Obviously, before commenting that on the post, I politely asked [**Dozerz**](https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=65034) for permission, and he had no problem with it. Of course, if he had refused, I would have continued with the auction. I don't know how I would have managed it, but I would have found a way to get the money. Fortunately, he's a good person and allowed me to cancel. That being said, you're absolutely right. Auctions have rules, and I don't think I'm respecting them in this case.

that is fine - it is not my auction nor do I need to know the way in which you resolve it - that is between you and dozerz - I meant no disrespect to either party.

I am simply commenting from my personal experience and saying the best way to avoid these types of situations is to always set every bid aside (as if you were to pay right at the time of bidding) that way there is no concern for liquidity because the funds would be "spent" already. That is all.

It is simply an observation.
