https://thequantuminsider.com/2026/10/07/federal-quantum-readiness-falls-short-as-agencies-face-cryptography-skills-gaps/So, it seems the big fellas don't know what to do for 2 apparent reasons. One is that they have not enough money and knowledge on how to prepare before it's too late.
According to this short article, they need around $7B fund and a bunch of ahead of their times scientists to make it happen.
Though I'm not particularly concerned about BTC, ( not that I'm not worried). Problem is the cryptography systems without a solution, or even if they have one, changing them to be QC secure would require money and time.
And finally the same confused so called experts claim that we have more than 10 years ( by 2040) to completely change and stay safe in the future.
Don't get me started on the harvest problem. Which means a lot of secrets will no longer remain secrets in the future. So be ready to have your darkest secrets become public, unless you don't have any (govs and public population, corporations, etc), yeah right!
And where is our dear founder? That's right, moved on to work on other things because BTC presumably was in good hands. To be fair however, there have been good contributors since his disappearance, but some of them had their daggers hidden and each one used it against satoshi every few years after he left us ( fake usernames, not provable proxies can't help as the original man himself)
On a side note, could you imagine 50k of satoshi's coins anonymously being allocated for the biggest research and development institute on PQC? That would prove, a decentralized system can save itself and doesn't need outside help ( specially from centralized parties without transparent intentions behind their works).
@satoshi, you are a great man really, but you have been in the shadows for too long, I'm not saying to go public with your identity, I'm saying to do something noticeable, something that when it's done, the whole world undoubtedly believe it's from you.
Best regards to all the hard working contributors all of these years.
