Interestingly, he spends some of his trading winnings on casino games. His casino winnings are random and generally unprofitable compared to trading. This got me thinking. Many people claim that gambling is wrong for fun; there's always an ulterior motive to get rich. Why do you think traders play casino games in this case?
Not only traders, if any person enters the game of gambling, now his purpose is to earn money, no matter how much he says that he is not addicted to gambling, but if he is not addicted, then why does he enter the game of gambling? Every person will gamble later, so much so that he can earn some money from gambling and can gamble later. A trader does not want to gamble by earning money by working hard in the real world, but those who are addicted to gambling definitely gamble with their hard-earned money only for the purpose of winning more. However, if you want to gamble, you should not gamble without controlling yourself and with emotions, if you want to get blessings, you should definitely play using strategies.

Why do you think traders play casino games in this case?
I think they try to boost their earnings through gambling. I'm not sure if this guy is really profiting from trading in a solid way, because it seems unlikely, but in positive case, if he is lucky, he can turn the daily profit into a big sum of money through quick gambling games. Probably he creates a budget for gambling, so he can try his luck, at same time he doesn't compromise an essential portion of his earnings. Also, traders usually love the thrill and the sensation of being at risk all the time (adrenaline). It's similar to the emotion faced and experienced by gamblers, so it's likely they go for that sensation as well when gambling.

Many reason can be the answer because we are not that trader but it could be that he consider gambling as a way of relieving himself because there is stress from trading and he consider gambling to be one of the many way of having fun or he could be a gambler first that then learnt trading and he still has addictions from gambling. If he is already making profits from trading then he will not be looking for money from gambling because he will be putting in more efforts learning more and becoming a professional from trading that he can Keep being more guarantee of making profits then gambling that is more of being lucky. It could also be he is not making any profits from trading but doing more of gambling to cover up or all could be promotions still, anything is possible at this point.

When you already have a lot of money and understand or know how to make even more, spending it isn’t difficult, the most important thing is that you’re happy doing it. In this context, i’m convinced that the main reason people gamble away most of their trading profits is simply because they enjoy doing it, in other words, gambling has truly become a form of entertainment for them. Typically, people like this no longer care about profit or loss, they’re no longer looking for ways to make a profit from gambling, as we often do.
It depends. If we are truly talking about a very successful trader, then it would make sense for him not to look at money in the same way we do, probably, for him money comes so easily that he does not mind to lose it to bad luck and continues to go back to the casino and also his favorite bookie, knowing very well that he will be able to make easy money the next day in order to cover his losses. To some, this sounds like the ideal life, but when money becomes so frugal people tend to start to lose their mind and also some of their own empathy...

Gambling is for everyone and one can gamble whenever he wishes. A trader must always gambling for fun and must have being gambling for long, he did not just started casino games, like you see he his already wealthy, I cannot say he his looking for quick money to meet up his financial needs but rather feels like relaxing and get refreshed and prepare for his next tax because trading is very stressful and calculative, he must play casino games to ease mental stress mainly.

I personally have never believed gambling is an act of fun but your story, I'm forced to say that, maybe gambling might be fun to the trader and also the rule of games he plays will help determine if he's in for fun or diversifying his source of income l, so if the tip of games he plays are typically casino games and not sport betting like football and it's class, then it is safe at this point to say that, there are people who gamble not just for the sake of trying to make money but just fun. Now I would want to know why someone would choose gambling where he will be losing money as a sort of entertainment rather than a business that it's ought to be.

The activities aren't related; just because he's successful at trading doesn't mean he can't gamble. Maybe he enjoys it; he's just not as good at it and can't make a profit. It would be good if you gave him some tips; who knows, perhaps that's what he wants, OP?

Why do you think traders play casino games in this case?
Big win in trading can create sense of invincibility, making people feel like they're on top of world and can't be wrong. Traders tend to believe, if I can consistently make money in market, surely I can figure out how to overcome casino's house edge! I have seen many people start gambling at casino because they're overconfident in their ability to win. Perhaps they knowingly overlook fact that casino's negative expected value makes it mathematically impossible to win consistently over long term.

There's another reason, which in Russian is called "to tickle your nerves" or experience a thrill. I watched a lot of interesting videos from one blogger, who said his main problem is that after he got rich, he doesn't want much. He's tried a lot in his life and is fed up with it all. Expensive cars, long trips, good restaurants. Perhaps only high-quality medicine will remain relevant forever. But over time, the zest for life diminishes, and the thrill disappears. And the casino brings that thrill back.

This is a question of a philosophical nature, and the answer would just be from the person itself and asking him "Why are you doing it?"To entertain this question, it's about understanding that, just because they can, maybe they are bored and want that dopamine hit and the excitement it brings. Maybe the dopamine from trading is too slow and might be better of having that stronger and faster reward for the brain.

OP already mentioned he uses some of his trading profits to gamble, which invalidates this your claim, however, he could be posting fake screenshot as for trading profits, just like gambling results. Normally when people brag on media, they appear all flashy but in this case he's not in profits from the casino which doesn't add up and makes his story a bit believable. Even traders want to have fun, trading doesn't make them less of gamblers if they're one and it's a good thing he's even disciplined enough to know when to draw the line between trading and gambling. I admire such a person and it's a clear indication such person isn't much of an addict.

You don’t mention who the person is (in any case, it would be hard to tell) but generally speaking, there are good traders who come from the world of betting, especially those who play poker. That said, I don’t believe that people who trade necessarily have an advantage; they could just as easily be losers; be careful with that. These are different niches, but the risk of loss is always present. The reason could be anything: for fun, because they prefer it over trading, or perhaps it’s their way of reinvesting... etc.

Some traders play casino games to experience the risk and excitement of uncertain results. After spending some hours studying charts and analyzing market, a trader may choose gambling to get relax and enjoy something different. Some people may choice trading and gambling both to earn more money quickly without waiting too long.
I believe successful traders involve casino games for fun. They know risk management, how to protect money and have patience. So i don't think they play casinos to earn money when they already know that the outcomes of casino games totally on luck.

Exactly, if the trader is successfully making money from trading, there's no reason to find another way to take risks and try to make money since trading is available 24/7 and the earning potential could be unlimited. So that gambling time is just a way to enjoy, everyone needs to have fun right. But this topic honestly, is going to turn into spam already as the question is very simple and repetitive answers will be seen here, I think OP needs to consider closing it.

This is an interesting take. I guess this proves there truly is gambling for fun, right? But let's not just draw any conclusions from a simple observation. The best thing you could've done is to have asked the trader why he gambles if he's already successful in trading—which is apparently similar to gambling in terms of risk magnitude: similar but not the same. I still stand on the belief that gambling is not all about fun: you might be having fun while gambling, but that's not like the whole purpose. I believe making money is also a key factor in gambling. I don't think anyone gambles because they love the game first and the promised reward is just an incentive, I believe they want the reward first and the fun is the incentive.
