Greetings to all.

My name is Amara Bell. I am 45 years old. I live in Lagos, Nigeria. Today is my first day on this forum. To be honest, when I came here, I couldn't figure out what to write first, how to introduce myself. Later, I thought, let's start with some things from my life. Because there have been times in my life that still make me think about a lot when I remember them. I came from a very ordinary family. Even if I say ordinary, it may not be fully understood. My mother worked in other people's houses. And my father worked as a coal miner. Both of them worked very hard. But even after working so hard, it was not easy to meet all the needs of the family properly. Even if I wanted a lot when I was young, I couldn't get it. Of course, I didn't understand everything then. I only understood how much my parents were suffering for us.

I still haven't forgotten those times in my life. Today, I am in a much better situation. But that doesn't mean that the path to get here was easy. I had to go through a lot of difficult times. I had to learn a lot. Sometimes I have wondered about my decision, and sometimes I have wondered whether I will be able to do what I want to do at all.

Now I have my own ten-story building in Lagos. I also run a few businesses. But business and property are not everything to me. I have also built an old age home on my own initiative. My elderly parents are taken care of there. In fact, I have a special attraction to the elderly because I saw my own parents suffer when I was a child. I want at least some people to get a little care and love at the end of their lives.

Anyway, I have talked a lot about my life. Now, let me tell you how I came here.

I first learned about this forum from one of my small sisters. I had heard the name of Bitcoin before, but I never tried to learn it seriously. My sister explained a lot about Bitcoin to me. She also told me what people discuss in this forum, how they learn from each other. To be honest, I never thought that I would start learning something new again at the age of 45. But my sister's words made me curious. She explained everything to me. Still, I think it's not possible to learn everything from one person. Maybe there are many things I still don't know, which I can learn from you here.

At least one thing I've realized while doing business is that it's not like you can make good decisions just by having money in your hand. Especially in matters where I have no experience, it's not right to make a decision without understanding it. That's why I don't want to rush into Bitcoin. I want to know better first.

Here are a few questions I have for you. As a new member, what should I learn first? Would it be better to start with a discussion or article to get a proper idea about Bitcoin? And what mistakes do newbies usually make that I should be careful of? I know that there are people here who are much younger than me, who have much more experience with Bitcoin than me. I have no problem learning from them. Because I don't believe in people who know everything when they get older.

I may have introduced myself a little too much in this first post of mine. Actually, I didn't want to just ask you questions as a complete stranger. So I told you a little about myself. I hope I can learn something good here and gradually participate in the discussion. If any of you can give me a link to a topic that is useful for beginners, it will be of great help to me.

Thank you all for reading my words.

You can get your hands on all the information you need on these thread, within them you will find links to other useful threads for newbies who don't know their way around the forum yet, though I would assume your small sister would have shown you to these threads already, telling you about the forum is just one part, she should have made sure you got access to the rules and regulations of not just the local board but the entire forum so you don't start with mistakes.
