🚀 Introducing AZminer v1.2.3

AZminer is a lightweight, native NVIDIA GPU miner designed for high performance, power efficiency, and reliable 24/7 operation.

It supports two proof-of-work algorithms:

  • Pearl (PRL) — pearlhash
  • Quantus (QTC) — qpow-poseidon2

AZminer runs as a standalone native executable without requiring Python, WSL, virtual environments, or additional runtime dependencies.

The mining software combines optimized CUDA computation with GPU management, pool connectivity, hardware monitoring, thermal protection, and automatic recovery features.

More Hashrate. Less Overhead. Better Efficiency.

🔥 What's New in AZminer v1.2.3?

⚡ Quantus (QTC) — Up to 5% Higher Hashrate

AZminer v1.2.3 introduces a new performance improvement for the Quantus qpow-poseidon2 algorithm.

  • Up to 5% higher Quantus mining performance compared with v1.2.2
  • Improved GPU computation throughput
  • Support for NVIDIA RTX 30, RTX 40, and RTX 50 series GPUs
  • Native CUDA execution with low CPU and memory overhead
  • Existing pool, GPU tuning, monitoring, and protection features retained

The performance improvement targets Quantus mining. Actual gains depend on GPU model, operating conditions, driver version, and power configuration.

Pearl (PRL) mining remains supported.

📊 AZminer NVIDIA GPU Performance

AZminer has been measured on 22 desktop NVIDIA GPU models across three generations:

  • RTX 30 Series: 8 GPU models
  • RTX 40 Series: 8 GPU models
  • RTX 50 Series: 6 GPU models

The table below shows measured AZminer v1.2.2 performance on the Parano1d workload.

Important: These are measured v1.2.2 baseline results, not direct v1.2.3 measurements. The new Quantus performance improvement is not applied mathematically to these figures because results can vary across hardware.

Benchmark notes:

  • Results were collected on real desktop NVIDIA GPUs.
  • Each measurement included 60 seconds of warm-up followed by 210 seconds of monitoring.
  • Measurements were sampled at five-second intervals.
  • No clock, voltage, fan, or power-limit modifications were applied during testing.
  • CPU percentages represent process CPU usage, with 100% corresponding to one full CPU core.
  • RTX 4060 power telemetry was unavailable.
  • Some tests encountered pool-rejected shares, so the figures should be treated as performance measurements rather than complete share-correctness validation.

Actual performance depends on GPU hardware, drivers, cooling, power limits, and system configuration.

🧠 Lightweight Native Architecture

AZminer is designed to keep system overhead low while maintaining high GPU utilization.

Across the 22-GPU benchmark set, AZminer recorded:

Code:
Average CPU usage:     ~0.51%
Average process RSS:   ~131 MiB
GPU models tested:     22
GPU generations:       Ampere / Ada / Blackwell

This lightweight architecture is useful for:

  • Multi-GPU mining rigs
  • CPU-constrained mining systems
  • Remote mining servers
  • Dedicated Linux miners
  • Windows workstations
  • HiveOS installations

AZminer executes mining computations directly through CUDA and does not require a separate interpreter or background runtime.

✨ Key Features

⚡ Dual-Algorithm Mining

One native miner supports both Pearl and Quantus.

Switch algorithms by changing the mining algorithm, pool endpoint, and wallet.

-fanmin      Minimum fan speed
-fanmax      Maximum fan speed
-tmax        Temperature cap

🌡 Thermal Protection

Automatically pause and resume mining when configured GPU temperature thresholds are reached.

Code:
-tstop       Pause temperature threshold
-tstart      Resume temperature threshold

🔁 Automatic Pool Failover

Configure a primary mining pool and a backup endpoint.

Code:
-pool2
-wal2

💰 Developer Fee

AZminer uses a transparent developer fee for both supported algorithms.

Code:
Pearl (PRL)       2%
Quantus (QTC)     2%

The fee is implemented through a short periodic switch to the developer wallet.

🚀 Quick Start

Windows

1. Download the Windows package from the official GitHub releases page.
2. Extract the archive.
3. Open the appropriate launcher:

Code:
start-pearl.bat
start-quantus.bat

4. Replace the wallet placeholder with your mining wallet address.
5. Save the file and launch the miner.

Linux — Pearl

Code:
./azminer -a pearl
  -o stratum+tcp://prl.kryptex.network:7048
  -u WALLET.worker

Linux — Quantus

Code:
./azminer -a quantus
  -o stratum+tcp://qtc.kryptex.network:7049
  -u WALLET.worker

Replace WALLET with your actual wallet address.

The commands above use Kryptex pool endpoints as examples. AZminer can connect to other compatible Stratum mining pools.

Linux Requirements

Code:
Architecture: x86_64
GLIBC:        2.28 or newer
GPU:          Supported NVIDIA GPU
Driver:       Compatible NVIDIA driver

HiveOS

AZminer provides a custom-miner integration package.

Example flight-sheet configuration:

Code:
Miner:       Custom
Miner name:  azminer
Algorithm:   pearl / quantus
Wallet:      wallet.worker
Pool URL:    host:port

The HiveOS integration can report hashrate, temperature, fan information, shares, and GPU bus numbers.

🔐 Download Integrity & Verification

Download AZminer exclusively from the official release repository:

https://github.com/azminer-app/azminer/releases

Verify downloaded files against the SHA-256 checksums published with the corresponding release.

On Linux:

Code:
sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS

AZminer also provides a compiled mining-kernel integrity self-test:

Code:
azminer --integrity-selftest

The integrity self-test checks the compiled mining kernels before normal mining operation.

📈 Benchmark Methodology

AZminer performance testing is based on real NVIDIA GPU hardware rather than simulated results.

The recent desktop GPU measurement set used:

  • 22 desktop GPUs across RTX 30, RTX 40, and RTX 50 families
  • Real rented GPU hardware
  • 60-second warm-up periods
  • 210-second measurement periods
  • Five-second telemetry sampling
  • Unmodified GPU clock and power configurations during each measurement
  • Hashrate, CPU, memory, temperature, and power monitoring where available

The measured values provide a useful baseline for users evaluating their own hardware.

For the most accurate results, benchmark your own GPU with your actual cooling, power limits, driver version, and mining configuration.
