Some of that is less volatile, which is interesting, but you should be wary of the fact that it's one cycle that Bitcoin got less volatile. While institutional demand and ETFs can shape market dynamics, other factors such as liquidity, leverage and macroeconomic conditions can cause sudden declines. What's far more interesting is whether Bitcoin can continue this trend for an extended period of time beyond investors' optimism. That would give us an idea of how much maturity the structure was in, rather than the time until another ATH.

But before that happens, Bitcoin price down now after successfully its price for some time. This correction considered as usual things happens for Bitcoin but if this continue and reach below $80,000, we might see another lower price and probably that triggers panic from some people.
Maybe this October could be a bloody moves for Bitcoin but we don't want that happens.
But for long term, still more chances for Bitcoin to rise even more than $126,000. Bitcoin still need time to go back to last ATH so waiting for more and accumulate is the best thing to do.

I believe the less volatile nature of this cycle is quite interesting but wouldn't necessarily take that as an indicator that Bitcoin is a more stable asset. Institutional participation and ETF flows may have an impact on the market but they can also turn around very rapidly. The key is to see if Bitcoin can sustain its demand in the midst of an extended bear market. History indicates that when there is a new ATH, there is a large correction that follows. I wonder whether this cycle will be the one that breaks the historical trend, or just slow down the period of time that it takes. Only time will tell.

Exactly one year ago on Monday, October 6, 2025, Bitcoin renewed its ATH, which has not been surpassed to this day. The price was fixed in the range of $126,080 - $126,223.
I congratulate Bitcoin on this big step, there are still many achievements ahead.
I guess we are not far again from hitting back the ATH. Bitcoin keep surprising us all in several occasions. I could remember the previous ATH of $69k which later it fell down to $15k far below expectation but however it went to the pick and we hit $126k before dropping down to the least $65k or so, though I am not certain about the least price for the previous ATH but I believe we are not fsr from going back to the previous ATH. But I don't see that happening soon or by the end of this year but possibly by next year. Lastly I don't see anything to congratulate about Bitcoin because its not a human being but just an asset. Ideally I don't think that we can worry yet that one year after the current ATH that Bitcoin is yet to hit another ATH I believe that it will happen only we don't know how soon or far that we have to wait, if we believe that Bitcoin still have the potentials to reach ATH then there is nothing to worry about. After the ATH we slide into bear run and that is pretty much where we are now, so one year after is not too long before another ATH we should give it more time to build more momentum before eventually skyrocketing to a sustainable ATH where bull run wouldn't be a flash in the pan before an inevitable bear run would start again. I would congratulate every Bitcoin investors who have been accumulating and holding, believing that no matter how long it takes that ATH will happen again and again.

But I guess being less volatile as compare to it's previous run, we can't do anything about it but to embrace it. Sooner or later the market will have to progress and maybe that could be one indication.

Less volatile compared to older days? I would say it is saying exactly that. I mean, you just have to realise that taking Bitcoin from 1 dollar to 2 dollars would have been a 100% increase in price and yet would have taken less than a million dollars probably; today, with a million dollars you may not even move the price 1 dollar, and it would be insignificant. It means that we do have some situations where it is required to have a lot more money to be involved for every move in Bitcoin. You see Bitcoin going down? That is billions of dollars worth of bitcoin being sold; you see it going up? That is billions once again being used to buy bitcoin. So, obviously speaking, we are talking about a situation where it is more stable, mainly because it takes a lot more money to move it.

Bitcoin has made ATHs which if am correct have respectively stayed over a 365 days without it being surpassed, this times own is just a repeat of that historical data which isn't new. Hence, me no see a big deal in this except that the only thing significant about each ATH gained is how volatility is tapering, which is good for long term hedge holding. Remember when bitcoin was first launched sometime in 2009 and never was with any trading value but look at where the price is currently after 4 prominent cycles

Remember when bitcoin was first launched sometime in 2009 and never was with any trading value but look at where the price is currently after 4 prominent cycles The bitcoin cycle has been nearly consistent since it's 17 years of existence. I have read various texts about how bitcoin cycle is no longer existent and how the last cycle will be the last of its kind and how irregular the cycle has become. I have seen several predictions of bitcoin surpassing $150k this year 2026 and so on and so forth. This is one year gone and the ATH still stands and bitcoin has refused to cross that stage again. I am not saying that it will never cross again this year neither do I know for certain that its next ATH is happening in 2029, but having spent this one year in bear, it still follows same pattern, perhaps possible evidence that the bitcoin cycle still remains intact and unshaken. If there's anything to celebrate after this one year, it should be how consistent you have been in gathering more bitcoin, how you have been true to holding and how you have made the right financial decisions that kept your bitcoin stash intact. The lessons learned and the errors committed due to panic within this past one year. Bitcoin has come to stay!

And we still don't know what will be the catalyst in the next bull run. From the last cycle it was the ETF's and institutions, but maybe in the next run, there will be a new set of investors that will push the price to the next level.
As far as I know, Bitcoin halving is always one of the factors that triggers the huge pump of Bitcoin price in each bullrun season. We have the next halving in 2028. The next bullrun season is predicted to happen in 2028-2029. I think it still can push the price to skyrocket again. But I guess being less volatile as compare to it's previous run, we can't do anything about it but to embrace it. Sooner or later the market will have to progress and maybe that could be one indication.
In my opinion, it is because the demand in the market is more stable than the previous cycle. Recently, there is good demand to Bitcoin because many investors accumulate Bitcoin constantly. The more we have bigger investors, I think the volatility will be lower. However, Bitcoin have dropped below $60k in this year, it is quite cheap price to buy Bitcoin, right? Have you accumulated enough Bitcoin to prepare the next BTC ATH?

It has been almost a year since the Bitcoin price hit its highest high, but we have seen the market fall a lot since the highest ATH. After facing a major decline in the Bitcoin price, the market has been in a recession for a long time, and now the situation in the market is very positive. We can see that the market touched $87k last month, which clearly indicates to us that the market may be touching a new milestone very soon. According to the current situation of the Bitcoin market, many have predicted that it may exceed $100k by the end of 2026. And if the market does not face a major decline in the next year, then it will definitely continue to rise gradually. However, we hope that if the market remains positive after 2026, it can touch the all-time high again.

But it is not the only one and it may not be the main driver anymore, imo. Just look at the last cycle. Btc hit new ATH before the halving, with ETF being one of the key catalysts. Bitcoin has matured and is increasingly influenced by macroeconomic factor and institutional money flows. That's why some people expect the next bull run around 2028, while others reckon it could come sooner if the macro picture improves. Have you accumulated enough Bitcoin to prepare the next BTC ATH?
Not enough yet, tbh. I'd rather see BTC keep dipping than start pumping again. The longer this bear market drags on and the deeper BTC drops, the more chances we get to stack sats on the cheap. Dunno why so many people don't like that

Sooner or later the market will have to progress and maybe that could be one indication. The next catalyst will be them and individual holders will join them. More holders are entering Bitcoin. Many investors are holding Bitcoin rather than holding cash in the face of global volatility. While ETF and institutional adoption were the catalysts for last year’s bull run, this cycle will repeat itself. These investors will not always be in the same position, sometimes creating small waves and sometimes large ones. A wave was expected this month but it is likely to start next month. Active investors use their capital in various ways to influence the well-organized market system.

Indeed. Halving may be not a single catalyst to trigger the bullrun season in this cycle. As I said, it is just one of the catalysts. We have too many factors that can influence the Bitcoin price and even the market crypto condition nowadays. Yes, in the previous cycle, Bitcoin could reach a new ATH before the halving happened. ETH became the factor to trigger it. In the next bullrun season, there may be a new catalyst. Bitcoin has matured and is increasingly influenced by macroeconomic factor and institutional money flows. That's why some people expect the next bull run around 2028, while others reckon it could come sooner if the macro picture improves.
You are right. That's why I said the demand of Bitcoin is getting more stable now. Sure, there may be some changes in the cycle. But the bullrun season seems still to happen in 2028-2029. I'm not sure it will happen sooner. Not enough yet, tbh. I'd rather see BTC keep dipping than start pumping again. The longer this bear market drags on and the deeper BTC drops, the more chances we get to stack sats on the cheap. Dunno why so many people don't like that Recently, Bitcoin has dropped to around $80k. I think it is quite good price to buy again because it seems to not drop too significant. Do you think it will drop lower than $80k?

I am understanding your login now. Things are completely changed, volatility will not be like Bitcoin had in the past. Now it's all about the movement of money, which is making things more interesting. The flow of billions of dollars is having a huge impact on Bitcoin but is still increasing its stability. Big investments are making their impact with institutes that are having a good flow of money and their need of time because with this flow, bitcoin will have more increase. Now currently we are in a mixer with no bearish trend or no bullish trend, but things are on a good level, which is good for investors.

I apologize for writing so confusingly. I simply wanted to emphasize that Bitcoin achieved price recognition exactly one year ago. There are many types of Bitcoin recognition, and the main one is adoption. Price is just an accompanying factor. And this price recognition, the ATH, happened exactly one year ago...
Exactly 1 yr ago I understood the excitement, but it’s really nothing to celebrate if you ask me since there are plenty of times when Bitcoin is going to recreate a new all-time high. It's not new. Besides, we also have another event which is being talked about on X: what happened on 10/10 when the FTX exchange collapsed and dragged the market down with its stablecoin doing most of the damage in the market. Should that also be something to celebrate?

I congratulate Bitcoin on this big step, there are still many achievements ahead. Well, that was fast; actually, I didn't see it or remember that it was already a year ago of the Bitcoin all-time high. I could still remember since I was mostly active trading taking out and selling part by part of my Bitcoin. Luckily enough, I sold Bitcoin at the actual top, which I didn't really expect to do, but at that time I just knew that Bitcoin is going to collapse since it is already overbought for sure. Actually, it was not a bad position to be since we are around 80k$ which in my opinion still pretty high, I don't really think that we hit any bottom at all since market price didn't really drop that much only a have I think, but in just a short amount of time, since the increase to 126k$ was too fast and quickly go down, I wouldn't consider any foundation on that increase it was just a spike on the market price.

Like OP mentioned, Bitcoin reached its ATH in the month of October last year so we could see a similar price action this year too, maybe not exactly this month but before the year runs out.

To be fair, hard to say what's next. I also asked a few traders I know, and as usual, opinions are split. Some think BTC won't see a deep correction, while others think it could slide to $6xk. From my limited understanding, if BTC can't reclaim $84k on the 12h, it probably bleeds more and $80k is totally on the table. Let's see how it plays out. Honestly, and as I said before, I'd rather see BTC dump than keep pumping

Basically, everyone has their own perspective, since they analyze things based on their own expertise. Some might look at Bitcoin’s price cycle, others might use technical analysis, and it’s not uncommon for people to just go with their gut "I think it’ll reach this price", LOL. From my limited understanding, if BTC can't reclaim $84k on the 12h, it probably bleeds more and $80k is totally on the table. Let's see how it plays out.
It’s even worse. Looking at the daily time frame, Bitcoin has formed a double top pattern at the $86k–$87k price range. Currently, the price is holding steady due to a demand zone or liquidity at the $80k. Based on my personal analysis, there is still a high likelihood that Bitcoin could drop to $74k at this time. I can conclude that this means you still didn’t accumulate enough Bitcoin when the price dropped to the $60k level, right. It’s no different from me, when the price dropped to that level, i just kept waiting, hoping it would drop to at least $50k before i started accumulating. Even though there’s the DCA method i could have used, i chose instead to buy it all at once at the lowest possible price .

One year is no joke. Well, $126,080 / $126,198 that happened last year 2025 can mean that Bitcoin is low right now because the tendency of breaking that All Time High (ATH) $126,080 / $126,198 is possible. As of this year 2026, Bitcoin High is $97860 which was a close move toward hitting at least $100k and that's more hope of hitting $100,000+, a close move to ATH, unlike now that it's around $80,000+ of which hitting $100k is a big achievement.
