Smart people in the house how did you all bypass the habit of copy pasting wallet addresses?

Is there any whitelist method where you just copy paste it?
Is there any offline methods?

Drop your own copy pasting strategy where dust txns won't reach?

The only method I still have is using wallet to scan barcode.
I find it stressful at times, what about you?

The best way to copy securely is to ensure your device is not compromised with clipboard hijackers or any other malware. With this, you're sure the address you copied is the one you pasted on the other end. Always double check the addresses before confirming them, not just the last 3 characters but the entire thing, both side by side, to ensure there are no changes.

If you do not want to copy them at all, scanning a qr code is your only option I think.

Drop your own copy pasting strategy where dust txns won't reach?

Before I share my idea on how to safely copy and paste your Bitcoin address to make your transaction, first ensure that you don't have copy-and-paste malware on your system, because the targeted address could be copied and exchanged with another one.

Don't copy an address from your transaction history if you are not that experience in it, go straight to your wallet address and copy and ensure that you paste accordingly without any omission or alteration address you copied, additionally you can choose to verify your copied address is the same as the one you have pasted.

Lastly, don't expose your wallet address to the public to avoid address poisoning when random people begin to copy your address to send you those transactions, and you may mistake them for your intended address if you go through your history to copy the address you wanted to send coins to.

If you've dusts in the wallet, it's best to use addresses that doesn't have them or you will use coin control to select UTXO sets next time you're spending from the address.

If you do not want to copy them at all, scanning a qr code is your only option I think.
Scanning QR code works well if it's a different device, I'm not sure there's a way around it with same device. I actually prefer scanning QR codes than copying and pasting. It's more stress free and more accurate. Though you must always make it a habit to confirm very well before proceeding.

How stressful can it be, if it actually helps keep you secured then just a very tiny stress is actually nothing to worry about if you ask me.
First in security you don't consider stress as a priority especially when in reality it isn't that much of a stress, I consider scanning barcode safe, also if you are not the easily distracted person and you always pay attention to detail with some security checks copy and paste works fine.

If your wallet supports Qrcode[most wallet should anyway]..you can choose that over manual copy and paste, but you still have to learn the habit of verifying before trusting everything is fine…

Verify the details once or twice again before hitting the sign or send button, it doesn’t take up to an hour  Smiley.

The qrcode isn’t immune, they can be manipulated or replaced from receiving wallet device [initiator], if it is infected but they are generally safer than the manual copy and paste

Bro one of the easiest way to dodge out all this copy and paste of a thing stress is to just use the Address Book feature on your wallet/exchange or even whitelist. All you just need to do is to save the address instantly, well confirmed and you then lock it , so next time you just have to select it from options, haves the stress of copying anything. You don’t need to copy anything again.

But also if you must have to copy and paste. Here is a real trick, all you need to do is to stop checking the last and first four letters. This are what scammers are aware of already, they knows that me and you are lazy. So all they do is to use a bots to generate a fake address that is looking just exactly like yours, using the first and last four digit of your own address. So for you to think fast ahead of them you need to also check out your middle characters.

And also for those that do use a hardware wallet. You should do well by avoiding what your phone or computer is showing you on screen. You should do well by trusting and confirming only the address that is displaying on your physical device before going ahead to approve anything. Just as easy at that.

Exactly, i was about saying neither of the two methods is completely safe from attack. The best way is what has already being said here. Always verify the complete address after you copy it from deposit address and not from your transaction history before you confirm the transaction.

I shared a video few days back on my LB about a user that the Binance exchange was changing his deposits addresses without the user knowledge and that was how he ended up sending money to a wrong address. If only he had paid attention he might not have being the victim of that malware attack. Paying attention to details when it come to copy pasting addresses cannot be overlooked.

Br careful of dust attack and address poisoning. Make sure that you check and recheck the address you are sending to by making sure it us correct.

Be careful of malware generally. Learn how to avoid malware. Use cold storage for high amount of money. Always be careful of malware both on cokd and hot wallet.

CTRL+C then CTRL+V. Cheesy
I guess that's how we can copy and paste on a computer right?

Most of the investors are doing it that way, and that includes me. However, I've added this whenever I send coins where I'm checking every single character of the address to make sure that it's correct. When I say every single character, I mean every single letter and number out there, and yes, I know for some the might confuse themselves because of those uppercase and lowercase letters aside from the fact that there are some numbers out there, but it works for me, and so does for the majority who are doing it.

QR codes work, but they aren't immune just like what the above post was said, so for me, looking every single character for me is the safest way. LAZY?? Trust me. Being lazy could cause you thousands and even millions so f*ck the laziness. Cheesy

I think 99/100 all use copy and paste, only a few make use of QR codes.

Don't always trust your keyboard, I don't mind spending time manually checking each character of the address before sending.

Lastly, don't expose your wallet address to the public to avoid address poisoning when random people begin to copy your address to send you those transactions, and you may mistake them for your intended address if you go through your history to copy the address you wanted to send coins to.
Is the forum not public, we all have our addresses posted on campaign threads, that's public enough.
