A gambler should determine their choice from the beginning. If they force themselves to play in a casino that will require KYC, there will still be problems later on.

I am not sure the problem is that too many people don't want to submit their personal info to these casinos. They just hate the timing it usually comes up, which is mostly when you win a big amount of money and you're trying to withdraw it. If many casinos asked for KYC upon registration, or randomly, and not just after a big win, i doubt that a lot of people would feel hard done by.

Your question makes it look as though we are gambling for KYC, of course there are people who decide not to gamble due to this KYC issues because they wouldn't want their reputation to be ruined. Remember not everyone that is gambling for profit, some people are just gambling for fun that is why they find it hard to put their KYC in a casino. But as for those that are gambling for profit even though they decide not to give their KYC documents to the casino at some point you will see them giving it out, so this issue about KYC is just a matter of choice if you don't want to give out your KYC to the casino you can as well switch to no KYC casino.

Some of the no-kyc casinos do require kyc at some point,  maybe after a big win and they want to ensure they find a reason to not payout the win, then they request for the KYC and that's why it's good to read through the TOS no matter how lengthy it might be.

I don't think gamblers are afraid of KYC but most of us are more selective when it comes to KYC and we know that it's important to maintain anonymity even though for now it may be a bit eroded.

I have no problem with the existence of KYC but when there is still an option not to do it then I prefer not to do than to force for KYC because with this option indirectly we have the option to determine the decision we do and currently there are gambling sites that have good trust in terms of reputation that still uphold this (Non KYC).
KYC is just an option and all is determined from the gamblers who play if indeed this is an option and they are aware of doing KYC then it is their business but if it becomes a burden some of us will look for other alternatives by looking for sites that do not require KYC as the initial ToS.

I have no issue releasing my ID and a selfie to a site. I have issue with their process when they ask for more then that. Proof of wealth or bank statements, anything other that my ID and a selfie is being way too invasive IMO.

I play on a few sites and have given nothing more then ID and a selfie. I have multiple 10k+ wins on these sites and they have never given me any issues when it comes to making a wd. IMO when sites start asking for more, they are looking for an excuse to keep your funds or close your account. They have suspected you of cheating in some form and need a concrete reason to get you off their platform.

With so many data leaks that happen, I just don't think it's smart to release a ton of personal information to a site.

In reality, there is no shortage of so called No KYC casino in market today. When you sign up or make any deposit, they cheerfully tell you, No ID needed just deposit and play. But when do complication actually begin? They start when any player wins substantial amount and attempt to withdraw it! Then suddenly account was placed under review and was asked to submit document for Conditional KYC. In doing so, they effectively stall or block player.

Had they been transparent from the start, player would at least have known what they were getting into. Do people actually do that?. From a couple of threads I can remember from this board, one of the common issues gamblers tend to have are when casinos promote themselves as Non-Kyc, but end up demanding for KYC, especially when a gambler decides to withdraw their winnings... But in this case, that's clearly the opposite.

I don't think anyone with clear understanding of the rules, would be reluctant to comply when the time comes, especially when there's something at stake, like the winnings. If you actually think it's normal to give out your data for a leisurely service then there's probably no need to have a privacy related discussion in the first place. There's no solid reason why it could be mandatory to share your data to random services.

To start with most of these casinos if you investigate properly are not even registered in some of the regions they are being used in and to add to that what exactly do you think happens to your information if these services close down? Everyone wants to maintain their privacy and that is why they are very afraid to do KYC on casino platforms. Many can accept their financial loss but cannot accept the issue of submitting their personal documents anywhere. There are many casino platforms where gambling can be done without KYC but the platforms that are now in the top position are making KYC mandatory for their users and gamblers are not too afraid to do identity verification on those platforms because those platforms are providing their services with enough trust and that is why they have been able to occupy a good place in the gambling industry. Non-Kyc casinos would have been a better option for most users if they had a different legal licensing system, but that doesn't even make sense because the crux is to have higher authorizations to snoop into, verify if a user is real and to identify a user who is likely to be of a financial risk. That's true, I'm not always bothered about the KYC verification. You should have summarize your content by telling us that since we are not ready to drop our KYC information on an exchange, why do you want to trade our coins? Not all exchanges are centralized. We have decentralized exchanges and the centralized ones.

I don’t have problem submitting my KYC to gambling sites, but I will have to confirm the legitimacy of the gambling site before I submit my identity. I won’t just make use of a random gambling site which I haven’t seen so much positive review about, and am going to release my identity, I don’t even think it’s proper.

Anyone that doesn’t want to reveal their identity should just make sure they use non KYC gambling site, and they will be able to have fun without revealing their identity. Actually they should make sure they check the casino terms and conditions first.
