If a price tag is showing hour if work instead of money, not everyone would like to work before gaining such property. In this situation it will be most convenient for people who are part time workers, and not those with permanent employment. People who do part time job can work for hours to get the property they would have purchased with money, but someone is is already employed to work in a particular place as permanent employment wouldn't have such space, maybe the only free time he will have is during weekend, and might want to use it to rest instead of engaging in other work again. So the system might be good for some persons, but not really suitable for everyone.
This system is going to make people work extra over time  just to buy thing. Main focus is to show the real cost of the product in the form of time and also how much effort is needed to earn that thing. There are people who have permanent job they can use this idea to make better spending decision if they understand how many hours they have to work on regular basis to purchase certain thing. It may encourage people to avoid unnecessary spending.
People who have permanent jobs can benefit because they do not need to be working extra hours to follow system. If a person is working 2 hours a day and he is getting money, then he does not need to work additional hours to buy the product. If they want to buy a phone, then they have to think whether it is really worth sacrificing two days of their effort or not. Understanding the time behind our earnings can help anyone to make better and wiser financial decisions.
