I think it’s more or less like that, and they’re not wrong to consider this still the early stages—even though their Bitcoin holdings are small compared to those of major holders—because even though the amount they hold is small, they already own it.

what does this have to do with early or late adoption of the coin.

I would argue if you got in at 4k in the covid crash you were early.

if you got in at 19k in dec 2017 you were late.

Early in regards to what? I think it depends on what you are actually comparing with each other here.

When it comes to ROI potential, comparing the next 1.5 decades to the last 1.5 decades would probably not justify any claim that it is still early days. It just doesn't make sense when you see an asset going up 100,000x to then say that it is still early days when it goes up another 10x. But when it is about the relevance of an asset within the global economy, claiming it is still early days could still hold true. It will most likely still hold true unless bitcoin gets into serious trouble for whatever reason.

Considering it is early days from a purely historical perspective with regard to how long other asset classes need to establish themselves would still be right I guess, but does that perspective really make any sense in times of hyper fast technological change? If an investor is in for a gamble, they would probably be better off to look out for a potential unicorn in the seed phase.

Its not deceiving but they probably pointing out adoption rate for now is so low compare on the global population in the world. If we look at that angle we can really say that we are still in early phase.

I also understand why people think about we are already late, because they maybe think that past 6 digits figures is to expensive. But Bitcoin probably does not stop there, because if they look at the current happening now in the market. I stand to say that nobody is deceiving anybody saying or seeing Bitcoin to be at early stage if ordinarily with the case of bitcoin ranking and market capitalization, don't get me wrong ok even though people can be entitled to their opinion. Everyone has a different definition of early when it comes to Bitcoin. For me, being early means you got in before the Silk Road article that opened the floodgates. At that point the cat was out of the bag and Bitcoin was discoverable. The folks who had already been accumulating by then, were clearly early.

If we want to base the comparison of early or late period of Bitcoin based on the price(previous and present)then this analysis are quite okay and understandable. Because we can see the difference clearly from the price before and now. Even the 19k them seem a bit early to me compared to the present price or $82k+

it is pretty much a mortal lock to do that or crash to much lower.

but 6x the price is no big deal

look at it another way.

spacex is 165 I would say it is certain to do 1000 by 2036

btc is 82500 I would say it is iffy to do 500,000 by 2036


or spacex was 135 and is now 165

btc was 10 cents and is now 82,500

so buy spacex to still be early.


and I know btc was under 10 cents.

I would rather get 5000 shares of spacex as a gift

Still have a long way to go, but I think with a couple more halving,s then we'd see that the volatility will be not that much anymore. Just as what we're seeing this year, it's different from the past cycles that we've seen. I used to say to my friends that we're not yet late but, I guess that we're on that point already that somehow whoever invests above $100k is already considered late because for them to 10x, it's going to take a while and bitcoin needs to reach $1M with that goal. Unlike with the early investors, a couple of hundreds then it had return more than 10x since then in the past years.

Those who point out such things are basically only considering Bitcoin investment, because they wait for a long time and think whether their money is going to waste. When investing in Bitcoin, one should stay away from the attitude that those who are not self-reliant are not capable of investing in Bitcoin, and if they want to use their money properly, they must take risks.
Therefore, those who have been investing in Bitcoin from the past will never say that it is in the early stages, but those investors who have held a small amount of Bitcoin and have been using this strategy to keep their attitude and thinking active are only saying that we are in the early stages now.
