It is now been one year since BTC peaked (for now) in October 2025 near $126k. BTC is still ~32% below its peak. However, this has been notably different drawdown phase in BTC history, as the maximum drawdown (MoD) has been only ~53%, on a far less violent path (previous MoDs have been 70-80%+). It is unclear if the ensuing leg higher will be more sustainable or just slower given lower volatility and higher institutional ownership. Has BTC become a more structurally sound asset?

I apologize for writing so confusingly. I simply wanted to emphasize that Bitcoin achieved price recognition exactly one year ago. There are many types of Bitcoin recognition, and the main one is adoption. Price is just an accompanying factor. And this price recognition, the ATH, happened exactly one year ago...

Exactly bitcoin volatility has drastically reduced because if we compare the last cycle when bitcoin all time high was actually $69,000 around November 2021, one year after that date the price dropped for almost 75% to around $17,000 one year apart. Compare that to the current volatility which the price is just 32% off the all time high as at today. Once can see that it’s more than twice the volatility reduction.

Now the question is with this reduced volatility will we reach the current all time Price faster than the previous cycles where the market spends more than 25 months before it creates another ATH. For me I do think we would see another all time before the 25 months if the market continues with this volatility

Dont worry, more ATHs are going to come no matter what happens. The people who are always waiting for ATH will never get it because they are day traders and not long term traders. The people who are not waiting for ATH will see it happen once fine morning/night because they are long term traders.

The more you stay in the second group the more chances you have at being the safer and healthy trader.

What we should focus on, is the buying of BTC at the lower price, because prices is lingering at certain levels and then dropping below that. Selling will happen when the price rises again to higher

I have tried to find meaning to what you posted, but it is hard for me to see any meaning to it. I do not understand. All time high is what that will definitely happen, but both short term and long term traders will see it. Investors will also see it.

Probably what you mean is that short term traders would have lost money and will have no much money or no money invested in bitcoin when the all time high will come?

I think your are referring to investors as long term traders which is not right. I am neither a short term or long term trader.

Don’t want to sound too optimistic but historically speaking Bitcoin still have room for growth. Meaning there are still ATHs waiting to be reached . Though that doesn’t change the fact that there’s no guarantee when come to you making profit in a long run in Bitcoin.

Because anything can happen and the only thing that doesn’t change is “change” . That’s the risk that comes with it just like any investment. So don’t get carried away, invest with money you are comfortable to risk . Is advisable to hold for long term but still the choice is still yours for you to make . Bitcoin is given some bullish signs already , just have to do some slight correction before it continues to push up further.

Though that doesn’t change the fact that there’s no guarantee when come to you making profit in a long run in Bitcoin.

Frankly speaking, Bitcoin seems to me to be the only asset among all that can be practically guaranteed to increase profits, because it always updates its maximum of price.

This is not true, but ETF inflow and outflow can contribute to bitcoin price, it is just one of the reasons but not absolutely correctly the reason. There was a news that I read recently that bitcoin inflow was somehow stagnant, but the price of bitcoin increase or something like that, but I can not really remember. In short what I know is that bitcoin ETF inflow and outflow does not necessarily mean it will have direct effect on price of bitcoin.

The market is unpredictable always and even if we prepare ourselves for any market movement either the bullish sentiment or the bearish sentiment that doesn’t mean the market won’t still do what ever it wants. But staying prepare for any market movements is a good thing because at least any of the movements that comes won’t surprise us at all.

Making research about the market movement before investment is a strategy for short term holders and not for the long term holders. The long term holders doesn’t actually needs to check the price of the market before buying especially with their DCA strategy only the short term needs to do that.

So much has happened between the last ATH and now that we see an almost steadier price standard with institutional adoption and more holders awaiting the next ATH. Every one or investor who is holding and accumulating more BTC right now is doing so with alot of patience due to the current position we are seeing as compared to previous drawdowns.

The price of Bitcoin will increase further in the future, because the price of Bitcoin has been increasing according to the cycle. From the past to the present, the price of Bitcoin has increased according to the cycle and this four-year cycle is still going on and will continue in the future. $150k is actually what people expected to be achieved in the previous bullrun season, but in fact it wasn't achieved. For the next bullrun season, it is also possible that Bitcoin failed to achieved the number although it looks quite close from the last ATH. So, there is no certainty for the ATH even if it is what people expect based on the psychological  point of view.

IMO. So far, the 4 years cycle looks quite similar although there is small small changes. Sure, the current cycle won't totally be the same as in the past cycles. We must be ready if we are heading more changes in the future.

Indeed, it is a must. Checking the current price is also a kind of making research. I assume we can't blindly buying at any price although we do DCA and hold for a long time. We must ensure to buy effectively and accumulate at the best prices.

What is this? Some kind of achievement to us that we are in the $85k range? Or the OP trying to say that we should be in another all time high after a year? Doesn't make sense as Bitcoin works in cycle, so I don't think we will get to it right now.

Yes, there are still a lot of achievements ahead, specially the catalyst for the next bull run which is the halving. But that is very far so I guess everyone should be patience and just continue what we are doing best, that is to continue to accumulate so that we will all be ready when the bull run starts.

We should not only focus on the last all-time high, but we can also consider the previous ones we've had over the years and see how the Bitcoin market has been consistent in increasing in value over time.

I like how you were able to trace back the high of bitcoin which is also the recent high and called ATH. I also like the way bitcoin price has also left that price and danced lower to what it is now. It is natural that the price of bitcoin fluctuates back and forth which means there is nothing strange that has happened with the price. It is a good thing that price gets higher and also drops, this gives investoors time to restocked and that is the essence of volatility and liquidity. If bitcoin doesn't move that way, it means it is controlled. So it is normal and not an aberration. Bitcoin has the history of overtaking the previous price after halving, so lets not be surprised when the time comes but now is likely for investment.

In the history of Bitcoin's development, there has not been a Bitcoin ATH phenomenon that occurred twice after the halving phase occurred, so there is no speculation that leads to development after yesterday's ATH occurred on Bitcoin.

In terms of speculation Bitcoin's ATH will be created again after the Bitcoin halving occurs, perhaps it is estimated to occur in 2028, well after several months of the halving occurring Bitcoin set a new ATH record, so it's no surprise when yesterday's ATH broke to the $126k level and currently it can't. beyond that price.
