I think gambling is almost as old as the world because it began very long time ago. Before now gambling existed in a different form, but today because of the increasing technology, gambling has entered into the digital world.
However, I have come to realize that many gamblers right from when gambling started existing have not been on the safer side, many gamblers have not made any gain rather they make losses in regular basis, and just very Small percentage of gamblers can boast of life changing rewards from it, and will every gambler really make life changing rewards? I can equally see that some countries are placing ban on their citizens not to gamble, and some are trying to regulate the system so that gamblers can be responsible, and spend less money instead of gambling with all their money.
We have had many stories here, how gambling has shattered some families, and relationship, and some people gamble with money meant for their family upkeep, and all this story is about the risk that gambling pose to our financial growth.
Personally, I do gamble, but I haven't made any profit from gambling because my wins is far below the profit I have made.
In nutshell, gambling doesn't guarantee success, and we should approach it as fun rather than a place of making money, and statistically majority of gamblers have made huge losses rather making profit.

Gambling is part of human nature and has been in existence since human existence. The problem is that gambling isn't for profit but for entertainment. Some people feel that because making profit is involved in gambling, they decided to follow that part. Unknown, to them that the chance of hitting the jackpot is very slim. From my own understanding, 95% or more run at losses in the long run. Gamble for fun and stay healthy.

Gambling is not a place to lose your hard-earned money, unless you are the one who has failed in planning how to gamble responsibly. Gambling is we see today  is a game of luck, that many people has drain their hard earn money just because they want to make quick money. You might see it as entertainment, but gradually it's draining your financial status in life the moment you take it as a source of income and a habit too.
‎This effect makes individual loses alot of money especially when they have won a huge amount of money and losses it after,
‎ at this period they will try to chase their losses, why chasing losses they might end up losing the little they have left behind as source of livelihood ,
‎this mindset of failure has drastically lead some people to depression, and some may end up taking drugs, smokes hard drugs too , stealing and so on.

Only very few will earn from gambling with a life changing amounts. And those who haven't made any gain and complaining about it, they're gambling for profit and that's normal but they shouldn't anticipate that gambling is profitable for everyone. It's more to give us losses instead of profit. If someone boasts with their lifechanging jackpots, I will be happy for those gamblers because there they are who are making it in gambling. I am one of those who are on the losing side when it comes to money spent on gambling.

Well, that is the norm. I think many gamblers will agree with me. Sometimes, losing doesn't hurt as much anymore because we've gotten used to it. The fact that there is less news or stories about gamblers who won is proof that it is not meant to make money. It's made to entertain us or to boost the entertainment factor of the games or the sports. Just imagining games like dice without money being risked is already boring.

You spend money everywhere, some for experiences and some to buy stuff for yourself. The difference is in how we view it. People don't see it as if they are paying for the experience simply because they don't win. Even if you are playing to make money, you're still getting an experience, and you lose money when you pay for an experience.
Sometimes we pay good money just to be at live sporting events. These are events that we could easily watch in our homes, but because we want the thrills of being right there in the stadium live, we spend money to be there.

There's a channel that's design to help addicted gambler come out of Thier addiction and listening to them speak of how they got it wrong by gambling with money that's meant for something important and how they eventually lost the money to gambling is as bad and frustrating as hell. There are other cases where student use all Thier upkeep money for gambling and end up loosing it all and when they share Thier experience, you just have to learn from them and understand that gambling is damn and addictive and if followed the wrong way, the result will not be good.

To start with, the amount of money you put into gambling should be what you can afford to loose and gambling should never serve as a primary source of income. If you're treating gambling as a sure source of getting more money, chances are high that you're loosing it all far more than you're going to win. Treat gambling like what it actually is and you won't get to struggling with it.

Gambling to me has never been a place I liquidate my hard earned money, but rather I take it as a fun thing I risk my spare cash on, if I may be lucky enough to hit a jackpot. The only reason people like you are now seeing it as where you lose your hard earned money is because you take it too serious and personal, mostly because of the motive of earning from it, and because of that, you and others can go as far as gambling with what you cannot afford to lose, which mostly ends in frustration or addiction, but if you stop taking it too serious and start gambling responsible, I bet you that you will start seeing things differently.

I agree with you that gambling has stayed for long but technology has made it more easier for people to gamble whenever they want. It's not good to blame others when the one who is actually at fault is ourselves. Once I realized that I needed to gamble responsibly, I became able to accept everything, both the wins & the losses. You got it wrong, you have gambled and won and your prize is far from your losses. And that's why it doesn't make sense for you to gamble to aim for profits but you're still drowning in losses.
Nothing wrong with that because most of gamblers including me have been incurring more with losses than with profits.

But these reminders will serve its purpose when a gambler finally realizes that he's done with chasing profits.

We can take lottery as the example, a few among millions of users win the rewards which is how gambling works and the winning probabilty changes based on the reward amount but basically it works like a small people win the pot and everyone else go home with nothing and if one didn't realize this fact and starts doing gambling to make more money will end up regreting their decision.

Yes, I'm not alone & I realize that there are many people out there going through the same thing as me. There are many lessons I learned after that big loss in the past, practice self-restraint, set limits for gambling sessions, establish gambling session targets & don’t take things too seriously. Answering the subject question, yes it is a place where we can take a loss and lose our hard earned money. This is why I can consider gambling as a form of entertainment and as a vice. I can compare it to other vices like smoking, it doesn't have any particularly good effect on us aside from the nicotine rush we can get but still there are still many smokers that are addicted to it. Just like other vices, gambling is addicting and could certainly harm us if we make wrong decisions this is why a strong mind with a good mindset is important on being a gambler.

I myself got caught and lost a lot of money before when I was still an addicted gambler but I recovered and earned a strict mind fortitude when I want to gamble like having a strict budget so I don't go broke and to control myself to stop whenever I want to.

We have different stories about gambling. Gambling is good until your broke, gambling is bad until you hit the jackpot. Different scenario and different perspective on gambling.
