PROTEUS ($PRTS)A layer-1 where GPUs are paid for useful AI inference, not for hashes
What is PROTEUSPROTEUS is an independent layer-1 blockchain built on Substrate and derived from the open-source subtensor codebase. Instead of hashing, miners (called experts) run language-model inference on consumer Nvidia GPUs. A router (a validator) sends prompts to the experts, scores their answers and publishes the scores on-chain as weights. Those weights decide how each block's new coins are shared.
The scoring uses semantic similarity, held-out reference answers and trap inputs, so that an expert cannot get paid by answering nothing or by copying. Details are in the whitepaper.

- Genesis allocation: 1,050,000 PRTS (5% of the cap) for bootstrap operations and initial liquidity. The other 95% only exists through emission. There is no other mint path.

Disclosures- Block production currently uses a fixed authority set (Aura/GRANDPA) run by the project, and the project keeps the sudo key. The whitepaper describes how this is meant to be handed over to on-chain governance. It is not decentralized yet.
- The genesis allocation and the 18% treasury share are controlled by the project.
- There is no external audit of the chain or of the bridge.
- The miner software is public on GitHub.
MiningYou need an Nvidia GPU. The install guide is on the website. Rewards come from a fixed emission shared by all paid experts. On 8 Oct 2026, about 9,400 experts shared about 2,960 PRTS per day, roughly 0.3 PRTS each. What that is worth depends on the market price, which is new and thin (see below), so please do not mine expecting a return.
wPRTS on SolanawPRTS is a token on Solana that stands for PRTS, one for one. Send at least 100 PRTS to the bridge from the PROTEUS wallet, with your Solana address, and the same amount of wPRTS arrives in your Solana wallet, usually within a minute. Sending wPRTS back through the form in the same wallet releases the PRTS to a PROTEUS address you choose (minimum 1 wPRTS).

- Supply fixed at 5,000,000 wPRTS. The right to mint more was removed, there is no freeze authority, and the name and symbol are locked.

- Releasing PRTS from the bridge needs 2 of 3 signing keys, and all three are held by the project.
- Market: wPRTS/USDC pool on Meteora, 1% fee, opened around 0.10 USDC. Liquidity is small and one-sided at the start: there is little USDC in the pool, so selling back is limited to what buyers have put in. Prices can move a lot.
Check the token address before any swap, fakes exist for every token.
