So i saw a thread on maybe it is not early for btc.

It got me thinking

Spacex and btc are close to,the same market cap.

I have to say e8ther one could do 6x in less than 10  years.

But which is more likely to do 6x

Basically  spacex breaks 1000 bucks
Or BTC breaks 500,000 bucks.

I THINK spacex wins this race in under 5 years.

I can not sell my bitcoin for SPCX, I can prefer to buy some SPCX also in a way that most of my asset will be in bitcoin while few part of it will be in SPCX.

We can only guess this, we do not know which one will have higher ROI in the next 5 years, though probably many experts will choose SPCX, but bitcoin has some characteristics that will let me prefer to have it than having SPCX.

What is certain is that bitcoin price will increase.

Buying SpaceX is good but not for sell Bitcoin especially at the price now. You should sold Bitcoin at ATH before so you can have more money to buy SpaceX.

To the options, maybe number 3 is my choice. That is an interesting question but I don't know which will faster. Maybe SpaceX but maybe Bitcoin, but SpaceX could be in the time.

The thing that I can do now is accumulating both so I have more chances to profit.

In reality, SpaceX has the fundamentals to push the price to $1,000 faster than it will take bitcoin to reach $500,000 but this is not enough to make me sell my bitcoin to buy SpaceX. I have confidence in bitcoin more than I do in SpaceX whose prospect depend on the Starlink and xAI / Starship spend. Hence, I voted "Maybe it's an interesting question". I might consider to raise funds for it though but such decision have not been made yet

I doubt that but possible in 10 years time frame. Probably between 7 to 10 years and that's if Starship is fully commercialised.

I don't want to influence your choice but I will place my bet on BTC looking at how many x we normally do in every cycle even though the market is changing narratives with ETFs in the picture. From the current bottom to 500k is around 6x. It sounds somehow but ain't changing my pick.

I cast my vote already. Hope we'll come back to resurrect this thread in the future.

Considering that Musk is an oligarch (member of the Epstein Class) and is capable of pumping his stuff and also the fact that SpaceX is a very hyped up thing with military ties (like the military project known as Starlink) that wastes billions of dollars injecting into silly projects... that gives it a good pumpability potential.
But I still wouldn't suggest it instead of bitcoin. It's good mostly as something used for diversification only if the goal is to reduce exposure to bitcoin or to maximize the chance of making profit in other markets as well.

These are two different project. From my perspective, Bitcoin is far more better. The next 2 years will distinguish the two.

No need for us to do that. Even if we say spaceX have great potential, still I will not sell the most established coin I have on controlled stocks. Maybe best to do diversification if you really want to invest on that stock.

Because there's good chance that once you sell your HODL Bitcoin you might regret the decision for doing that.

I've seen lots of hype on spaceX, but those things will not convince me to do more craziest decision.

I voted for Maybe it's an interesting question.

Who knows, maybe SpaceX can generated that type of hype and push the price. Or it's just that thing, pure hype but when it actually goes out, investors are not willing to take the risk specially Bitcoin investor.

And we might think that it's better to just stick to Bitcoin itself. After all, it has been proven already, that in every cycle we are going to hit a new all time high. It might not give us 10x as every bull run could be shallow, but at least it's a safe bet as compare to SpaceX.

If BTC breaks $500k, that's probably the only time that I'll have money to invest in Space X. I've invested mostly to bitcoin and I don't know yet my next plans of reinvesting it to another asset. Space journey might be interesting in the next 5 years and the market cap of bitcoin will continue grow at that pace as well. All I can say that there's still a lot of things that can happen within that period and I don't mind if Space X reaches first to $1k than bitcoin's $500k. Both are valuable asset right now but I have my bias since I don't hold SpaceX.

If BTC breaks $500k, that's probably the only time that I'll have money to invest in Space X. I've invested mostly to bitcoin and I don't know yet my next plans of reinvesting it to another asset. The question for you will be "By the time BTC reaches $500,000, will the price of SPCX shares still be attractive for you to buy." Let's say for example if Bitcoin goes up to $500,000 and the price of SPCX goes let's say $1000 or maybe $1500. Will you still buy? Will you sell your Bitcoins just for buying SPCX? Will you still think that SPCX is still undervalued during that time then?

Not many know it, but SpaceX is just riding the wave of AI, and there are many videos that can prove it. I just can't remember how it became a company that belongs to the AI sector but for sure, SpaceX is more of an AI-related company which for me is a big no-no because I believe that the AI industry has hyped too much that it's currently in the bubble, and it's only a matter of when until it pops.

Like you though, I also choose to go and buy Bitcoin and crypto rather than SPCX. I'm not a fan of shares that don't give dividends anyway.

For those who think it is okay to sell off some portion of their bitcoin to buy SpaceX, it is never too late to reconsider. Even though I also see potential in SpaceX, I do not think it is wise to sell off bitcoin to acquire SpaceX.

Anyone who is already investing in bitcoin and considers it necessary to diversify their investments by owning SpaceX too can consider raising capital from other sources to buy it. Alternatively, they can use the profits from their bitcoin investments to buy SpaceX.

It would be a huge mistake for anyone to abandon an asset like Bitcoin, which has stood the test of time over the years, for SPCX, which is enjoying the hype right now. I am not fully convinced that SpaceX will maintain the same momentum in a few years to come like bitcoin has done.

Both investments are the investment of choice. Invest the other, leave the other, or invest in both is up to anyone. And I don't think anyone is mandated to invest in one, and there's nothing wrong with picking both as investments, since we all believe Bitcoin and SPCX will increase in value in 5 years.

The best move anyone can make, if they don't want to miss the ROI of Bitcoin and SPCX, is to invest in both because what the price of both assets will become is what we don't know; only what we know is that the price of both will increase more than it is today

I'm looking at whats looming on the horizon, the potential fall of the western colonisers, Europe*,
the UK and the US will mean economic strife, as the economies and currencies fall there is only
one safe place and it isnt in Space!

With the fall of the west the east will rise and that means space programmes I suppose too. I am
guessing the Chinese and Russian space programmes will become dominant over the US and
SpaceX.

I picked that but in transparent effort to explain I have 112 shares of spacex or around 17500 usd of it.

I have more btc than that.

Personally if you have 100,000 in investment assets maybe only 70 percent should be btc the other 30 percent

Both goals seem like long shots, but the market-cap calculation is interesting.

If BTC hits $500k, that would equate to about a $10T market cap. SPCX at $1,000 per share would be about $13T if the number of shares outstanding remains constant. Both targets require roughly 6x growth over five years, or a 43% CAGR. Either one could fail. But market cap seems like a better comparison metric than the price per coin or share.

That is a personal choice but that's a norm even in the financial institutions that they sell one of their assets to buy another one.

I've made mistakes in the past that I've sold my bitcoin just to buy other assets, altcoins and it turned out to be a bad decision.

But particularly for this one, I'm in between of probably dumping a bit of it maybe few % of my total holdings which isn't so much just to have a part of it.

Because it's noticeable that plenty of US stocks have also made a lot of return to its investors.

And this is one of the brightest spots in investing, we have different strategies that we know which one can work for us but not for somebody else.

The enterprise value for SPCX wont alter as easily as BTC might, the market capitalization is already large and multiples higher would soak up alot of capital.  It would divide the earnings per share which investors likely want to remain high to justify the risk vs returns necessary for perceived high cost risks the company is taking.
 
  If SPCX and BTC share the same trait of being with a global audience and large growth then maybe its possible but generally the progress to that end game is a jaggered sawtooth patten not just straight up all at once, it'll be a decade or more for SPCX as its physical and BTC has less weight to carry to perform the same.

There is no doubt SpaceX might do more x in a few years than bitcoin based on the value and how much is needed to reach such a height compared to bitcoin, but we can't also ignore the fact that bitcoin has done more during its stage from then to now.

That's by the way, I also think spacex stock is overhyped which I can't tell how long it will last with this pump or if it will continue which every one it can only worth my investment if I have the money to buy an asset but not for me to choose between selling bitcoin to acquire it or just holding my bitcoin.
