Most of the times I just wonder that sometimes when a problem affect other people, many of us just watch and move on because we feel that it doesn’t concern us but  when the same thing now happen to us or someone that is close to us, we then want everybody to listen and pay attention to us.
Well maybe some people are afraid to speak up and say their mind while some other people just feel that Ben if they complain nothing will still change. I try to understand how that feels especially when some people have voiced out before without seeing any result but if we keep ignoring this problems until they affects us personally, won’t it now become harder for us to stand together as one when it really matters?

What do you think is the reason behind why people behave this way? Is it truly out of fear, lack of trust or just the way we have become used to living?

This is why the economy of Nigeria is what it is now because those that are enjoying from the government of Tinubu are not speaking up due to tribalism, they tend to ignore the sufferings of the common and less privileges just because the system favors them. This has become a norm in this country not just Nigeria but all over the world, it's a sickness in the society that is affecting us slowly and we have refused to talk about it,  so I'm happy seeing you create this thread because it's one of the key factors that affects us a people and country.

One of uncles do say!, "if you speak up you will die and if you don't you will still die so why won't you speak up when things are going out of hand", those that are in the right position to speak are being bribe somethings to shut them up. I have discovered that anyone who is a beneficiary of any bad government or systems usually don't speak up because of the benefits they are deriving hence it because difficult to speak up even in the face of intimation.

How'll they speak when they are benefiting from the said government, do you expect somebody like wike to speak against this government when he now owns more than half of Abuja something he has been praying for since, in his minds if know how to swear Tinubu in again.witouy election conducted, he will do it asap, or is it Dave Umahi the minister works you want to speak against their corrupt government, these people will never speak against the worst government that I have seen since Nigeria has their independence, do we even has opposition, we started noticing strong opposition that has started speaking out as election is approaching, Nigeria is truly in a serious period because no one is speaking for the purpose of truth, anyone that speaks now is aiming for something, what a country.

We don’t see ourselves as one that is why things like this are common in today’s society. A community where love don’t exist everyone will look after what concerns them. You can’t blame them because we are all interested in what will benefit. We have to see ourselves as one beyond religion, ethics and political divides before we can actually stand up for each others. Sometimes the leaders of the country or community deliberately sponsor agendas that will make the masses hate each other, so the people don’t see themselves as one, knowing fully well that if we come together and speak in one voice that it will be a problem for them.

Exactly!!! There’s power in Unity and if people can come together as one believe me they will achieve lot of things. We can see from what happened during the end sars protest when massive crowds gathered to say enough is enough, if not for some betrayals it was almost achievable. People tend to behave that way due to so many factors, one of the most common one is because everyone is busy looking for where they will benefit from and secondly even if you speak out against them, at the end of the day if you don’t have any strong backing nothing will still change and you will end up getting betrayed by people who you thought were with you because they want to buy favour from them.

I was going through Instagram today and saw some of the popular Nigeria celebrities lot of us know supporting this current president. One of them even say that no matter what will happen that he go gather dey for president BAT and that it was because of president BAT that Lagos is where it is today. I became lost because I wonder if he wasn't seeing what the country was turning into under president BAT. How the hell could he even compare Lagos that is just a state to Nigeria a country?

Dude even said that because his investment is in Lagos and Lagos made him that president BAT must enter the second time. Fuck, I was pissed off because I know that the dude was just saying all that stuff because he has hasn't been in the trenches before. Hell yeah, I don't even think he knows what suffering looks like that is why he isn't complaining.  And this is the kind of person that some of us call call role model. People that don't even give a single fuck about us, all they care of is theirself. And if they keep on benefiting then they are ready to keep their mouth shut up.

That reel made me to started to be thinking of what Nigeria will turn out to be if president BAT come again for second term, my brothers and sisters if that happens am sorry to say this but we are fucked. Because we may start buying one pure water for #300.

You are right, a lot of persons are like that but sometimes you shouldn't blame people who are not taking what happens to other persons serious because before somebody will support you to speak up you that was affected is meant to start the process before people would be able to start backing you up because when something happen and you just fold your arms waiting for intervention from people nobody would be ready to do anything, and besides for now social media is the strength of all the Nigerians so whenever a victim brought any incident that happens to them with a video evidence a lot of people usually assist them by sharing all over so that it will get to the right people.

The way things are happening now is scary you decide to speak for someone and they come for you so every one is minding their business and I also feel that human being is just wired in a way that when something happens they want to keep their own space not necessarily because they're heartless but it's just a way of protecting their space.

People can also not speak up till it gets to others because of fear this days you don't even know who to trust anymore, people are very wicked and heartless so before you speak for someone you must have had several thoughts running in your head because of fear and to be honest the way things are happening right now everyone seems tired already, the economy is dealing with people so I feel that people will just think that the problem they have is really too much to be worrying about someone else's. Everyone is just minding their business nowadays, you get yourself involved and gets in trouble most times you land yourself in police custody so all these and many other reasons people just decide to mind their business.

I also feel other Reason might be people who didn't get help when they were in trouble will eventually want to do same thing and not also speak up for others when they need to personally for me I don't get myself involve not because I don't care or that I'm wicked, but just simply to stay out of trouble.

I still can not forget one move I watch sometime ago. In that movie a teach walked in and asked a student to leave the class room and never come back to that class again after that incident no one questioned his decision, then the  teacher asked if his actions on that student was right or wrong. On that he got no good response, after that he made them understand that it is so because it was not their business.
In our daily lifes we fail to acknowledge that the problem of one is meant to be the problem of all and until we spread love  among each other then alone are we going to know that life at times present to us what it likes and not what we like, its advisable loving each other because we can't tell when our turn will come

We have never spoken of any good about the government which is to tell you that they aren't doing well. To make the matter worse, people who should be talking sense to the president have not been doing so. They have refuse to give the president sound advice regarding the current economy and security situation in the country. Those minister you mentioned above would never say anything bad about the current administration because they are part and parcel of the government

Wike and Dave umahi are members of the cabals that are ruling this country. They may be senior ministers to the public but they say matters in the country. What they advised the president is exactly what he does which is why the country hasn't moved forward.

Nigerians don’t love themselves, their is so much of language, tribal and religious diversity’s, that is why people literally feel less concerned as long as a particular thing is not happening to them, take the military for example, if an American soldier is injured or captured during combat, you will see that America will send almost all their machinery to ensure they recover their soldier but if it where to be Nigeria the government might even deny such a soldier that they don’t know anything about him.

Corruption, tribalism, religion have really taken away love from Nigerians, no one cares genuinely about their neighbors, one politician can amass so much wealth for his 5th and 6th generations whereas certain Nigerians don’t have food to eat, in some areas neighbors might be under attack from armed robbers and no one can call the police to help, even if they call the police the police wont even show up because their is no value for human lives in Nigeria.

Things have really fallen apart in Nigeria, and same energy of not caring about one’s neighbor have spread everywhere, until Nigerians learn to love their neighbors as themselves nothing will change.

What do you think is the reason behind why people behave this way? Is it truly out of fear, lack of trust or just the way we have become used to living?

I think that it's two ways, either lack of love and togetherness or fear, because if we are truly our brothers keeper as the Bible advice us to, we can not plays a blind eye to something that is happening to the next person.

Some people use the excuse of minding their own business or protecting their peace, but the truth is that their is no real love in our society today, because if you have a genuine love for someone, you are ready to go to war for someone, even though you can easily keep quiet and mind your business.

Another thing is fear, because you may want to speak up, but when you look at who is behind it, you will be forced to shut up because you can easily be a victim by trying to stretch a helping hand.

All these things you've just mentioned are all true and that is the kind of society we find ourselves as of today. People tend to be more concerned about their own selves and not for what will be of benefit to the general public. However, what I know is that nothing last forever in live, everything on earth has an expiring date and that is how it is. If Wike and his gangs of currupt leaders like, they can do all what they want for all I care, let me take it that it's their time. Perhaps they should enjoy it while it lasts because a day of accountability is inevitable and by that day, they will surely pay for all the evil they have done to Nigeria unless there is no God.

This thing is a collective thing.  And only one person cannot do it. It's like everybodies mins supposed to be in sync, if not just one person cannot actually speak up and it will be heard. Another thing is that people have single handedly spoken up and have gotten results. So I believe that it most things that happen is as a result of coincidence. Who knows what will happen next, no one. That's why we should keep on speaking up and voicing out. Just maybe that day you try it, your voice will be heard.

I will say there are people who are greedy ana selfish, they are promoting corruption and are happy because they are benefiting from it and they don't care about others, if not for wickedness how can someone see bad and call it good, Wike will keep supporting tinubu because he is one of the top beneficiary in this government but they forgot that every thing is vanity.

Guy it is an unfortunate situation that gets me pissed, the painful part is that most of them doing that shit may not benefit anything even as they are doing it, this is not only selfishness and greed, those guys do not think fine, I have always ask, is their anything left for us to see in Tinubu's government that will trigger anyone to risk their life in making such dangerous move, I call city boys movement dangerous move because, people may turn violent against them soon, of course wike can do anything to make sure that Tinubu returns come 2027, cause he know what might befall him if things does work as they panned it.
