What do you like the most about Dogecoin?

We have the same reason why I like this coin, the foundation is transaction speed & low transaction costs. Dogecoin (DOGE) was also one of my early crypto assets, alongside Bitcoin (BTC) & Ethereum (ETH). I held onto a large amount back then, believing the price surge hype would continue, in reality, I don’t hold a single Dogecoin (DOGE) anymore. Ah, how I miss those golden days .

Maybe you only miss the meme coins, because I think their hype seems to have lie low for a while. Or maybe you miss the Dogecoin itself or its era? Hhmm.. No doubt, it was one of those good things in crypto in the past, as almost all of us got instantly rich because of it. This can be a valid answer to your question right there. The other would be is that I love using Dogecoin in gambling, as I can place a whole crypto or whole number on it (e.g. 1 DOGE or more per spin). While usually on Bitcoin, we can only place 0.00001 - 0.0001, and so on... I feel betting seems fun and easier if I use Dogecoin. And as you mention, it is cheap and quicker too than many heavy mainstream coins like Bitcoin.

It's interesting with the discussion but I really don't take the discussions about Alt coins so serious as they're made an alternative from the choices in crypto currency investment.
Reasons being that bitcoin has really dominated the digital and decentralized market which as investor's may prioritized on their decisions of what coin to invest in based on their properties which includes reliability and valuability of the coins with the potentiality to hedge against inflation.
I agree with you that the Doge Coin though is one of the famous Alt coins but the truth is that I don't have it to my portfolio. Maybe I'll own it sometimes after much. For now I'm focused on bitcoin.

Nobody's denying Bitcoin's dominance or its potential, and sure, it should make up the bulk of your portfolio. But that doesn't mean investing in altcoins is a bad idea. They can offer massive upside that Bitcoin just can't match. Of course, it's high risk, high reward, but it's worth a shot imo.

As  for Dogecoin , I find  it pretty interesting and like it too .  But as an investment?  Hmm,  I'd still rather put my money elsewhere.

They think to much negativity on other alts including Dogecoin. If they always feel like that, they might won't experience the same huge gains gotten by lucky altcoin holders before, especially on Dogecoin or other top alts.

But actually its not all about investment, since there are ways on how they could able to use their Dogecoin.

You are right, so many people come to know About crypto through the hope of doge meme coin then, it is one of the meme coins that has changed peoples life in cryptocurrency, and so many people become rich and started to diversify into other coins and Bitcoin got more adoption then, but the project is not performing as it should be based on the hype they got in the past. I expected Doge coin to do better in the last bull run, but it didn’t happen because so many altcoins try their best but doge failed to pump as expected, and I don’t expect any high pump anytime because to see doge at $0.5 anymore; unless if the price of every crypto got higher; I will rather go for other projects than to go for Doge now despite all the memories it has given the crypto community in the past.

Memecoin cryptocurrency in general because i barely know a thing about Dogecoin. I'm interested in a project that is useful in a few instances, Doge obviously, which is 11th in market capitalization, i think before they made that much progress, it was something worked out thoughtfully with the developers, something the majority of new memecoins lack, zero thought on what a memecoin will serve before launching.

This Dogecoin has drove so many people into the crypto because at time moment it was the Memecoins that do much better during his times even in terms of transactions everything was so easy and simple their transactions fees is so cheaper, that’s the one reason why a lots of people have interest on the Dogecoin. But now that people’s are expecting the Memecoins to better in the next bull market, i don’t think it can happen base on how the market is reading currently now they will not hope that the dogecoin can pump up to higher level in the next bull run.

Sending tips (micropayments) to other people online, is one of the strongest use cases for Dogecoin. I guess that's why so many people love it. The "meme" coin is also dirt-cheap, opening the doors of crypto land to anyone. Greater accessibility means higher adoption over the long term. One of the things I love about Dogecoin (besides being fast and cheap to use) is that it can be "merged mined" with Litecoin. Both cryptos share the same scrypt PoW algorithm, allowing miners to mine them simultaneously. DOGE can enjoy the security of LTC's network hashrate as a result.

Now, there are sidechains and L2 networks being built on top of Dogecoin. People will be able to interact with smart contracts ("De-Fi") and more using DOGE alone. Talk about convenience. No matter how high or low market prices turn out to be in the long run, there's no denying that 1 DOGE will always be equal to 1 DOGE. Hopefully, the coin will stay with us forever.

Tbh, apart from Bitcoin I barely like any other coin. Because besides investment, BTC also gives me some extra utility and use cases when I need them.

I treat alts all the same. If a coin has profit potential, I'll pay attention to it. If that potential is gone, there's no reason for me to keep following it.

Same goes for DOGE. I don't see that huge upside in it anymore. Fast and cheap? Come on, plenty of altcoins do the same thing. That's not enough for me to keep holding DOGE.

For those that see beyond just investing in cryptocurrencies (altcoins) will see DOGE and embrace it because of its other features that now all altocins may have it. Your point is also valid, but I still think that not all investors invest in a coin just for the profits they can get from it, other characteristics is the coin that makes it different from other altcoins makes them their best choice and this can also affect their mindset towards wanting to keep the coins for the long term through good and bad times in the market. Some coins are not just for the profits, other benefits are what attracts people to them like speed, transaction fees and simplicity.

The reasons for liking it will be different for different people but you have already mentioned the main reason for liking it. Dogecoin is very easy to use and it can be used easily with a small amount, so it becomes a coin that everyone likes within a moment.

Other coins have also gained popularity even though they cannot be used quickly but compared to them. Personally, like the affordability and the ability to use it quickly more.

There's no guarantee we will make massive gains with altcoins. But yeah, at least they still offer something Bitcoin can barely deliver these days:  a shot at explosive gains that can multiply  your money several times over .  With BTC's marketcap already so huge , that  kind of upside is pretty  much a thing  of the past for  Bitcoin.

I know everyone has their own approach to investing. But tbh, it's tough to land huge gains with an ultra conservative mindset.

I still love Dogecoin, but the only problem that I could see is the supply; it has unlimited coins that can be mine, unlike BTC, which is limited to 21m.
Unlimited supply could make the coin much cheaper in the future if we do have a plan to hold it in a few decades. For me, it won't be worth it if you bought them expensive.

What else do you think will drive more users into using doge coin, it's the cheapest price and faster confirmation, nothing much. Tthe coin is hiding now because the trend is dying out, only the old crypto enthusiast keeps an eye on it, newer crypto lovers doesn't talk about it because it's an old coin that came before them.

What makes it more attracting now too is the fact that Elon Musk started having interest in it then, and announced it to be included into x usage. Doge will do better number cos of Elon influence.

If there's one thing I truly love about Dogecoin, is its vibrant community. Lots of Dogecoin enthusiasts coming up with fresh ideas for the cryptocurrency. The Dogecoin Labs effort is a latest example of this. Let's just hope Dogecoin stays decentralized and censorship-resistant for generations.

DOGE was worth next to nothing when it first came out, but it eventually hit an ATH of $0.7, CMIIW. That's a return of millions of percent, and plenty of people made fortune from it. So is it really fair to say it was never an investment just because that wasn't the original idea??

DOGE  can be used for payment  and still be an asset people  buy and hold to make a  profit. A coin's original purpose doesn't determine how people will use it down the  line.

You’re right, Elon is a fan of this coin. In fact, not a year goes by without him posting a tweet about Dogecoin (DOGE). The last time this year he made it was last March, creating a tweet with a The Godfather theme, reimagined as The Dogfather, LOL.

Furthermore, supply is indeed a key issue & a consideration for investors when deciding whether to commit significant money to this coin, its unlimited supply & lack of a robust ecosystem make it akin to FIAT currency.
