I won't make money holding Bitcoin anymore, this is acceptable but Bitcoin will them turned into my USDT, many people panics when they hear some rumours about USDT calling for depegging out of nowhere, Bitcoin will atleast fix that and in short merchants around the world will want to accept and use Bitcoin even more because some are complaining that the volatility side of Bitcoin is why it's hard to accept it as means of payment.

Bitcoin has its value and price, it does not depeg. Only stablecoins have pegs with fiat currencies and might possibly have depegs. USDT is one of stablecoins but it's a biggest stablecoin and in history, USDT has less depegs than other stablecoins. It's right to be fearful about stablecoin depegs and possibility of losing your money with stablecoins and depeg incidents. However, even I am not a fan of storing money in stablecoins, if people choose stablecoins for that risky purpose, USDT is still one of their best choices. Stable coins: a deep dive into valuation and depegging. It can be downloaded.

I think you're trying to describe a point where Bitcoin enters what are colloquially called "the bed" or a "horizontal trend"—though terms like "low-volatility phase" or "prolonged consolidation phase" are more accurate, since no asset actually enters a phase where its price remains completely unchanged. In any case, many people—even if it doesn't look like it—"HODL" Bitcoin simply because they want to own it; being part of it holds its own intangible value. (ihmo/by fM)

I will still keep some amounts for the next generation because they can use it for their lives. At least, they can prepare from the situation and sells it if they need more money.
The other amount will convert into stablecoin so I can use it for helping my daily needs just in case if I need more money. I choose to hodling BTC no matter the price fixed like a stablecoin because who knows the situation change and the price can rise high.
It is a choice so we can't say which is better because we have different situation.

One of the reasons why Bitcoin is so popular is that the Bitcoin market is volatile. This volatility of Bitcoin is why people invest in Bitcoin and hold it, not just hold it, but plan to hold it for the long term. If Bitcoin was stable forpeople would never hold it for the long term. It's not about people. I myself wouldn't hold Bitcoin if it were a stable coin because just like I don't hold USDT now, I wouldn't hold Bitcoin if it were a stable coin.

Stablecoins aren’t the answer for people who want to use digital currency as a store of value. Prices go up and down—I think stablecoins do too. Price may not be the top priority, but it’s a strong reason why I’m still with Bitcoin today. If Bitcoin were like a stablecoin, I personally wouldn’t hold or store it anymore because I wouldn’t see the point in doing so—I’d look for something else that serves my purpose of hedging.

I don't think Bitcoin price situation will be the same as stablecoins. One logical reason is Bitcoin radical structure. Bitcoin is a decentralized digital asset with a limited supply, so demand will continue to rise, and as demand increases, the price is likely to increase in the future. If Bitcoin price stabilizes like stablecoins, I personally would continue to accumulate Bitcoin regularly through discretionary income because there will be no fixed price in the future. Due to its structural characteristics, Bitcoin price will skyrocket in the future. Even if the price falls for a while or several years, it will recover to its previous value.

The question is how many people are holding Stablecoins, anyone holding stablecoins is probably doing it because they just want to save money in fiat. Bitcoin is such a special asset and we can’t take volatility away from Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, well if the price of bitcoin is fixed as a stable coins I don’t see any reason why I should be holding bitcoin for a long term, most people are holding bitcoin because they have hope of ending up with profits. However I can be holding some bitcoins for short term considering decentralization where I can be saving money as bitcoin, privacy is very much important, I don’t have to go to the local bank to get myself stressed, but holding for long periods of time might be impossible, short term is something that would be possible.

If Bitcoin was a stablecoin I probably wouldnt have got into it when I did in 2016/2017 but then I would be missing out on everything else too.
Decentralised and consensus based rule of change Permissionless Borderless Secure network Limited and capped supply
While Bitcoins volatile market is regularly quoted as being a major negativity, ita also what attracts most people because of the price growth over time but this is all built on the points above.
So I would like to think I would still be attracted to Bitcoin without the volatility.

I would probably be holding more ETH because if BTC is stable then I will want to make profit elsewhere, maybe ETH or BNB? But I can't deny the fact that BTC will be the perfect banking solution for many people. The instability in price action is why many stores don't want to deal with Bitcoin, the few I used accept stablecoins more than BTC, I guess they just don't want to deal with Volatility. If BTC is stable many businesses will consider accepting Bitcoin as payment solutions, and I myself will prefer to store all my money in BTC, it will definitely be a better USD.

If Bitcoin is less volatile and more stable, people won't take it as seriously as an investment. There are some people who would prefer it to be stable, as it could make it more appealing to people who dislike volatility, because some people don't want to be an investors because of how much Bitcoin's price fluctuates. Which they could feel more comfortable adopting Bitcoin without worrying as much about the price fluctuations merchants as you have said. Although Bitcoin's stability would bring greater trust and comfort, but that doesn't mean Bitcoin will change its original form because that's the beauty.

Sure, plenty of us would still be drawn to Bitcoin and keep using it for those other use cases. But tbh, I bet Bitcoin wouldn't be anywhere near as popular or widely adopted as it is today if it were stable and only used for its original purpose. Truth is , the demand for privacy and censorship resistant money just isn't as high as we tend to think . A lot of Bitcoin's appeal these days still comes from its upside and the chance to make serious money , not just from its core features.

Will I? Bitcoin can never be like stable coin, but let me pack my bags and baggages and visit your fantasy world for a moment, wouldn't stay there long I guess Don't think it is because of the price that many of us are into bitcoin. So if bitcoin is stable I will still go for it because it has lots of things to offer me. It is cna protect the value of my money for as long as I decide to keep it in bitcoin. It is also decentralized, hell yeah I can even hold it for as long as I can without needing permission for it. Nobody even get to decide how much I am allowed to own, any decisions about my stash is mine alone to make . This is just a tip of the iceberg of what makes bitcoin valuable to me above just the price alone . I will also like my descendants to benefit from this Am happy to now be back from the fantasy

It depends on what its price is fixed to. If it is fixed to dollar, euro, pounds, I can not buy it. If it is fixed with gold, I can buy it. But I like how bitcoin is not fixed to anything, it makes it very unique as people are adopting it. The uniqueness that I am talking about is how decentralized and censorship resistant it is.

A fixed-price bitcoin, acting like a stablecoin, contradicts the very idea of bitcoin. It is a tall tale. Okay, let’s assume this has become possible. But what would be the point of holding bitcoin, given its stablecoin-like properties? Using this asset - say, for short-term storage, transactions, or as a means of payment - might be acceptable. But holding it long-term? And even passing it on to future generations? What would they get from such an "inheritance"? Money that has lost its value - just in digital form. An asset like bitcoin with a fixed price can't be used to accumulate or store "value". In that scenario, inflation would erode its worth completely. It is a good thing that this is merely an "imaginary" scenario and that such a thing is impossible.

Don't think it is because of the price that many of us are into bitcoin.
From what I've seen, both IRL and on the forum, every time Bitcoin comes up it's all about price and profit, way more than any utility. So tbh I think it'd be a bit hypocritical to say making money isn't a top priority for us. So if bitcoin is stable I will still go for it because it has lots of things to offer me. It is cna protect the value of my money for as long as I decide to keep it in bitcoin. It is also decentralized, hell yeah I can even hold it for as long as I can without needing permission for it. Yeah, people can still use Bitcoin to store their wealth instead of keeping their money in a bank. But if they come across another investment with better upside, they'll leave Bitcoin without a second thought.

If Bitcoin is stable, then it is not far from what is called a stablecoin, although the blockchain technology is indeed different. I think it would be very boring to see BTC at a stable price. Next, many users might move to blockchains with instability. If you hold Bitcoin but its value will remain constant, then that is not a guarantee of storing value against inflation. Because its value never changes while other needs increase, it will fail to store value. But if the value always rises, then it aligns with being a store of value. IMO

Well i could still hold some BTC but i probably would not keep accumulating at the same rate if it’s price was guaranteed to never increase or decrease.
Of course bitcoin’s utility might justify the need to hold it, but its potential to appreciate over time is a major reason why me and many other folks invest in it. So pretending like the potential price appreciation of bitcoin plays no role at all in our decisions would be a dishonest thing to say or do.

Will you still be holding BTC if the price is fixed like a Stablecoin? The point of Bitcoin is to protect yourself from arbitrary inflation caused by central banks. If Bitcoin price ever becomes fixed for prolonged periods of time, when measured against a perpetually debasing fiat shitcoin, then that's a signal that the Bitcoin experiment has failed. So no, I wouldn't hold Bitcoin if it failed at primarily the problem it is designed to solve. I would rather hold something that solves this problem instead.

Will you still be holding BTC if the price is fixed like a Stablecoin?
To be honest, of course I still save and invest in Bitcoin, the point is you can't equate Bitcoin and Stablecoins, they are like land and the sky is very different. Honestly, I never imagined or thought Bitcoin would remain the same price as Stablecoins. The reasons are simple and have all been explained in the Bitcoin and Stablecoin book. 1. Determining Value (Valuation)
• Bitcoin (BTC): Its value is purely determined by market mechanisms based on the law of supply and demand, macroeconomic conditions and global sentiment. • Stablecoin: Its value is kept stable by using a peg system against a real asset, such as a fiat currency (e.g. US Dollar) or a commodity such as gold.
2. Volatility Level
• Bitcoin: Highly volatile. The price can rise or fall significantly in a short time. • Stablecoin: Designed to have a stable price and minimal volatility (for example 1 USDT or 1 USDC is equivalent to around 1 US Dollar).
3. Main Function
• Bitcoin: Generally used as a long-term investment instrument, store of value, hedge, or treasury asset. • Stablecoins: More often used for daily transaction needs, payments, money transfers (settlements), and maintaining liquidity in the crypto market without having to cash it back into a bank account.
4. Issuer and Risk Structure
• Bitcoin: Does not have a central issuing entity (issuer) or physical asset reserves behind it. The main risks come from market price fluctuations and personal storage risk (custody risk). • Stablecoin: Issued by a specific party (centralized like Tether/Circle) or via a decentralized protocol. The main risks include the risk of failure of the issuer (issuer risk), asset reserve problems (reserve), as well as the risk of losing the value benchmark (depeg).
From the points I quoted above, it is quite clear and honestly your argument is completely wrong, you cannot compare Bitcoin and Stablecoins. I deliberately cited the differences between Bitcoin and Stablecoins, so that in the future you will no longer compare the two.
