Looks like talks are happening between Amir Khan's camp and Manny's camp about a possible fight.

Amir Khan seems to be willing to fight Pacquiao, but he said it won't be happening in the Fury vs Joshua fight, as he thinks he won't be ready on Dec 11. I think another location and the possible payout have already been proposed to him since he said "I've seen some numbers which I’m happy with and I’ve seen a location which I’m happy with". For anyone curious, there were rumours going around that Pacquiao could be fighting as an undercard in Joshua vs Fury, and Amir Khan is one of the possible boxers he was supposed to fight.

I'm really curious to see Pacquiao fight Khan, because from what I've read about Khan, he is fast with his hands and his footwork, and I'm curious how Pacquiao will fare against someone like him.

It's going to be all for money then. He's rich but when election is coming in the Philippines, we usually see him have that fight or even just after it. He's good to retire but as long as there are opportunities to make some money, he'll still grab it until he can. There's no any other reason for him to fight at this point. He better train the new fighters then so that they can follow his path. And even if he losses this match, it won't be counted anymore and it's not a big thing for him to have an additional win/loss for his record.

He always says that it is his passion for the sports of boxing that pushed him to fight but i think there's also this money factor. We couldn't deny the fact that whenever he fights there will always these big sponsors backing him and in the end he always gets massive purse.

Though there is no final deal on the Amir Khan fight but i think this won't happen in the Fury-Joshua undercard because of time constraint as both boxers need ample time to prepare.

Amir Khan is not a youngster anymore as he is already 39 years old though younger than Manny Pacquiao but he is very beatable because he has weak chin.

I’m a little surprised that Manny Pacquiao is still fighting. Last I heard he was addicted to cocaine and struggling to get by but maybe I’m thinking of someone else? I’m also surprised that if he is still able to book big fights, that there are people out there who would still line up to pay to see him fight.

You do know that Manny has been fighting and the crowd still loves him, so for him, why not take this opportunity.
Besides, boxing is entertainment, so even if he is old as long as he can still entertain the crowd, let the old man do his thing.

He's probably not looking for anything. But if some kind of entertainment, a reason to remain active, a fight to challenge his condition and quench his warrior thirst, plus a good amount of money are offered in a single package, why should he say no?

Apparently, the man can't stay put. He's always on to something. It seems the man is a legend not just inside the boxing ring but also in terms of how to live life. He pursued boxing, playing and coaching basketball, business, politics, acting, singing, religious preaching, and so many others. He's good in pool, darts, chess, and other sports, too.

If this fight happens, Manny might have a slight advantage in the odds. Just like bisdak40 said, Amir has a chin of glass.

I don't think that it's about the financial negotiations, everyone wanted to face the legend because they are going to get the biggest paycheck of their lives. That's why fighters like Rolly Romero, or even Ryan Garcia wanted to face Manny.

I reckon that the camp of Manny and no offense to his fans as I'm also a big fan of Manny, they want to get a tailor made fighter for Manny to look good and win. They almost did it against Barrios as he is the weakest champion during that time. And just imagine Manny winning that fight, he might have face the likes of Ryan Garcia and other good 147 lbs.

If everything is not a setup, then definitely, Manny should win easy here and by a knockout. Yes, Amir Khan is washed up boxer and I thought that his domestic fight with Kell Brook is one and done for him. They used to be domestic rivals and so it make sense that it will close the book of both of them.

For Manny, he could still be chasing another belt at his point. We can't fathom what's the reason for him to make a come back. He might want to proved to his fans that he still has it. However, he is too old to be competitive at this point.

I think that is the right thing to do because they are just protecting Manny given that he is already old although he can still fight.
At least if they fight, it won't be an exhibition fight, so we can be assured that it's a real competition.

Manny's age has alot of draw backs for him and that is the point. At 47, he might be stressing himself with a 39 years old. However, it is not a real fight but to fulfill the unfinished discussion and business they had long ago because they have been friends from the same trainer but fans still want to see how friends will go after each other. I think the money is still important for both boxers and to keep their fans alive. I still like Manny's enthusiasm and move at the ring.

This is like third of fourth fight I read Pacman will be having this year First it was Provodnikov, then Shakur Stevenson, then it was a rematch with Mayweather. Now Amir Khan. Is Pacquiao competing with Mayweather in who is going to make more next fight announcements? Because Floyd has also been saying he will fight this and that.

If Pacman really need money and is missing real boxing in his life, then why not make Pacman vs Mayweather 2 for real. That one fight will give both good money, and that is the fight everyone will want to watch. Make it one and for real, instead of hyping in media about my-next-big-fight numerous times.

Both fighters are fast and quick in their prime, and they're both exciting and fun to watch.However, Pacquiao's punches has way more power than Khan, and he's also durable.
Not too evident if you look at their KO percentage their entire career, but Khan had most of his KO wins at lower weight division early in his career, as he climbs higher division and fought elite fighters, his KO rate dropped significantly.
While Manny had been consistently KOing fighters while climbing up divisions. Not only that, he had been absorbing punches from bigger fighters.

I think, at this point of their career, I can say Khan has a greater chances of winning against Manny than when they were still both in their primes.

Amir Khan's so washed, and he got bullied by Kell Brook. I think Manny can knock him out easily. I can't see him as a serious fight if you ask him. It's more like this fight being proposed as a fun fight only.
He has no longer chin, and i doubt he can even give a fight for 50 years old Manny.

Nevertheless if this fight is going to happen, i will go for Manny because Khan is no longer having speed and power. His timing is also so bad. He takes this job due to the $$$$
This is just the same fun fight like when he fought Canelo, Crawford,and Kell Brook.

It seems Pacman is still far from official retirement as he are still having some bouts with some boxers. But its quite unusual for pacman to be on Undercard fight rather than main event. If this rumors are true then its gonna be looks like Pacman is after the pay out even the fight is just an undercard match up. Ofcourse we know that Amir Khan is happy with the figures but lets assume Pacman still got the bigger payout here.  Curious too if he will still have higher pay compared to the main events players.

the most interesting thing about this fight is that both men are fast even though they don't use their speed in exactly the same way. Khan can throw quick combinations and move around the ring pretty well, while Pacquiao is very good at attacking from different angles and catching opponents when they least expect it. The problem for Khan is that speed alone doesn't win a fight. It's like being the faster runner but still getting caught because you took the wrong route. fighting outside their prime always look like a showbiz.

The age difference is much but then in such fights experience could outweigh energy, Pacquiao could have the day like you said, what I think will hinder the face off between Khan and Many pacquiao in the 11th December as speculated is the issue of location and date because the location is being featured to host the match between Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua undercard taking place on 11th Dec Principality Stadium, Cardiff, same venue slated to feature the most awaited fight between the two, which started since 2016.

I wonder if this is going to happen. There were so many fighters that were pitted against Manny that did not push through, Shakur, Ryan, and Floyd did not materialize, but if ever, the Khan materializes, it's going to be a thrilling fight as both fighters hav similar style and have trained under Freddie Roach.

It's going to be a tactical match, as both fighters are good at angles and counter punching. These two fighters always come to fight, so expect an action-packed match. I prefer to see this match happen rather than the Shakur or Ryan matches.
