NULL
Privacy by default.

Website | X / Twitter | Discord | GitHub | Explorer

What is NULL?

NULL is a privacy-focused cryptocurrency where every transaction is shielded. There is no transparent pool and no opt-in privacy: shielded is the only way to transact.

Most privacy coins make privacy optional. In practice this means only a small fraction of transactions are private, the anonymity set stays small, and mixing transparent and shielded usage leaks metadata. NULL removes the choice: if every transaction is private, everyone's privacy is stronger.

The entire codebase is written from scratch in Rust — not a fork.

Key features

  • Shielded-only transactions — no transparent addresses, no metadata leaks from mixed usage
  • Zero-knowledge proofs — Halo2
  • Built in Rust from the ground up — memory safety, modern tooling, clean codebase
  • Privacy stack — NULL is more than a coin: a disposable email service is already live, more tools are coming

Specifications

Ticker[NULL]
Consensus[PoW + Equihash 144, 5]
Block time[2 Minutes]

The NULL privacy stack

Disposable email — a temporary inbox in seconds. No signup, no trace. Available at nullnet.sh.

Coming next — a zero-knowledge pastebin, followed by more privacy-first services.

Get started

Roadmap

  • ✅ Shielded-only chain implementation in Rust
  • ✅ Disposable email service
  • 🔄 Zero-knowledge pastebin
  • ⏳ Wallet mobile, Exchange listing

Privacy shouldn't be a setting. It should be the default.

NULL mining is live on NinjaRaider

    Pool | NULL website | X / Twitter

You can now mine NULL on NinjaRaider, a multi-algo mining pool with low fees and reliable payouts.

    Pool details

    Poolninjaraider.com/nullnet-pplns
    Payout schemePPLNS
    Pool fee2%

    Miner software

    • Any miner is supported, use whichever you prefer.
    • Recommended: nekominer, friendly and easy to set up (includes a 2% dev fee).

    How to start

    • Get your NULL wallet address at nullnet.sh
    • Open the pool page for connection details
    • Point your miner to the pool, using your NULL address as username
    • Track your hashrate and payouts live on the pool dashboard

    Why mine NULL?

    • Shielded-only: every transaction is private, no exceptions
    • Written from scratch in Rust
    • Privacy by default

    The NULL privacy stack

I checked out mail.nullnet.sh. It's a convenient and useful service, thank you!

I think it has one drawback, though. It's technically part of the NULL project, but it has no connection to the NULL cryptocurrency. If you're building services like this, it might make sense to add some premium features that can only be paid for with NULL. That way, they would truly become part of the ecosystem.

For example, in the email service, where a mailbox lasts for one hour and can be extended for another hour by clicking a button in the interface, you could add an option to extend its lifetime for longer periods (so users wouldn't have to click the button every hour), but require payment in NULL for that.

It could be just a symbolic amount. The main point is to create a connection to the core project.

Thanks for trying mail.nullnet.sh and for the feedback, glad you find it useful!

You're absolutely right, and that's exactly the direction we want to go: the services should be tied to the NULL coin and give it real utility inside the ecosystem. Extended mailbox lifetime paid in NULL is a great example of that.

The problem right now is practical: NULL isn't listed on any exchange yet. Until it is, payments in NULL can't be converted into anything, and running these services (servers, infrastructure, development) has real costs. So for now, any paid feature needs to be paid with something that has a market price, so we can actually fund the project.

Once NULL gets listed, we'll add NULL as a payment option for premium features, so every service on nullnet.sh becomes a real use case for the coin.

Thanks again, this kind of feedback really helps!
New pool: rplant now supports NULL

rplant, a long-running multi-coin CPU pool, has added NULL with both shared and solo mining:

    ModePayoutFee
    SharedPROP1%
    SoloSolo2%

    Connect: pool.rplant.xyz

rplant is run by a third party, not by us, so check their terms before pointing hashrate at it.

Congratulations on mainnet and on shipping a shielded-only design from scratch — the whole-pool model is exactly what “privacy by default” should mean in practice.

NoirTrade has integrated NULL on Null network:

    • Deposits — per-account shielded addresses (null1…) via null-wallet-rpc, credited after chain confirmations
    • Withdrawals — hot-wallet sends to user null1 addresses on nullnet
    • Fees — aligned with NULL’s action-based fee model (not flat “guesswork” network fees)
    • Trading — NULL available on our spot order book alongside other privacy-focused assets

We built NoirTrade as a no-KYC exchange (Login ID only, minimal logs). Listing a coin with no transparent pool is a natural fit — we’re not asking users to deanonymize themselves to trade shielded value.

    Wallet: https://noirtrade.com/wallet/deposit?coin=NULL
    Market: https://noirtrade.com/trade?pair=NULL_USDT
    Site: https://noirtrade.com

Happy to be one of the first venues supporting NULL while the roadmap still has “exchange listing” in flight. Welcome to traders and miners looking for a privacy-first off-ramp/on-ramp.
