For all those who have some doubts about this, let's start a GoFundMe to reimburse government for the money that it spends on the Trump project. It would at least give somebody a job managing the GoFundMe funds that would come in. Might even be lucrative if one could show management expenses to be high enough. Loads of honest Republicans would donate , don't you think? Even some Democrats .

And if GoFundMe wouldn't allow a fund like this, there are other funding companies that might. This is important enough that one could start his own funding Internet company, and bypass all those companies that  that wouldn't allow something like this.

But why would they not allow this? It could put them on the map in an even higher position than they are now!

I really think the plan is to set off hyperinflation to pay off the national debt. I’ve been talking about this for 20 years now but I never thought I would live to see it. I still think that can’t actually be the case, but every day it seems the United States gets closer to losing reserve currency status.

This is sort of the thing that Trump is doing in several different ways. Buying diesel from Russia is part of it. Doing the tariff thing is part of it. Moving gold around is part of it. On the outside, it looks like he is hurting us. But we are being brought into slavery by the Fed. Trump is trying to free us.

The Fed banking system is getting weaker. But will Trump get the job done before he leaves office? Will he see to it that somebody who thinks the way he does gets elected? The $5,000 stimulus is part of getting the election job done. Should be interesting.

These are more useful questions than assuming we already know the hidden intention behind the proposal. In my view, the real test of any government promises is not how attractive it sounds during an election but whether it can truly be delivered without creating bigger problems later on.

If government has to send out check whether to appease public or to sustain belief that economy is working, doesn't that reveal stark, uncomfortable truth that actual economic has completely failed to generate prosperity for everyone?

Receiving one time payment of $5000 might provide temporary sense of relief. It would offer brief moment of respite. Yet this fail to address core question. After decades of rising productivity and significant technological advancement then why does such large segment of population still suffer from acute economic insecurity?

Whether these fund come from tariff, borrowing, tax hike or even printing money, core crisis remains exactly same. Despite being world’s largest economy, why must ultimate solution involve distributing cash directly to people? I would say that this proposal is far more matter for concern than it is significant. This is because current situation has made such decision appear highly attractive from political standpoint.
