Why crypto currency should be made part of our educational curriculum, the next phase of Crypto Adoption and the younger generation of Crypto Adopters.
For so long cryptocurrency adoption has been largely driven by price, trading, speculation, financial opportunities which crypto currency tends to offer's. And this has not help the crypto currency space, we should look beyond these peripheral and should focus more on tomorrow. The next step when it comes to crypto and its adoption should geared towards something foundamental which should be Information and Education. as information and education are key foundamentals when it comes to crypto education. Every year we have millions of people who are going into the crypto space but, sadly many of these people still don't have sufficient knowledge about how Bitcoin works, and how blockchain transactions operates and are verified, and how to protect their digital assets. if this is true then we are to answer this very important equation among ourselves. can we really attain a successful crypto adoption without first educating and informing ourselves about what crypto currency is all about. hence the need for cryptocurrency to be inculporated into the educational curriculum of countries for effective adoption of Crypto currency which will be knowledge based beyond just Making money off crypto currency. It be noted that when a thing is thought early in the life of the young ones that thing tends to stay and last longer which will help that young one understands it better when they grow up.
Why Crypto Education Matters
Financial Literacy When crypto currency education is inculporated into the educational curriculum of schools from a your age, it will help students appriciates what financial education is, digital wallets, decentralisation, blockchain technology and help tell the difference between traditional financial systems and blockchain technology. Protection Against Scams when it comes to crypto currency.there are fundamental which individuals in the sector must have hence the need for crypto currency education. Because people needs to know what private keys are what they do and the need to protecting your seed phrases. how your crypto investment can be threatened via phishing attacks hence the need to know what phishing attract is, with the view to protecting your investment. anyone with this type of knowledge will be very careful of the type of sites or links that they will click when ever they are online, financial education will help the young once know what Ponzi schemes are and the need not to get involved in such schemes as their are alot of fake platforms with the guise of investment.
Future Career Opportunities It should be noted that Blockchain technology has grown past just cryptocurrency investing and trading only because, blockchain technology has helped create career opportunities in areas such as cryptograph, software development, cybersecurity, financial technology which these young ones can grow up and embrace.
Responsible Financial Decisions Crypto education will teach teach students about what respondible financial decision making is in relation volatility and speculation. what it means to management risk because crypto currency education will help students make informed decision as the goal is not necessarily to bring people into crypto currency.
Why Start in Schools.
Education can help build a generation that understands cryptocurrency before entering the market. This will help shape the next generation of people know and appriciates what crypto currency is before even ever going into the market, with this the next generation of those going into crypto currency will have an edge, this is very important because it will help students acquire basic knowledge and information through a formal educational setting which will be included in the educational curriculum Imagine a curriculum where students learn the fundamentals of money, blockchain technology, cryptography, digital security, and decentralised systems. This type of a system will help develop citizens which will be more digitally informed, this will help students have a balanced education when it comes to cryptocurrency because, it will inculcate in students the regulatory framework which guides crypto currency, the risk factors involved and the possible limitations and even benefits that comes with it.

That would be a revolutionary idea if the government agreed to it and added it to the school syllabus. However, there are still countries where crypto is not viewed positively, so convincing them would be difficult. If it can be approved, then future users will be well informed and knowledgeable about crypto. They will not see it as gambling rather, it will be a new technology for them that allows them to protect themselves and avoid being part of any Ponzi schemes.

Which cryptocurrencies are you referring to? Aside from Bitcoin, almost all cryptocurrencies should be approached with caution; those lacking financial or investment knowledge should avoid investing in them. In general, however, I agree that it is necessary to include this topic as part of the school curriculum.

Just as the the discipline of economic crisis. An economic crisis is something of a golden age for savvy investors, as some assets become undervalued by orders of magnitude. The disciplines of both cryptocurrencies and economic crises create an excellent synergy.

We have more than 1000+ cryptocurrency in the world and no one can learn all of them. Only if you are talking about bitcoin because it's only bitcoin that is qualified to be taught in schools since, it is now part of the world. A currency and a long term asset at the same time.
It's only El Salvador that has implemented this since, they are far ahead of other countries on implementing the study of bitcoin by the citizens. Other country government should emulate El Salvador.

It is not necessary for cryptocurrency or bitcoin to be in the school curriculum. If it should be in the curriculum, what we need to ask ourselves is whether it will be compulsory or not. If it is, it makes no sense because knowing about bitcoin should be a matter of choice and not something people are forced into. Whether in school or not, people will still become aware of bitcoin and understand it. A few years back, when bitcoin was still emerging, some people had the idea that more awareness and understanding of bitcoin was needed and needs to be in the school curriculum, but now it is more popular, and people are gaining knowledge of it even without schools. There are good platforms, like this forum, to learn about bitcoin, where people share ideas and learn more.

If you study and focus only on what is already famous, widely accepted, and "part of the world," you will always remain a step behind—you will always be a man of yesterday

OP what do you mean by crypto education should be added to educational curriculum? What do you want to teach about cryptocurrency in a higher institution of learning? What if after learning about cryptocurrency as an educational curriculum and I invest in one of the cryptocurrency and run into losses? For the fact that there are financial courses in an educational curriculum doesn't mean that anything relating to finance or investment should also be taught in an academic institution. Future Career Opportunities It should be noted that Blockchain technology has grown past just cryptocurrency investing and trading only because, blockchain technology has helped create career opportunities in areas such as cryptograph, software development, cybersecurity, financial technology which these young ones can grow up and embrace.
You don't need these things to be in a school curriculum for you to learn and know about them. You can even learn them as a skill. There are professionals who can give you a broad knowledge and understanding about everything you mentioned.

Alot of things are changing in the world. There are lots of technological advancements that when you take a look at the the curriculum of high schools in some countries, you will agree with me that some schools or countries are still teaching their children topics that have now become outdated or topics that are not taking note of current technological changes.
Crypto and the blockchain technology is an advancement in finance technology. Even though the government is going to argue that cryptocurrencies are not recognised by their government or that cryptocurrencies are tools used by criminals, they should not have any reason not to introduce blockchain technology, cryptography and other related technological skills to these children.
Knowledge of these will not only be relevant to Bitcoin or altcoins, it will be relevant in other fields too. If these young people have knowledge of these, understanding cryptocurrencies will not be difficult. They can decide later in life if they want to invest in cryptocurrencies or not.

Rather than making “crypto” part of the educational curriculum, I think it’d be better to teach the Blockchain technology instead.
The crypto industry is going to evolve and the most fundamental thing the young generation needs to learn should be “the blockchain” and by teaching them about the technology according to their level of assimilation, they’d learn about cryptocurrencies along the way.
Btw, most of the important financial literacy you need to know aren’t taught in school..

I don't agree if the crypto curriculum is included in education, especially from elementary school to high school, forcing students to learn directly into the crypto world will have many negative impacts, because crypto is often associated with investment and trading and everything makes money, making students too focused and they will not focus on other subjects, and there are still many other negative sides, gambling, trading and accidentally wanting to cheat also with crypto, but if it is included in universities I strongly agree because the final stage of education is looking for career opportunities, so focusing on crypto is not a problem at all

I don’t think crypto should be put in the education curriculum, but I do think that people need way more financial education. I think with more financial education the need for crypto and more specifically bitcoin becomes very clear. Inflation could quite possibly be mankind‘s largest challenge in the coming years.

I quite agree that cryptocurrency and blockchain should be included in the educational curriculum. After all, cryptocurrency can already be considered a part of modern finance, and understanding it can help students get to know what cryptocurrency and blockchain technology really are.
The only thing that needs to be emphasized is solidifying students' understanding of financial literacy before they get introduced to it. How can students be forced to understand cryptocurrency when they don't even have a basic understanding of how money works or what the traditional financial system is. Students should first learn the fundamentals, and only then can they be introduced to topics like that.

I 100% agree with you. Aside from I doubt that countries are willingly want to add crypto into an educational curriculums, there are many problems that countries are facing and the most common problem majority of the country has is inflation. Financial education is what everyone of us need but unfortunately not everyone had an experience learning it from a school unless those who took financial college courses. I never experienced being taught about financial education on every schools I took. I become a financial literate on my own way, I did self study by reading books and applying it practically on my daily life. On our current time, I think that crypto/bitcoin/blockchain education is only possible if it is taken as a lesson on a higher education, not by adding it into a whole curriculum or taken it as a subject. I believe that we are not ready yet for a crypto only subject at school and I highly doubt that any educational department would want this without them being equipped with the right knowledge. I might be on the opposing side but I honestly don't think it's practical, at least on third world countries. But for me it is more practical to learn financial education first especially on middle to higher education.

If you invest in cryptocurrency only with the hope of making money, there will be a possibility of losing. Before investing, it is necessary to have proper knowledge about investment. If you know well about cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin, and how it works, it is possible to profit from investment. There are many investors who do not care about knowing. Later, when they lose everything, they start blaming. Bitcoin has currently created a huge demand worldwide. There is no alternative to gaining knowledge about this. Education makes people experienced in a certain subject. It gives knowledge about that subject. The more education a person has, the more he knows. If children are taught about Bitcoin from a young age, they will understand how Bitcoin works and how to hold it or invest in it. Why can there be losses if you invest here. Which wallets are the safest for holding Bitcoin. It will be easy to get an idea about all the issues related to cryptocurrency. Telling someone about Bitcoin is not the end of the responsibility, without giving him proper idea about it, he will definitely lose his investment. There are many investors who do not know how to secure their wallets. Even if someone gives a guarantee about Bitcoin, it cannot be given. If the investor does not know about it, then he will rather lose. If the government of the country makes arrangements to teach Bitcoin education to the children of that country in their curriculum from a young age, then the citizens of that country will gain a lot of good knowledge about Bitcoin. And if it is not possible to arrange this, then at least providing special education on this subject would be very useful.

And here we are, an actually illiterate person telling others what we should include in a curriculum... And he makes this about education and financial literacy! How in the name of god it happen that most of the topics telling people what to do and how to do and giving every form of advice possible, are from guys who have zero clue what they are talking about and that should go back to kindergarten with the actual knowledge they have! when it comes to crypto currency.there are fundamental which individuals in the sector must have hence the need for crypto currency education. Did you have a stroke while writing this?

Do I even see crypto as just one good application of blockchain?? but I’m still thinking about blockchain if it is a real revolution, but hope you understand that even in most of this agree to teach crypto they will be somehow teaching students how to trade or chase a lot of price, which in my opinion I will likely say it too risky, but teaching blockchain technology is likely teaching actual infrastructure and how the decentralization system works, and also how smart contracts work, and how data security works so it should really be a good one for students to learn….

I agree, but I think DLT or Distributed Ledger Technology should be the one put into the educational curriculum. This way student can identify the difference between cryptocurrencies and the advantages of each DLT technology. From here, they have the option of what to master among the DLT Technologies (it is quite boring if the study is linear). This way they will have a better understanding of cryptocurrency. It is also good to put cryptocurrency economics into the curriculum.

As a subject to be introduced into educational curricullum, I prefer it is called financial education or something with a broader meaning that covers cryptocurrency, blockchain technology and other related skills and it be updated from time to time, than just called crypto or blockchain technology. I feel that there is a need to know more than just investing in cryptocurrency, people also need to learn how to manage the money when it comes as a profit from the investments made, and also the other opportunities.

For a course in college, yes. Actually there are uni and colleges doing some. But for lower education like high school, financial literacy subject is the most important. I see its not being learned or taught even on college student, idk why. It's also explain why only very few knows investment. Mostly knows after work graduates or only after experiencing some bad thing, like scammed or what lmao
