Blazecoin (BLZ) Public Pool
scrypt proof of work, 30-second blocks, a 2014 chain that never stopped

  Connect

  Stratum: stratum+tcp://blazecoin.co.uk:3333
  Username: your worker name
  Password: your worker secret

Both come from the Mining Pool page after you register a miner on the site. Every worker has its own secret, so nobody can mine under your
  name.

  Pool details

  • Payout scheme: PROP, weighted by share difficulty

  • Fee: 1%

  • Payouts: every 15 minutes, 1 BLZ minimum

  • Vardiff: starts at 16 and adjusts to your hashrate, from USB sticks to large ASICs

  • Block reward: 25.8125 BLZ, a block every 30 seconds, difficulty retargets every block (Phoenix-413)

  • Tested with: cgminer / bfgminer on USB sticks, and Goldshell scrypt ASICs

Example (cgminer):

Code:
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://blazecoin.co.uk:3333 -u YOUR_WORKER_NAME -p YOUR_WORKER_SECRET

  Getting an account

Sign-up on the site is invite-only for now. Invite codes are free: ask in Telegram or Discord and say
you want to mine. Once registered, open the Mining Pool page, add a miner, and point your rig at the stratum above.

You will need a BLZ address for payouts. The wallets are on GitHub (desktop), or use the web wallet at
  gw.blazecoin.co.uk.

  Honest disclosure

Today almost all of the network hashrate comes from the maintainer's own rigs. That is exactly why this thread exists: the chain needs more independent miners. Solo mining against your own
node with getblocktemplate works too, and other pools are welcome.

  Notes

  • The website, including pool registration, is not available from the United Kingdom or from sanctioned countries.
  • Blazecoin is not listed on any exchange at the moment. Mine it because you want to support a 2014 scrypt chain, not for profit.
  • Full project details, specifications and wallets: [ANN] Blazecoin (BLZ) V2.0

Pool update, 24 October

Big scrypt ASICs now reach their working difficulty within a minute of connecting, instead of four. Vardiff re-checks every 5 seconds while a rig is over target and climbs at least 4x each step, and the pool honours
mining.suggest_difficulty if your firmware sends it. Every rig on the pool came back after the change with zero rejected shares.

If you tried the pool with an Elphapex DG1 and it kept failing over to your backup, please try again: that was the problem this fixes. Full write-up of what was going wrong is in Mining (Altcoins):
Why big scrypt rigs drop off small pools.

Stratum unchanged: stratum+tcp://blazecoin.co.uk:3333, worker name and secret from the Mining Pool page.

    Is this your rig? evilgenius1999

A rig using the worker name evilgenius1999.f4c99bc3c7 has been knocking on the pool roughly every 15 minutes since 21 October, day and night. Every time it is turned away, because that worker isn't registered  here, so none of its shares count.

My guess is that our pool is set as a backup in its pool list and it fails over to us on a timer. If it's yours, you're one step from being paid for that time:

      [list=1]

    • Ask for a free invite code in Telegram or Discord (sign-up is invite-only for now).

    • Register on the site, open the Mining Pool page and add a miner. The worker name is your choice; you get a secret for it.

    • Put that worker name and secret in the rig, using stratum+tcp://blazecoin.co.uk:3333.

Big rig? Put the starting difficulty after the secret, for example YOUR_WORKER_SECRET,d=65536. The pool also remembers each worker's last difficulty between connections now.

1% PROP, payouts every 15 minutes.

How to give a friend your invite codes (and your mining referral codes)

Sign-up on the site is still invite-only, so the quickest way to get a friend onto the pool is to give them one of your own codes. Every account has two different kinds of code, and they do different jobs:

        • Site invite code: lets someone create an account. A long code with dashes, 36 characters, for example 1a2b3c4d-1234-5678-9abc-0123456789ab.
        • Mining referral code: typed when they register their first miner on the pool. Short, always PICK- plus four characters, for example PICK-7KQ3.
A friend who mines needs one of each from you: the invite code to get in, then the PICK code for their first miner.

Part 1: Give a site invite code

        Find your codes
        [list=1]
        • Sign in at blazecoin.co.uk/UserAccountPage (your account page).
        • If you have unused codes, a strip at the top says "You have N invite codes waiting." Click Share my codes and the page jumps to them.
        • Or scroll to the Social Tasks group and click the Invite Codes — Pass The Red Pill card to expand it (it starts collapsed).
The table has one row per code: # | Invite Code | Copy | Share | Status | Redeemed By | Date.
        • Pending: not used yet. Only give these out.
        • Used: someone joined with it. Redeemed By shows their email, partly hidden (al***@example.com).
Send it, one of these ways:
        • Copy the code: click the clipboard button in the Copy column (it says "Copied!"). It copies only the code, so paste it to your friend with the sign-up link: blazecoin.co.uk/Account/Register
        • Send a ready-made link (easiest for them): put the code on the end of the sign-up link and the form fills it in for them:
          https://blazecoin.co.uk/Account/Register?invite=YOUR-CODE-HERE
        • Use a share button: the Share column has Facebook, Messenger, X, Telegram, WhatsApp and email buttons. Each one sends "Join me on Blazecoin! Use my invite code … to sign up:" with that link already built.
Things to know before you hand one over
        • Each code works once. Give one code to one person.
        • Send it privately (forum PM, DM, email). A code posted publicly goes to whoever is quickest, which may not be your friend.
        • The code isn't used until your friend confirms their email. If they sign up with email and password and wait to click the confirmation link, someone else who has the same code can confirm first and take it. The code then stays Pending in your table until someone confirms. Signing up with Google, Discord, Telegram or Facebook uses the code straight away.
        • You can't use your own code on a second account. That is refused, and it is one person, one account anyway.
        • Codes don't expire.

Run out? Once all five of your codes are used, a Generate 5 Bonus Codes button appears on the same card.

Rewards: see the Invite Codes card on your account page for how invite rewards work.

Part 2: Give a mining referral code (PICK-XXXX)

        [list=1]
        • On your account page, under Mining Tasks, open Mining Referrals — Build the Crew. You have five PICK- codes there, each with a Copy button.
        • Send one to your friend along with their invite code.
        • They type it in the Referral code (optional, PICK-XXXX) box when they register their first miner. It only counts on the first miner, so it can't be added afterwards. Capitals don't matter.
Rewards: see the Mining Referrals card on your account page for how referral rewards work.

Part 3: What your friend does next

Paste this to them, or link them to this post:

        [list=1]
        • Create the account at blazecoin.co.uk/Account/Register. Paste the whole invite code into Invite Code (the link fills it in for you). Password: at least 8 characters with an upper-case letter, a lower-case letter, a number and a symbol. You must be 18 or over and not living in the UK or a blocked country.
        • Confirm your email straight away. The code only becomes yours when you click the link, and the first person to confirm a code gets it. The link lasts 24 hours; signing in again sends a fresh one. Accounts never confirmed are deleted after 14 days.
        • Add and verify a payout address. On your account page, put your BLZ address in the Wallet Address card, then click Verify ownership: sign the message shown with your wallet, paste the signature back and click Verify. Use a legacy B… address for this step. Need a wallet? Desktop wallets are on GitHub, or use the web wallet at gw.blazecoin.co.uk.
        • Register a miner on the Mining Pool page under Register New Miner: a worker name (must be unique on the pool), an optional payout address, and the PICK- code you were given. Click Register.
        • Copy the worker secret right away. It is shown once. If you lose it, the key button makes a new one.
        • Point the rig at the pool:
          Code:
          URL:      stratum+tcp://blazecoin.co.uk:3333
          Username: YOUR_WORKER_NAME
          Password: YOUR_WORKER_SECRET
Big ASIC? Add a starting difficulty after the secret, e.g.
YOUR_WORKER_SECRET,d=65536. Up to 5 miners per account.
        • Payouts run every 15 minutes once you reach 1 BLZ (1% PROP).

Your friend gets five invite codes and five PICK codes of their own, so they can do the same for the next person.

        Quick troubleshooting
        • "An invite code is required to register." The box is empty. Paste the code, or use the link with ?invite=.
        • "Invalid or already used invite code." It was mistyped (paste all 36 characters) or someone else used it first. Ask for another one.
        • "You cannot redeem your own invite code." Exactly what it says.
        • The site won't load (error 451). It is not available from the United Kingdom or from sanctioned countries. That's deliberate and can't be worked around.
        • The rig is refused by the pool. The worker isn't registered, or the name or secret is wrong. Check both on the Mining Pool page.

#ad: invite and referral rewards are small, one-off promotional rewards. They are at the project's discretion and can be withheld for multiple accounts, automation or self-dealing. They are not an income, and their value when received may be taxable where you live. 18+ only; one person, one account; not available in the UK or sanctioned countries. BLZ trades on one very thin market, so don't expect a price.

Stuck? Reply here, or ask in Telegram / Discord. If you don't have an account yet, ask there for a code. The bots give one per person with /invite.
