I totally agree with you, but in my opinion you need to be diversified if you have a business. What I mean is that apart from social media and  a good following from them , you should also use ads like Facebook, or Google ads in order to diversify the places where you get leads/clients from.

A million percent right. Influencing is a term that means convincing, being able to persuade anyone or a crowd to do something that isn't their own will. Real influencers hardly come in front of the camera to tell people what to do. Without that, people go to their pages, see their lifestyle, and mimic everything they do. I did not suggest this exactly, just that being influential which is the word I used is a plus for a businessperson. I did not use the word famous, because I think that although all famous people are not influential, especially across all field. Everything depends on product quality because being a loud social media influencer with a good amount of followers does not automatically means that you understand how to build a good business product. There are so many instances out there on the internet space where social media celebrities decide to launch their own makeup line, fashion brands or drinks by leveraging on their massive audience, only for the business to collapse or fail woefully after a few months and that's because the actual product has not have real quality. Social Media influencing was already a huge job these days, endorsements, etc. This is what most businesses and companies use these days and I would say on my line of work our company actually utilizes micro-influencers to celebrity influencers and hiring them for huge pay just to endorse a product or promote it, there are usual X deals a product exchange of a video promotion which is usually what we do because, most of the time, consumers don't really have anything on what the product is, as long as it has the face on the influencer or the celebrity on the product, then it is a good product.

Not gonna lie this advertisement strategy was working at my job company, where we are able to earn huge sales easily on our product with just this kind of promotion. Even our new brands with huge influencers already are easily getting trending, and the brand launches are crazy because of the early sales because we hire huge celebrity influencers already. I mean, even celebrities are switching already to influencers these days.

Being an influencer is now like a plague that is mushrooming because so many people especially young people who hope they have a lot of followers on several platforms and not infrequently this actually backfires because they don't care what content they do the most important thing is exposure so for now some platforms, especially on social media, many gen Z and millennial age children actually look proud of their own stupidity.

Indeed, the opportunity to be on social media and become an influencer will be seen as a quick way to increase popularity and make us earn income that may even be beyond expectations but it cannot be denied that the longer this paradox is getting destroyed because most try in an instant and seem stupid way to increase their exposure.

Those things that were sold entirely for a lifetime are now being billed or subscribed to weekly or monthly. I think an angle of this is what is called personal branding. Specifically personal branding on the Internet. Once you can build a personal brand that people can trust you will automatically build social capital and the social capital in to becomes to make you influence others on the Internet. You don’t need to chase clouds or report misinformation or disinformation like other people who are aiming to become social media influencer do just build a strong personal brand and it would be easy to influence people. And influence comes with followers, which is just organic and from there on depends on your goals in the first place branch would want to work with you because you have something that they need, value which in turn becomes money.
