The title says it all. What is that one thing you like the most about the popular "meme" cryptocurrency? It can be a feature of the coin itself, or simply its design/aesthetic. Dogecoin is both fast and cheap to use. It's one of the many things why I became so fond of it.

Nothing to be technical and be an analyst about it but, you already said why I like it, cheap and fast.

And if that's not included it's simply because the community loved the way it is. The meme itself became a trend and it all started by dogecoin.

I don't see any reason to hate dogecoin to be honest. Yet, from the ones that have born from it and made from different networks as memecoins, I don't understand why I don't like them but dogecoin.

If there's any significant reason that people love about Dogecoin, I think it's those two reason that you already listed which is why I guess it's still ranking 11 by market cap. I like low fee and speed transaction, if I can not get it from the blockchain network that I often use, then I will turn to use Dogecoin as an alternative.

If doge get to $8 today, its marketcap will be around $1.25 trillion. So if doge will trade at $20 today, it will be above bitcoin. I have only thought that doge will trade above $1 in the last bull market, but i was completely disappointed as it did not get to all-time high. But what I noticed about the coin is that it has not fallen below its lowest 2022 price. Many altcoins have fallen below their 2022 lowest price during the recent bear market.

Really? I didn't even know, I used to think that the market capitalization is being calculated using the total amount invested on the coin but with what you said, it's assumed that it is calculated based on the price of the token, that means I have had an unrealistic expectation for Dogecoin price because even in 10 years from now it still doesn't seem like price will reach that $20/Doge because there's no way any altcoins couple compete with Bitcoin. I just lose hope in doge as it has not performed the way I expected, so I didn't even look at it in the last bull season you are talking about, however I also observed what you said that the price didn't fall below 2022 low the way some tokens did.

Yes that is totally right. Coin marketcap, the total supply of the coin and price of the coin are used for the calculation. The price of the coin and its circulating supply can be used to know the marketcap. While marketcap and circulating supply of a coin can be used to know the price of a coin.

Marketcap = price of the coin x circulating supply

The community behind doge coin and its simplicity are amongst the features that makes still a recognizable coin till today despite the fall in many altcoins and they losing their potential of not really going to make it back up again. If the altcoin season should come today, holders of doge coin are amongst those I feel will really benefit from the market. It has low transaction fees and also fast in transactions, that’s already a huge advantage it has over other coins today and reason behind its dominance till date.

Those two factors can't be overemphasized when it comes to Dogecoin. The fastest Bitcoin confirmation when network is freest doesn't even come a pole close to it. I was wowed the first time I used it. Its confirmation speed was like lightening. I mentioned this to another crypto enthusiast at the time and dude said it was because Dogecoin didn't have that level of traffic Bitcoin or other top coins had. Anyway, whichever is the case, I'm still surprised that not so many people even like using Dogecoin apart from those gambling.

Tbh, apart from Bitcoin I barely like any other coin. Because besides investment, BTC also gives me some extra utility and use cases when I need them.

I treat alts all the same. If a coin has profit potential, I'll pay attention to it. If that potential is gone, there's no reason for me to keep following it.

Same goes for DOGE. I don't see that huge upside in it anymore. Fast and cheap? Come on, plenty of altcoins do the same thing. That's not enough for me to keep holding DOGE.

I always see meme coins as memes. Before considering it as a serious investment, one should consider its risks. For me, the most attractive aspect of Dogecoin is its community and easy transaction facilities. Although it started as a funny meme, it has gained global recognition, with each coin now worth $0.077. However, when it comes to investing, I think that the popularity of a coin and the potential for long-term investment are not the same thing. So even if you are interested in it, you should not ignore the risk. Some people go to casinos for fun, while others buy meme coins, both are the same to me.

What amazes me the most is that experts don't believe in Doge because of its inflationary supply, while the project is smoothly running since day one. It is prven to be code solid more than many other blockchains that are always vulnerable to attacks and manipulation. Doge is always here ranking at top used cryptocurrencies of all times and despite all the critics.

It amazes me despite I have never used Doge for payment or investment. And despite I adopt the idea that this project should vanish at any time sooner. However, I like its perfermance and how it is community most trusted project. As for the inflation, I think this is the most critical point.

"Cheapness" and "fastness" are the snake oil that i don't like about it, because those are just illusions. It's not cheap, but overpriced (high on the marketcap) and i doubt it would scale well, so i don't see it being "fast".

What i did liked about it at the start was what it represented. At the time bitcoin wasn't as serious as it is, and doge was even less serious. People were mocking it that it makes crypto look silly, but since miners and holders were making fun of themselves, it was impossible to mock. And when someone accidentally donated a lot of it for a racecar, it somehow got real and positive PR.

It was the start of meme-economy that's mocking "real" markets. That's what i like about it.

Doge is just a memecoin. It was originally created as a joke to poke fun at crypto craze back then, not for any serious financial purpose. What more can you ask from memecoin?

If I remember right, DOGE once pumped 800% in a single day and did 100x during the 2021 bull run. Plenty of people banked serious gains and some even got rich off it back then.

I dunno why Elon went with Dogecoin, but afaik, he's a big fan of dogs. Haha.

Other than paving way for the booming meme market, nothing is so exceptional about doge, new meme coins are sprouting out daily, most of which do much better than Doge in price before dumping, nothing is likeable about a hype, had there been a use case attached, that would be different.

In short, my first reason is of course because dogecoin is just an internet joke, it used to be when the saturation and uncertainty of the crypto market the emergence of doge was entertainment from various speculations that were too rigid and serious.
Secondly because it is often pumped by Elon Musk, it is an honest reason and at the same time a profit opportunity in its time. But now I no longer trade or invest in dogecoin.

Well that's what I like about Dogecoin is, Elon Musk acted again then there is a possibility that the price rose many times, besides him then the price of doge will not move.

If not wrong Tesla never received Doge payments, although we do not know if there has ever been someone buying a Tesla car paying with this memecoin? I don't like them at all, unless they are used for gambling.

Dogecoin was the first memecoin that was able to catch my attention especially when people had fun with it on the internet. I like its funny nature, cheapness and the friendly community behind it. Those things made me curious to know more about it at that time. It started as a joke and people also showed interest on it which makes dogecoin different from other cryptocurrency. It's interesting with the discussion but I really don't take the discussions about Alt coins so serious as they're made an alternative from the choices in crypto currency investment.
Reasons being that bitcoin has really dominated the digital and decentralized market which as investor's may prioritized on their decisions of what coin to invest in based on their properties which includes reliability and valuability of the coins with the potentiality to hedge against inflation.
I agree with you that the Doge Coin though is one of the famous Alt coins but the truth is that I don't have it to my portfolio. Maybe I'll own it sometimes after much. For now I'm focused on bitcoin.
