Nobody is paying for the discount and that's why they aren't calling it a subsidy, I don't like it, you don't like it, that much we can agree on but sometimes we really need to stop pushing our own narrative in order to make something suddenly seem like what it's not, at the moment we don't know how much of a discount they are going to give but the fact that it will only happen at NNPC pump stations already creates a problem, what about the private stations? If you want to complain then that's what you complain about.
Well said, although the discount is no longer hidden now and it’s about #66/litre which you can only claim by scanning a barcode and downloading an NNPCL app that allows you access to this. Heard it extends for about a week or so.
Don’t know if this is Tinubu’s discount and don’t even care any less about it. I suppose it’s just one means for NNPCL to get people into using their app, a way to have it launched into the market and their isn’t any much difference from this and what we experience with other businesses.
What I don’t like however, is how obligation government owes to the people is made to look like privilege, that’s not okay.
