I believe that profit is the most important factor in trading. Not feelings or any life goals, as in The Wolf of Wall Street. Only the monetary result in numbers. If you're a trader and you trade well, it doesn't matter whether the market is in your favor.
You have money, you're a winner.
Making profit is the goal but this should not be the goal of a beginner, we all want to make profit which is actually the whole essence of trading but if a beginner prioritizes this it actually causes more harm than good in the long run. What some traders need to focus on is making sure they are on the right track first before thinking about winning.
And as the saying goes, "winners are never judged." And the theory of probability is such that if you're lucky now, it doesn't mean you won't be lucky in the future. Past experience doesn't count as luck.
People are only interested in the results you get that's quite true but there are traders that make profit not because they took a trade out of doing proper research, they took a position and hoped to get lucky and they did. Luck is not sustainable in trading, it happens once in a while but depending on it is dangerous.
