Atiku has cemented himself as the incumbent's main challenger. No question about it.
What makes it remarkable is how he got here. No five million interviews spent talking himself out of contention. No two billion tweets. No prevarication. No reversal of self on the big issues. No jumping on other people’s ideas whilst claiming never to have had a different position. No headless mob in tow.
As of today, it is Tinubu versus Atiku. All he needs now is for Peter Obi to step down for him.
From the onset, it was always there that Peter Obi is not a strong contender for Tinubu and would not win the election despite his campaigns. If Tinubu could win the election the first time with all the rigging, how much more when he is the sitting president. Tinubu made it clear before the first presidential election that it's his turn and nobody can change that, it's an 8 years rule as the president.
We could only vote our favorite candidate and leave the rest for the corrupt politicians to decide their winners, we as citizens have little or no privilege to make our votes count.
