So far no hacking tools have been invented that can hack or bypass the Bitcoin seed phrase to access Bitcoin wallet  and transfer funds from it. If such a tool is ever created people will never be able to trust Bitcoin again. Until now, wallet hacking or theft has been mostly due to the carelessness of the user. They would have obtained the personal and highly sensitive data on the phone through phone hacking or Gmail access. When the seed phrases stored there were passed on to the hackers they would have easily used it to withdraw funds from the wallet.

There is really no problem with the security system of Bitcoin here. The main problem is the carelessness of the person holding Bitcoin. If he had carefully backed up the seed phrases where no one could ever access then his wallet would never have been hacked.

Actually I would not call this hacking or even a security issue of Bitcoin. This is basically scammers stealing Bitcoin from someone fund through other technological way . This is actually stealing Bitcoin through phone hacking or other way. Because till now no one has been able to access Bitcoin fund by hacking wallet without seed phrase and it is not possible. Scammers target is to access seed phrases kept in backup due to people personal carelessness. With which they take control of the wallet and make the fund disappear.

Even so, the media is scaring the world about AI quantum computer might be able to do that in the near future.

They're using it as buzz words to make people fear this technology advancement that we're having.

And as for the human errors, it happens due to the lack of knowledge of the users not only in technical side but also in the most basic level with the information that they read through the bias media. As it can relate to the misinformation of what the media spreads.

Did only saw what CZ shared on X? Hackers are the ones behind Ledger hardware wallet attack.
They managed to confused the Ledger wallet reseller and started switching components in the Ledger hardware wallets.

Hackers are a bigger threat than people thinks, I am even guessing maybe they had something on the Ledger reseller before making him or them bend to their needs, because it doesn't make any sense to me.

Human error is considered mistakes which is something many humans can't completely get rid of but hackers are bigger threat than make and create dangers then use it to their own advantages.

‎For me, human mistakes cause more Bitcoin losses than technical attacks.
‎

We can prevent both human error and technical attacks if we know what we are doing; the more you know, the better you can protect yourself from scams, because hackers can't break in if you don't create a vulnerability. Your knowledge of the Bitcoin network will determine whether your inexperience creates a vulnerability that lets them take advantage of the small chance of gaining access to you.

Of course, when we say to be our own bank, then we are putting everything in our hands. So it is up to us to be really careful with our private keys and seed phrase. And there are a long list on how to practice security, but if you don't follow it then everything is your fault.

However, even if we put our 100% on it, there could be times that the hackers are really that smart and was able to get to us. So I will say that everything is at risk, it doesn't matter if it is human error or just letting our guards down.

Its our responsibility to secure our Bitcoins because in this decentralised ecosystem there is no way to recover your Bitcoins in case they are lost due to any reason. Scammers are getting smarter with every passing day and they are updating their techniques to steal our Bitcoins. All we can do is to keep ourselves updated about latest scams and try to avoid all sort of mistakes while accessing our Bitcoins. Scammers are lucky because majority take security of Bitcoin for granted.

When people are talking about the biggest threat to Bitcoin they usually say it is hackers, exchange being attacked or government restrictions, but what if I tell you the biggest threat are actually the people that are using Bitcoin.
‎
‎hackers may steal Bitcoin by exploiting a vulnerability, but a lot of Bitcoin loss happens because of some simple mistakes that people make, for example, sending Bitcoin to the wrong address, losing seed phrase, falling for phishing scams, exposing private keys and signing a malicious transaction. this are the things that are causing many Bitcoin users to lose there Bitcoin.
I don't see any threat here because all these things can be avoided and controlled. For hacking and scams, one can mostly experience hacking using a custodial exchange, and most people get scammed due to a lack of understanding.

However, if people understand things better, it will be very difficult for them to be victims of scams. This can be considered a threat for newbies and some other people who don't understand how things work, but if you understand Bitcoin very well, these are never a threat.

Hacks and scams, between them which one is bigger in value of lost bitcoins?

First of all, let's read
Lost Bitcoin: 3.7 million bitcoins are probably gone forever.
How much bitcoin is lost forever?
3.7M is a figure, that is estimated, so not all 3.7M bitcoins gone/ lost forever. Some of them will be woken up and circulate in the market in the future.

If anyone can prove that there are more than 3.7M or 4M bitcoins have ever hacked so far, they can convince me that hacks are more dangerous than human mistakes which cause self-lose bitcoins.

You made a very important observation because, Bitcoin users are the only gateway through which anyone can steal Bitcoin at the first place. Vulnerability can be only achieved when individual Bitcoin users don't follow the right step in protecting their Bitcoin. This is the reason why Bitcoin hodlers should take appropriate measures in protecting their Bitcoin.

Human error is one thing that can't be removed but how careful we are will determine, the security of your Bitcoin.  So we should not allow hackers steal  our Bitcoin take responsibility of your Bitcoin because, just as the thread has rightly said the biggest threat to Bitcoin is individual holder's.

I understand it but I would like to consider losses made by human, by themselves without hacks or scams as pure human error as the reason. Maybe I need to use pure human error, because with such mistakes there is no need to be hacked or scammed.

If you made mistakes such as did not make your wallet backups, and the only wallet you created on one device got inaccessible like forgotten password, or the device is broken physically, you will lose that wallet and your bitcoin.

Loss by this type of human error is different than losses because of scams or hacks even they are from human errors initially.
