In my country Nigeria we all know that things are very difficult and live is very very hard and masses are going through alot because of the economic meltdown and we are all pointing our fingers to the number citizens of this country as the cause of everything,  some states in Nigeria the masses does not sleep with their two eyes close because of insecurities ,but our leaders doesn't care about the situation of Nigeria, how people struggle to survive, what the mases is passing through.our leaders are becoming more evil everyday by day by adding suffering into suffering to make it more sufferings.for example the state where I am living right now, the governor banned motorcycle of any kinds  and I know this kind of a thing happens in others states too, and we all know that some of our young and old people graduates and non graduates who has no jobs, are managing their life through the use of the motorcycle (as okada) a means of survival in life and to train their children in schools, while some people use motorcycles going out or taking their children to school since they don't have cars or tricycle ,even in some states tricycle is banned too ,and they forgot that there are those who are living in a new site, and others living in a place where cars cannot pass through while others are farmers and all of this is what they don't consider because it will never affect them or their families and I ask what is the offense of a common man in Nigeria?

I have Post this same thread on the other forum for us to know the challenges we are facing in our differences states where we are living currently,to know if your current governor is a helping hand in his leadership in the situation of this country or oppressor..

Every state is suffering from insecurity in Nigeria for more than a decade now and it's no longer a new thing in Nigeria, we Nigerians should just do everything within our powers not to find ourselves in a position where we will need the help of the federal government before we can gain our freedom because the federal government will turn a blind eye. Op, as for your governor banning motorcycle (okada) in your state, this kind of thing has been happening across the states in Nigeria for a very long time, if the banning of motorcycle (okada) only take effect in your state capital I don't see anything wrong in that because it will help to reduce crime in your state.

There's something that people don't understand when you take food from somebody's mouth forcefully you are literally pushing them out to do anything to survive, most of those biker's are graduates who decided to do that business instead of staining their hands or doing criminal activities and the means of survival was taken away without providing another source of survival. The people who makes these laws have cars, flies in private jet, have escorts that takes them from one place to another so no matter how people complain about insecurity they won't understand because it's not affecting them at all, there is so much hunger everywhere because the poor man has no voice, the government doesn't even listen to them when they talk, they listen to themselves.

Most people are now living their lives in fear, while others can't even travel freely because of the fear of being kidnapped. I'm not against the banning of bikes but then there should be other options, inform them, get them jobs, capital to start business or even give them skills for those that would want to do that but then bikes are been sized and no other way, most of these guys will go back to committing crime.

Arab useless government. You close something that someone provides job for people without creating job opportunities for Nigerians. That's a big frustration to some families.

Nigeria story can make someone cry. You see this leaders go abroad to experience good life and don't come home to do same. It's a shame to Nigeria as a country. I weep for Nigeria ooh. Seriously.

Some people will never get to the point of experiencing true leadership in their country. That's bad and sad at the sametime. I can see a lot of families now pivoting to the point of commiting suicide just because of the hardship.

Nigeria needs to come together and take their country back. Enough of this division of tribalism and religion and any other thing that is causing division. Come together and work together.

Misplaced priority that's what our government is doing in this country. Areas that deserves attention they won't look into it but when they see where the poor masses are using to make ends meet, that is where you see them displaying rubbish. Is it even a good thing that graduates are doing transportation business to earn a living? Why are they now banning motorcycles and tricycle when they know that it is the only avenue that the poor man uses to provide for his family. What do they want this youths to do to earn a living now that they have banned their source of livelihood. In a country where there's no job, and they are removing food from people's mouth. No wonder i have been seeing bikes that people are selling at cheaper price on Facebook.

Everything we face today is the cause of our so called leaders from top to bottom, people who are suffering this most is the common people you and i, there is no security anywhere in the country this is why you see our Nigeria politicians surrendered by army men because they couldn't fix things better in the country rather steal our treasures and make things hard for the common man, there need to be some changes next year but this will be possible if we all agreed to it we can make every bad government pay for it, if we can get a good person as our president this time things won't be worse as they are now.

As at today no state is free from attacks melted on the people by bandits whose aim is to kill and destroy and the government has not really putting the security of the nation as their top priority because if they do offcourse the level of insecurity will reduced as the terrorists will be haunted down, what the president is concerned about is to win election in 2027, if you go to Benue and plateau state there has been a lot of killings over there and people cannot move freely in their own states, it's very terrifying and the masses are suffering.

I won't even talk about the hunger in the land because we all know about it and the one thing that would have have helped which is fuel subsidy was removed by the president and yet he can't make the economy stable so common Nigerians can survive, we are suffering and smiling, the only thing that will make Nigeria better is having a good and visionary leader that has the people at heart.

Nigeria is blessed that is why it pains me that we are suffering in this country. how can a state governor banned the use of okada for commercial purposes when he knows that is what his people used for their survival and to train their children in school. If there are jobs, that would be reasonable but when you don't provide jobs for people and you close the only one they are managing for their survival, is that not wickedness? I wonder what these leaders thinks of us, whether we are their slaves or what because this is so horrific. If you can take their only source of survival is the same thing as killing them because you have deprived them of their means to feed their family. This is one the reason why people join bad gangs, kidnapping and arm robbery, when you take their source of income, you are indirectly pushing them into crimes.

It is becoming more and more difficult for the common man to lead a life with time, the government of the country is responsible for this, the bad politics is responsible. I do not know when this bad situation of ours will end. If the political leaders and activists of the country are not good, the suffering of the common man will never go away, it will gradually increase. When the head of the country is associated with corruption, how the country will develop and how the common man will live a normal life is an important. It is true that the change in the country will be possible only when we all stay together, become better on our own and protest against injustice, as a result, it is possible to bring about change in the country. The main strength of the country is the people and when the people are all united, bad politicians will not be able to create chaos in the country easily.

The government actions are truly justified, but that dosen't make it the right decision for everyone..Why I said it is justified is coz there are some part of the country whereby illicit and criminal activities are carried out more effectively using Okada..I have a few friends who have actually been victims of such painful experiences..They were victims of snatch and grab, whereby the robbers used bike for mobility after snatching my guys mobile phones...
But then again, the government haven't solved anything coz the crimes they tried to address is still happening with other means of transportation like Korope, Keke, cars and danfo's...I am sure that in this months alone, numerous guys would have been victims already from crimes committed through other means of transportation other than bike..I just hope they don't ban other means of transportation which would leave us trekking to every destination we would want to go, since banning has become the M.O used to tackling crimes...
The root cause of crimes should be fixed..And this root cause includes--Joblessness, poor education, bad government and whatnot and if this are fixed then the government do not need to worry anymore about banning bike which is more or a means of livelihood to majority of folks since it is way more cheaper when compared to Keke, bus, and private cars...
