The points are valid, but to an extend updating old threads might be considered irrelevant when clearly new updates are posted always. Immediately new informations about wallet, bitcoin price, strategy, is released on the internet you intend to see posts made here on the forum immediately. I know using search feature might sometimes provide old updates but at same time if the topic is about same discussion both the new and old will appear.
If everyone starts updating old informations then there’s no point creating new topics besides I will always advice to make research after reading a thread though op alternative option is also helpful by checking the date first.

Some information has duration to which it is value if at the current development of Bitcoin one rely on adated or old information as newbies it's difficult to comprehend the reality of today in Bitcoin and such personality will find hard to survive or grow with speed in the market, old information hard a limited time frame to which it add value mostly information that is not renewable and become misinformation some information are renewable that is the reason we keep having in our text book different edition, as the latest edition as regards to the information, is bring to the public space one using the old edition will be limited in many development, I will agree that any newbies who rely on such is wrong and need follow the right part.

Now my question to you, is it the responsibility of the original author to correct the information in an old post if it has changed, or should those who read the information later verify it themselves? Have you ever come across any old information that was once correct but is no longer valid?

I cannot give you a statistics of how many topics are created in this forum on a daily bases but one thing i know is that there are enough updated post on the informations you need.

Now to answer your question, the information in that old post will not be corrected in that particular posts, rather new posts will be made regarding the new development, some can be very detailed to the point where it takes you back to how it used to be, how it is now, and the mechanism behind it. So looking past recent posts and settling for topics created 3yrs ago and more may feed you an outdated information. Unless for topics that are pinned.

While we have soo much information on this forum, you still have to make your findings to ensure correspondence. And in cases where there are contradictions and the topic isn’t old, you can aswell share your findings in the forum.

As a user or responsible individual it's important for you to make verification before you utilize every information you may hear around the forum. Usually, it's important to always make verification, know wether it's coming from a reliable place before making use of that information because everything must have a source, place that is already known to be coming from otherwise, such information is not authentic.
Anyone out there can post anything, just take make sure that to attract attention of the community without even coming from the right source, but as someone who must believe on information you should be able to make your own findings.

It’s good you’re asking such question because when you get into a space newly it’s important you seek knowledge in other not to trespass the rules governing the community.Except pinned topics that at the top of every board, any topic that was posted 3 years ago ought to have gone down to the bottom of the board an exception can also be seen from those topics that are actively discussed no matter when it was created. Then again why would you be interested in resurrecting a topic that has been discussed in the past 3-4 years, there’s nothing wrong in reading through the thread just to seek knowledge but it would be pointless to bring the topic to the top of the board especially when you’re not the Op of the thread. So what I would encourage a newbie is to always reply on current posts.
