives me a good idea about what is being hyped and what is reality.

For ex: Tiger Shroff shooting incident. It looks more like a PR stunt to get him back into the movie business.

Sahi baat hai almost har channel kisi na kisi cheez ko push kar raha hota hai. Jab aap sab ko by default noise maan ke treat karte ho tab trouble se bachte rehna asaan ho jata hai. Watching the hype from a distance without getting involved is a solid approach. Most of the time the real picture only becomes clear after the noise dies down.
