Why should anything Vitalik says matter? Listening to someone who got rich by creating a centralized shitcoin for even the slightest advice about Bitcoin is stupid. He wrote an extremely long post that nobody is going to read and understand.

As for your question, the general public may not be buying Bitcoin but smart people who have access to this forum are continuing to invest. Global threat is FUD, don't worry about that much.

As long as it is not affecting the Bitcoin market, I don't think there's a panic happening yet. Also, we won't see a boost in buyers just because of that. People and investors are much wiser now, and knowing what a FUD or not is easier thanks to Google and AI. Still, if it's going to happen, then it's going to be. It's difficult to talk about something that is not in reality just yet. There will be years of experiments, trial and error, and a lot of tweaking and upgrades before it happens.
So, we can just stick to what is here, and I believe Bitcoin is still the future. Regarding buyers, I think many of them are waiting for an entry point, and they may not have seen it yet.

It is never possible to accurately predict the price of Bitcoin. In the short term Bitcoin price prediction is even more difficult. And it is not right to think that all Bitcoin holders will make profit. After a long time, the price of Bitcoin continues to increase, but the possibility of a decrease is not completely eliminated. So in fact it is not possible to accurately predict what the price of Bitcoin will be in the future.

However if all the factors can be analyzed so far then it is natural for everyone to think that the price of Bitcoin will increase in the long term. And if there is a real negative issue of Quantum Computing in the future, which has the potential to create problems for the security of Bitcoin, then it will have a negative impact on the entire crypto universe. We can't deny Bitcoin's potential, but let's be real, none of that is guaranteed. And profit depends on your capital, your entry price...and you're right, buying BTC doesn't make anyone rich automatically. For example, people who bought BTC at $69k in 2021 is only up around 20% after 5 years, while those who bought below $20k in 2022 are sitting on much bigger gains.

It would be a huge mistake to think that simply investing in Bitcoin and holding it long term will make you rich.
