As others have said, this is an end of an era for the Binance mining pool. Not sure how long this pool had run, but for sure those miners might have made a lot of money with it.

But a guess, every good thing must come to an end. So everyone here who needs to know check everything before you switch off. You still have a month to do that.

And for those who had made a lot of money here from being a miner, still though you don't need to be sad as there could be more options from Binance and for sure you might be holding their native token.

So still a win-win situation for you.

That's too bad, I really thought they gonna keep their Binance Pool alive as a way to give back to community by increasing decentralization of hashrate but they are closing down, seeing their multi year revenue and compared to other mining pool, Binance pool is pretty low and only have 1% hashrate, so it kinda make sense they shut down the service.

I guess business is business and they prefer to focus on other thing, probably scaling their spot and futures that make them billions.

Before such decision would have been established, they would have considered several factors that shows a downgrade from their end on what they have discovered from end users as well: the essence of keeping a particular service that does not attract as much attention as before and takes more to maintain; how many users actually considered the Binance pool like before; and they have their best reason why they are scrapping it, and this will be to their interest. I know this is true.

They’ve been operating for six years, if I recall correctly.

and they have their best reason why they are scrapping it, and this will be to their interest. I know this is true.
On Monday, they announced the release of a new enhanced AI tool feature; if they are committed to building expensive AI servers (and more than just a trading helper), I suppose that explains why they have to shut down one of their business lines. https://www.theblock.co/news/business/2026-10-12-binance-ai-trading-interface-global-rollout-418349

A cut down in cost is what likely the reason for discontinuing their pool. They better focus where they are profitable than what they are contributing more in the community. They're done with that era of helping and contributing the community with their resources.

I thought about this too, if really they were making massive profit the binance pool, I don't think they would want to shut it down, although they didn't release any information that mentioned if the reason for closing the service is financial problems but logically, if they were profitable in keeping that service activite, they won't close it, I guess they have seen better opportunity that fits the company's vision more than these ones that they are about to close and like you said, they could be moving to something else that will make more billions for them.

They only have 1.76% share. It makes sense if they shutdown their business instead of keep running it. It's normal a company does a niche market strategy when they have a better business to run, then let their unprofitable business die. Nevertheless it sounds bad if we will have more pools decide to shutdown because there will be no competition to get bitcoin.
