Investment isn't what you should think of trying your luck because if you have such thought in mind, it will make you not take your bitcoin investment serious and that will lead to losses due to wrong decisions. Investment is about building and growing that business for the future. You are not after the short term out but a long term outcome and that will make you give yourself enough time to learn, study and know the challenges in the business to prevent you from unexpected losses.

Bitcoin investment is just like that. It's not what you try your luck with as if you're gambling because it will make you buy out of FOMO, or buy with money that's made for your upkeep believing that you will be lucky to sell before the time you will use the money. Short term is for the smart ones but the fact is that how many of those smart traders are really smart enough to avoid losses. None of them which signifies that long term investors are the smartest.

Ask yourself why are you here in the crypto space, to look for short term profit (weak hands) which will end up putting you in losses in the long run or you are here to build a future for yourself through your long term bitcoin investment.

Some people will try their luck with trading, thinking it is a professional way to earn more money but many of the traders that tried it are losing. Instead to earn money and use it to invest in bitcoin, they earn money and use it for crypto trading and lose.

Another one are those that are fooled by altcoins. They will see the coins have fallen significantly, thinking it will get back up because they are volatile than bitcoin. The coins will not get to all time high after they have lost money significantly.

When they try to believe it's just all about luck?   

Others don't understand that because they just look at the history of Bitcoin, which rose from less than a dollar to what it is now, so they think they will experience the same kind of profit, but in reality it's not gonna happen anymore though Bitcoin is still profitable.

Once they understand Bitcoin especially its risks, they will not rely on luck alone but they will manage the risks and will be confident in their long-term investment.

But you cannot expect that from everyone as there are still those who will be affected by FUD and FOMO.

Be careful what you are investing in and how you go about it because not everything is worth putting your money in and even holding. If you want to invest in other cryptocurrencies beside bitcoin, I don't recommend long-term investment because a lot of the cryptocurrencies that appear looked so promising in their early stages hurt many people who invested in them through the way they failed.

Bitcoin is the only asset I can trust to hold for long because it has this outstanding record of getting better with time. A new person who just joined cryptocurrency will be much more accomplished he remain with only bitcoin and not chase huge returns in some of other low-cap coins.

You have a good point, luck is part of life. Anyone that become rich in life, it is about luck despite that such person is smarter and wiser than other people.

But there are things that people should also be careful about. Ledger Nano is a close source wallet which people have not been recommending on this forum. There was a time Coldcard became something that people also warned others that they should no more use it. Those that were hacked did not listen or not following what is happening.

Also why are people using a wallet that has no passphrase? I wish bitcoin wallets have passphrase or I wish if there is a bitcoin protocol that make passphrase mandatory for wallets that are not multisig.

Some people just also made bad choices has been the reason for their bad luck.

No, that's not their luck but they did their homework for doing research of what bitcoin can become. Although it's also perhaps luck due to the situation where they were in at that time, the timing.

If on the other hand you're strictly invested in bitcoin alone, there's little to nothing that luck has to do with your investment journey because everything is dependent on your investment plan and not just on some trial and error kind of thing. Just like any other kind of proper investment, you've got to be intentional about your bitcoin investment and running things purely on luck shows that you're ready to take anything as the outcome of your investment and that you're not a goal oriented investor.

Is true that meme coin or shitcoin might have changed some folks lives with some 1000x , but that doesn't change the fact that it has ruined more lives too . To be honest I don’t blame most of the newbies that actually see bitcoin as a get rich quick scheme because most of them don’t even know the true value of bitcoin and most of them got to know about bitcoin through certain influencers and this influencers are mostly the ones stereotyping the bitcoin investment as a get rich quick scheme and immediately this narrative is what drive most newbies Into thinking this is a try your luck scheme.

When you decide to start any investment with high expecation of profit, you are automatically putting yourself in a pressure because achieving your goal will be your main target, and because of that, you can become greedy at some point just because you have high expectation of making money within some period of time.

Any investment comes with it's risks, same as Bitcoin investment too. Just because we say that Bitcoin is safe if you invested and hold for long term doesen't mean that there are no risks involved in it's investment, we recently see incidents that occured on some hardware wallets we see as the most safe wallets, it is part of the risk of investing in ditdal currency like Bitcoin same as other physical investments also have their own risk.

If you want to invest for future purpose, you don't have to panic. If you buy BTC in the right way and get at least Electrum wallet to save it, and keep your seed phrase safe, you don't to place it based on luck, your money will be saved and will maintain it's value for long.
