Bitcoin is not some kind of shitcoin or altcoin that claims to be decentralized but is actually controlled by a centralized body. This is where decentralization comes in. Yes, Satoshi invented Bitcoin, but that doesn’t mean he has control over it.

Bitcoin is a community-driven cryptocurrency that isn’t controlled by one person but by everyone involved in the network. That’s why everyone has a role to play when it comes to Bitcoin.  

Bitcoin operates through a decentralized network of miners, nodes, developers, and users. So Satoshi coming back wouldn’t necessarily be a major threat to Bitcoin. Although his return might affect the market for some time, I believe Bitcoin would eventually bounce back.

People at this point can risk millions in investments in Bitcoin even without the knowledge of the identity of Satoshi because the benefits that Bitcoin offers and the value it is bringing is far more than the importance of the identity of the creator. Earlier, I'm very sure many people would have been discouraged from investing in Bitcoin because they are not aware of the creator as he had his identity hidden but right now if anybody still holds that as a reason why they've not invested in Bitcoin, they're just fooling themselves and playing themselves badly because it is a decision that they will later get to regret.

The value is now bigger than the need to know the identity of the creator, plus many people now just understand better why the creator had to have its identity hidden.

The risk is crazy but it has proven itself to be a reliable asset that everyone needs without itself to the government. The dependence is no longer with satoshi but with the community who are securing the network, and everything.

If he comes back, what do you think will happen? I don't think anything will happen. Satoshi has said that he has move on to other things, that means he does not have time for Bitcoin again, if he want Bitcoin he would come back and have what is his and can do what he want. The Bitcoin that are in his wallet address might be spent and I think he has right to spend it like everyone has right to spend his own. If people are scared of teams to dump altcoins worth billions on them, why fear of Satoshi is going to sell his Bitcoin.

Some of you are scare of Satoshi selling, are you not sacard that companies that has large supply of Bitcoin in their wallet want to spend. On my own end, I think most people developed their trust in Bitcoin because of the positivity it has created over the time, Bitcoin at the starting of its existence had so many discouraging challenges, but it has created a good record for itself afterwards.

One of the reason also why I think many people believe and have trust in Bitcoin even without knowing Satoshi is, because of the opportunity one gets in making decisions and securing their investment themselves, rather than having someone else to be in charge of securing and deciding same.

If Bitcoin where to operate in form of a bank where someone has most right over ones investment, and some certain restrictions and decision where to be made by the administrators, many won't have had interest in it than the way they have now.

Satoshi might have created Bitcoin but I doubt if his existence can cause any harm to Bitcoin progress, Bitcoin has reached the level where I don't think it will ever disappear on the surface of this earth or to have any other coin that can compete with it.

Trusting Bitcoin and trusting Satoshi are 2 different things. Not even Satoshi himself can control or manipulate his own creation/core protocol. So, here's a thing to ponder. What would you rather trust? A currency that's being controlled by corrupt central authorities? or a currency that nobody have the power to control to?
People are too sick of having someone who control their own money. Banks putting restrictions and limits on your daily transactions, putting up ridiculous fees, etc. Satoshi created Bitcoin to exactly eliminate these hindrances, and create a hassle free borderless transactions. I think this reason alone is enough for people to trust this revolutionary currency.

Why do we need to know who satoshi is? And why does it matter because as long as Bitcoin is decentralised it doesn’t matter if he is a monkey or a human or anything else, what matters is the thing he created and how does it work. You have the thinking that it is like all the other systems and he has control over everything. He will appear once and will take all the liquidity of the people and will go somewhere on an island blah blah, this is all just nonsense, his arrival will surely have its effect on the market and it might suffer for a while but after some time everything will start to come normal, i don’t see anything bad in his arrival or his identity being revealed

‎This question is really a very dabeting topic to talk about,  not just to talk,  to think and rethink twice, but as an individual who has been in this race for long you are supposed to understand that Bitcoin itself  functions on a decentralized network that uses cryptography to protect and safeguard it transactions .

Your question is valid but, the logic isn't sinking to me.
If we're consuming things that we don't know who have manufactured and created that for us, why we trust them?
The branding of those things we consume is important for most people but, there are times that we choose the unknown brands.
And yet, we consume it still because we find it cheaper. So, the logic for this thought to me is like that.
But one factor I think is when it was launched, it was during a financial crisis back in 2009.
That was a perfect timing when people got tired of the banking system and bitcoin has solved that worry of many for their hard earned money.
How it's going to be stored and how the value will be kept despite all the global economic turmoils we experience.

That is why bitcoin is decentralized, as no one can take full control over its system, not even Satoshi himself. Maybe he could make the market crash temporarily but the market will recover eventually, that's how bitcoin moves irresistibly in the market.

Why did it crash? Just because Satoshi suddenly showed up and then people got scared to death? That's so ridiculous. He can't do anything to Bitcoin. From the beginning, Bitcoin was developed to be decentralized. That's why it's secure, and no single person can control it.

If Satoshi's real identity has been exposed from the birth of bitcoin, I don't think bitcoin will be as successful as today, so leaving Satoshi stay unknown is really helping with the continuous progress of bitcoin. When the logic makes sense, you are either left to accept or reject the system. Everything about Bitcoin makes a lot of sense, and we are major contributors who help sustain and maintain the future of Bitcoin, it all rests on those who believe in the system.

Here is the drill.
Every Bitcoiner dont actually trust Satoshi. They only trust the innovation and the solution the system he left behind presented.
Therefore, if you also create something that solves a problem, people will use it whether they like it or not, and that includes your enemy.

Back to your question. Bitcoin doesn’t depend on one (Satoshi) person to thrive, it code is open source, and secured by thousands of miners  not Satoshi, so he has no special control over the BTC protocol.

If he comes back and move/sell his coins, it would only cause short-term bear in the market.
