A good influencer might not be a good entrepreneur because it is a different skills entirely. An entrepreneur has a lot to do in order to make his product be in competition with other similar products in the market. An entrepreneur knows the importance of advertising his product which is why he needs an influencer to do it for him. I'm just wondering if an influencer happens to have his own product to advertise on social media, there will be too much sugarcoating in his words and that might mislead people to rush the product and experience a different result. I understand your point but I have to say that there is difference between being a social media influencer and having a social media page like platform and you have friends on your handle. Those who are influencers may not have anything that they are selling for themselves but they have built a brand for themselves that people now follow whatever they do. Such people have platforms and maybe companies appoint them as their ambassadors to market their products on their own platform because they know people are following them, believe them and will patronize the product. On the other hand, there are those who sell products using their own handles and social media platforms. For example, they may have 4,000 friends on Facebook and that does not mean they are influencers.

However, I agree with you that businesses have now moved from the streets to online because people see the ease of doing business online since COVID opened the digital space for demand and supply while in your comfort space at home.

You must be joking, right! Because no way a person who wants to start a small or even big business has to be influential first. You start doing this, you can never become a businessman. You need to know what is important and use your resources accordingly. Because you don't have 1000 years to live, at max you have 100 years. But most want to be rich before 50, so make a plan accordingly. Although it takes only a few years to be influential, if you can become influential like those big celebrities, then you may not even have to start a business because you can earn better. But those big celebrities have their businesses running, and many people don't even know they belong to this celebrity!

Well, just as the old saying, there are two side to a coin, similarly same can be said about digital marketing and at such it is either you re ready to go through the pain or stress of developing your skill in becoming a social media influencer just to drive up sales personally in your business or better still engage the services of a renowned social media influencer to help market your product, both have their advantages and disadvantages.

When you engage the services of a known influencer or a celebrity pending on how the case may be especially if the individual is a high profile celebrity that has the ability to influence the public because not all celebrities possess such capability.

What types of influencers are we talking about? I believe that influencers are of different categories, the few I have seen that make names for themselves are all comedians.

Social media algorithms will always drive content you show interest in. Maybe you are interested in comedy; this is why you assume that comedians are the most popular.

Mind you, there are few crazy ones that caught the attention of the world, and it makes me wonder why crazy things attract people more than normal, set camera and start misbehaving then the insane amount of viewers will come.

Let me clarify my position in this topic, what i'm talking about is not so much about the content or whatever the person puts out there, but how successful they are in it, in order to be able to pull a large followership and promote stuffs to them. It is very common to find people who say their job is "social media influencing", but they do not really have much to offer, in order to build followership, thus i advise that people be careful how they jump on the trend.

We have more wannabe influencers than those who are professionals. Influencing takes a lot of planning, strategies, and hard work. Those with enough financial strength can hire professionals to build their social and digital influence.

imagine that you are that person who possesses such a skill has a large audience already following you for your influence and then goes on to develop a product. You will record a level of sales and not have to pay anyone a commission for helping you sell your business when you personally do that effortlessly because of the skill you possess.

I doubt all social media influencers need a trend to follow because I know a lady who works in a bank and even while at work, she never fails to make videos about just anything she can say.
She talks about life, about gratitude about the gospel about others, just about anything and she doesn't focus on any trend or follow a current trend, but she has her followers and is present on almost all social media platforms that allow video content.

I admire her grit because it ain't easy to combine a real salary work with making video content and it's just unique in her own way that if she decides to leave the company tomorrow and decide to open hers or sell a product, people would be forced to patronize her.

As a business personnel it is very okay to learn social media influencing yourself but the truth is fame sometimes can be difficult to acquire. So while you’re trying to get your page engaged, you still have to opt in for lifting i.e you’ll need a helping hand.

Sometimes influencing itself can be difficult especially if you’re not too vocal or it’s not even your thing at all, and there are people out there that influencing is what they’re made for. Now here is a way out; keep you page engaged at same time, pay higher influencers with your page tagged. The fact that one of their Favorite influencers advertised it, may give them the convincion to give the product a chance, which will in turn take them to your page that has never appeared in their FYP.
Social media has this inclined connection that will all of a sudden keep bringing your page up, and someday they may be interested in a specific product of yours.
